We are a family of two adults, 4 dogs and two horses looking for help on our 7 acres in the wilderness. Amazing scenery and a wonderful adventure playground.

Help would include working in garden & greenhouse, paint-jobs, taking care of dogs & horses (occasionally), cooking (occasionally), setting up pastures, carpentry/helping hand (building projects around the house, barn-building). splitting and stacking firewood (we have a splitter). *UPDATE At this time we are hoping to have one or two people join our team for the haying season, starting by mid July. This is a paid position and could lead to longer term work. No experience necessary. Please don't hesitate to contact me for details. Cheers all.

We are a family ranch in a remote area of British Columbia. Combined with my parents, we run a 700 head commercial cow/calf operation and have about 50 head of horses (give or take a few). We operate a trail riding outfit in the nearby mountains during July and August.
We start calving at the end of February, do a pile of range riding in May and June, head to the mountains in July and start haying by the beginning of August. We start rounding up our cattle in the fall and sell our calves at the end of October.

Our horses are gently started and then learn as they go on the ranch and in the mountains. The majority of them have never seen an arena. They are almost all out during the winter as we really don't ... more inside

We operate a small ranch situated in the Cariboo region of BC. Our extended family is nearby and family events and kids keep everyone involved.
We raise grassfed/finished beef on managed pastures using organic methods.(as yet uncertified). We also raise chickens and pigs for family use and maintain a large vegetable garden to produce healthy food for the family and some for market. Our interest in permaculture has initiated some nut tree planting and we also have made a start with blueberries and Haskap berries. Currently we are seeking helpers for later this month (May 2019) and for June. There will be some work with cattle, gardening, young pigs to care for, and the usual farm maintence like fence repairs etc.
Our lakeside log home offers comfortable rooms, laundry, internet use (for communication) and a piano. Helpers can canoe from our front yard and by June it will likely be warm enough for swimming.
Our semi wilderness setting is great for outdoor enthusiasts.

We are a young farming family who live in the best part of the Cariboo region of British Columbia. The Community of Horsefly is ideal for someone who loves the country life and enjoys the outdoors as there are lots of Hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls and wildlife.
We are looking for someone to help with taking care of our 3 easy going daughters and possibly farm work (if couples are interested). Our daughters are 7,6, and almost 3. We are looking for someone fun, outgoing, likes the quieter country life and hanging out with kids. We were hoping to find someone fluent in German and who could speak/teach German to our kids (and myself) as Steven (their Dad) is fluent. It would not be full time only when Steven and myself are busy doing farm work. We would even look at taking couples, or friends. please feel free to message me with any questions! :) We are located in the awesome community of Horsefly!
