We`re an English couple living in a cave that we have renovated. We supply our energy from solar and turbine power, and our water comes from our well. We have 10 rescue dogs, 4 cats, a goat and chickens. We spend many enjoyable hours working on the garden or renovating the caves. We have carved this simple lifestyle that we love for ourselves, and we welcome you to come and share it with us. We prefer to host helpers for short stays of 1-2 weeks, but longer stays are available for the right people, particularly if you are staying in your own camper van or tent.

Depending on your skills we need help with a number of jobs. From painting, or some minor construction work, to renovating furniture, or gardening or fencing - the jobs are varied. The property is peaceful and isolated but Baza town is only 10-15 minutes` drive away. The town is a good size with supermarkets, a wide range of shops, a hospital, health clubs, swimming pools, discos, bars and many restaurants. We ... more inside

We are a small olive hobby farm and we keep several types of animals including sheep,a donkey with character and a pony. We need help with agricultural work and small building projects all year round. We are in Freginals in the Montsia region of Tarragona. There are lots of things to do in the area and the mountains are excellent for hiking.
We have two bicycles available and take our volunteers sightseeing too and a two man kayak for the adventurous. The accomodation is a cute casita with an attached bathroom. We supply all bedding and towels and laundry.

If you fancy two or more weeks in a pretty little valley spot with six dogs, a flock of sheep and a naughty donkey and pony then let us know. : )
We`re ideally looking for two volunteers to work together.

James and Cathy and our friend Tracy.

PS We'd also be interested in long term stays from volunteers.

Description
===========
We are a family of six, two parents and four children (born between 2006 and 2012) with a big ecologic permaculture garden, many fruit trees, some animals, a big climbing frame with swings and a trapeze, and a lot of ideas to improve our infrastructure.

At the moment we live in a wooden house with two storeys made of Euro pallets. Our plan is to have some stone houses (made of natural volcanic stones) for us and some wooden houses for our guests.

IMPORTANT: We know, we live in a magical place. But you should also know, that we live quite rustic. And we want to improve, that means, we need people that are interested in really helping, in hard work, not ONLY play with the children.

Our project is located in a bird sanctuary, surrounded by forest of cork oaks and many other types of trees, with running water all around. It’s an idyllic, peaceful place. The trees are amazing... The nearest (small) village is a twenty minute walk up the mountain from our valley. We are creating a forest garden and retreat/workshop space. There are already lots of mature trees, vines and bushes onsite, including orange, mandarin, lemon, fig, apple, pear, quince, avocado, pomegranate, peach, apricot, kiwi, wineberry, grapes, cherry, sharon/persimmon and olive. There are also some edible mushrooms that grow wild on-site and in the surroundingarea. We like to follow permaculture principles, to work with nature, help build the soil and maintain a habitat for wildlife. There are many kinds of insects, lizards, snakes, wild boar, foxes and other animals in the area.
Our diet includes lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and local eggs. A vegan diet can be adhered to quite easily. Other spec... more inside

I live in the village of Arbucies and I am growing some vegetables. There is already some people helping so I am currently not looking for anybody else. How ever u could come if u got ur own camper or a tent. The place is a hut and it is surrounded by trees. There is no basic services at that place, just a fireplace and some water in a tank. I'm not providing food.

I think this is a good oportunity for somebody that woould like to stay for a while in a place close to the nature. Also for a couple or group of people that would like to live freely or to stablish here, so there are also posibilities to get a field and growing vegetables.

Even if you don't like the idea of living apart you can allways come over to visit me and be my guest for some days.

We are a family living in a beautiful and remote valley 25 km south of Ronda (Málaga).
We are 1'5 km from the nearest little village.
We invite you to share our idyllic location for rustic living and help us to develop our organic, permaculture garden.
Our ideal volunteer would have building skills and enjoy construction projects such as erecting a dry toilet, repairing fencing, as well as daily gardening depending on the season.
The accommodation comprises a bed-sit room in a building set apart from the main house. volunteers would be welcome to share our long drop compost toilet, shower and kitchen facilities.
In your time off there are opportunities to go walking in the surrounding countryside, visit Ronda, visit a local horse sanctuary, learn about foraging for edible wild food, visiting other farms, meet other volunteers, make music and swim in the river.

This is an Asturian farming spot where a multidisciplinary project is being materialized. Here we bring to practice the principles of agroecology, gardening, nature courses, the responsible use of natural resources, ethnobotanics and traditions by creating a kind of spiritual and nature-close retirement in the middle of the mountains.

Our farm is located in a small settlement called Camales belonging to the city of Oviedo. Less than half a dozen of people are living in this village which is at distance of only 5km from Trubia, where you can find grocery stores as well as all other basic services, local buses and trains. With the train line from Trubia to the city centre of Oviedo it`s only a 15min trip. Despite of being so close to the Asturian capital (less than 20km), it was possible to maintain the spirit of country life. At our spot time appears to stand still.

Far away from daily stress and the common worries of our society we, Mario from Austria and German from Andalucia ... more inside

We are really interested in long stay applicants (3 weeks+) interested in permaculture and sustainability or able to help us with Spanish and/or Catalan.

We are managing a very small bed and breakfast on a olive and almond finca. We just arrived this spring so are In the design and implement stage of all forms of permaculture projects from sustainable living gardens to water catchment systems. We have goats that we milk for drinking raw and making cheese plus lots of baby goats that need handling and chickens for eggs. We also would like to welcome anyone with artisan abilities that work with ecological materials as we participate in local artisan festivals.

There's a shared caravan available as well as tons of space for tenting. We collect rain water, reuse our grey water (so no chemicals down the drains please), no sewer (so no paper in the toilets please), and solar electric so are an off grid experience. We have also started a coop of nearby off griders for work exchange o... more inside

We are leasing an olive, almond and carob finca in the hills above Tortosa that has been largely neglected for a couple of years. We have goats that we milk and make cheese and chickens. There's a caravan available as well as tons of space for tenting in the summer. We need help with the animals, the garden, cutting up wood , working with the trees, cutting brush, building a storage area, water catchment systems and a Billy shelter etc. We have limited running water,no sewer and solar electric so are an off grid experience. We have also started a coop of nearby off griders for work exchange once a month and product exchange as well. The town of Raval de Crist is about 2km and has wifi at the bars and Tortosa is 7km with a beautiful by the river bike/hike path. Bikes are available for use while here or there is a bus in Raval de Crist as well. We eat meat but can accommodate vegetarians; please no vegans.
