I'm Catherine, in my early 50's and work from home. I live in a typical Genevois style old house in the Geneva countryside, with a large garden gone a little bit wild over the past two years. I live with several dogs and a cat, and have poultry and rabbits in the garden.
I've just completed (July 2018)a Permaculture Design course, and now starting reorganizing my garden accordingly.
My house is a non-smoker, vegetarian and pro-vegan (eat my chicken's eggs) home.
I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, and I'm hosting for free travelers through a well known social network, for many years.

Help is firstly needed in the garden:
- fix some fences and create new ones
- cut the hedge
- uproot some bushes
- clear the remains (messy branches) of a huge pine tree fallen during the winter
- stack firewood
- remove the old wooden floor of the chicken coop and fix a new one

Few things need to be fixed in the house too, but require specific/professionnal skills (p... more inside

UPDATE: We are busy planting, weeding and preparing the garden, there is lots of mowing, cutting and taking care of the property.
As usua there is also construction. At the moment we are working on painting the facade of our guest house and getting the entrance area ready and nice.
We could also do with our very own Mary Poppins, a.k.a. somebody who loves to spend time with the children and help with tasks around the house.

Thank you for your interest in our family and project! ;-)

We are a family of six living close to the Slovenian border in Southern Styria amidst vineyards and surrounded by forest and pastures. We try to live a sustainable lifestyle, growing our own food and looking for alternatives to the regular money system. The kids are 15,11,8 and a five year old, they speak German, English and Greek and are unschoolers. We have realized our dream of living on a farm five years ago and really fell in love with this property and the breathtaking landscape here. W... more inside

We provide free accomodation in your own room, free meals (mainly vegetarian), free WLAN and trips to the area from time to time. You can take days off and visit the cities of Vienna, Prag, Brno and Budapest if you are interested.

In general we prefer long term stayers as it takes some time to get to know the team and work with the dogs. You live here as part of the family in a young social project. So we expect that you take responsibility for the space we are living together in and behave as a good team member to follow our main goal - Keeping the dogs happy!

We're a family with two children (8 and 4 years old), running a permaculture project at 1300 mt. on the Swiss alps, in a small historical village served by public transports.
We have a veggie and medicinal garden, few ducks and chickens. Barbara teaches permaculture and Joe is an experienced guide in wild and medicinal herbs.

Help needed in the veggie garden (mulching, fencing, etc.), in the house (housekeeping and cooking, babysitting) as well as for harvesting and transforming wild plants. Families are welcome.

Experience with gardening, carpentry, hospitality, and animals is ideal. Currently looking for long term helpers/farmsitters for July/August, possibly through September.

We don't smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs and appreciate the same in others.

We are an artist/musician American/Austrian couple, 49 and 61, living on a mini-farm in the famous Vienna Woods outside the city. Beautiful scenic area; sort of the first baby foothills of the Alps. A rare combination of quiet peaceful seclusion where you can see the stars at night, surrounded by thousands of acres of public forest land for hiking, yet only 45 minutes from the city center of Vienna.

This is an ideal home base for touring the amazing city of Vienna, the rest of Austria and central Europe. The world class museums and amazing architecture of the city, plus medieval castles, historic monasteries and churches, quaint villages, and gorgeous mountains all within an easy day's drive if you have a car, or by the slightl... more inside
