We have an organic garden plus small orchard.

We live by the sea in south Connemara. When the weather suits the beach is nearby for a swim. Also there is a shop about a mile from the house. It would be handy if you had a car At the moment I need help outside the house. There is bog work...turf to be saved. Painting for doing Experience with painting will be useful . One wooden shed to be washed down and painted. Perhaps some grass cutting. Generally people stay a week so whatever can be done in that time is good. We can talk about how to plan the day out when we email. ??

At present we are looking for someone to do general house work. In particular we need someone who can cook, knows their way around keeping a house together (clean and tidy!) and sometimes can help to mind a stubborn 4 year old and a crazy 3 year old. We have an absence of extended family in our vicinity as I am not originally from Galway!

We live in a lovely area of Galway, 15 mins by bus to the centre. We have a lovely park beside us called Cappagh Park, and Barna Woods is lovely for a walk. We are also between two coastal areas, Salthill; a very well known area of Galway, and Silver Strand in Barna, so there is access to nice beach walks or walking/jogging the Salthill Prom - this is a stretch of 3km and overlooks Galway Bay.
Galway is well known for it's multicultural aspects and there is always something to do or go to here, unfortunately not for parents of small babies though!! There are many festivals or mini festivals. A quick google search would give you some idea! We ar... more inside

This is an 18th century listed Georgian residence, set in tranquil parkland located on the Tipperary/Kilkenny border in the beautiful South East of Ireland.

We run a dairy farm of Friesian/Jersey cows in a spring calving, grass-based system where our cows live outdoors for most of the year. As well as cows and calves we have dogs, cats, a horse and a peacock. There is a lodge that is a gate lodge to here, which we run as a 4 star self-catering holiday home. We are only 20 minutes from Kilkenny city and only 10 minutes from the nearest town where you can get the bus to Dublin or Cork which make exciting day trips. The ancient medieval city of Kilkenny is today a thriving, modern capital that has protected its precious heritage whilst evolving as one of Irelandís most vibrant and enjoyable cities. Its narrow slipways, side streets and preserved buildings, are matched only by its reputation for fine dining, great shopping, and entertainment.

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children, living on a dairy farm, with polytunnels and raised beds for vegetable growing.

We cater for both vegetarian and non vegetarian volunteers. If they wish, vegetarians can prepare their own meals. Claire is limited in her experience of cooking principally vegetarian food but is learning fast!

We will need people for seed sowing and transplanting in Spring and early Summer. Gerard would also need help sometimes with milking the cows, especially in the mornings. This job is done twice a day During Autumn and Winter, we would be doing some stone clearance, building of walls and paths and some general maintenance of the tunnels etc. /we don`t take people in December as there is little work to be done on the farm at this time.

We have recently converted a farm barn into a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchenette/living room area and a bathroom. It can accommodate up to 3 people, but usually we take 2 people at a time,... more inside

9 acre farm with an organic garden.

Help needed from mid May onwards. Help needed to mind the place and feed calves for the last week in May.

Looking for a quiet place to let nature connect with you, good food, a bed in the dwelling house or cabin and helping out for a few hours. I can share my experience in gardening and much more.

The farm is a small holding, with cattle and a vegetable garden. The work around both is soil management, feed the soil to produce grass and vegetables. making compost is a big part of it. Converting cow manure from the winter to compost. That would be turning the manure and mixing it so it breaks down to become compost that smells like chocolate cake. I am learning more on mob grazing where the cattle get fresh grass every day and tramping grass back into the ground to nourish the soil.

Projects and tasks vary through out the, year. Garden works- sowing, planting weeding harvesting and preserving the produce, helping in the kitchen, st... more inside
