Hi there! If you want to experience many different things, this may be the place for you! I have a small organic farm with over 500 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, as well as many other native plant species. I also have a Natural Foods Store and deli (We have lots of posts and photos on FB and IG). The store is located in a town in Iowa with a population of 10,000 in the winter and 100,000+ in the summer, because of all the seasonal residents and people who come to vacation at the lakes. The farm is located in a town in Minnesota, 33 miles from the store, with a population of about 40!

I would like to find 1-3 individuals, or a couple, who are willing and able to come here for an extended stay, if not the entire growing season, which is April – October. Shorter stays by additional people may be okay, but my main focus, and need, is to find people who will be here for most of this time frame, who can consistently and reliably help with growing things at ... more inside

We are a married couple with a young son learning to farm, focusing on following intuition and flow, living simply and inexpensively – and making a Living rather than merely money.

We live off the utility grid, using limited solar power, wood heat, outdoor propane shower, and a nice composting outhouse. We offer a vintage 1950s 2-bedroom mobile home, a 1970 RV, an insulated 8x16 ice fishing shack, or perhaps an 8x8 pallet fort shack as options for guests to sleep in.

We are looking for helpers to assist with harvesting, planting, weeding, mulching, building, etc in exchange for good food and a place to stay - as well as the experience of taking part in this experiment in alternative living and organic farming! It's a busy life but a wonderful one.

The farm is a mile from the beautiful Saint Croix River and just over an hour from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul in Minnesota. A neighbor often needs help with his grape vineyard and pays cash, so you could possib... more inside

The mission of our farm is to teach people how to be healthy through good nutrition, exercise, relationships, and a healthy lifestyle. We also provide healthy food for our customers and show them how to prepare it. We have a large garden and small CSA, we make maple syrup, we grow corn, soybeans, wheat, spelt and hay and we raise chickens for eggs, and grass-fed beef. We have a sawmill and make our own lumber. We have lots of events including maple sugaring open house, mushroom hunts, and fall festivals. We do other special events including hayrides, retreats, and weddings. We have finished our cabin at the lake and it is open for visitors and events. We love to have volunteers and some resist leaving because of the atmosphere. Send us an email. Hope to hear from you. My photos are mostly with former helpxers, I appear with the bull and pitchfork.

We also have a campground around our lake with four campsites. We are members of hipcamp that operates like an air B&B for campers. We... more inside

My husband and I are artists and gardeners, and we have a small milk goat herd. We grow as much of our own food as possible and want to expand to have a surplus of fresh food to offer to our community and the visitors we have. We moved to this piece of property in March 2019 and although we technically own the land, we consider ourselves stewards and very much want to offer a space for learning, retreat, and growth. We are currently looking for an individual or a couple who can help us build a small hoop house, establish garden beds, prune trees, plant more fruit trees and berries, and generally expand our growing potential. We are also learning about Korean Natural Farming and are looking for folks who are interested in learning with us! We can provide fresh, seasonal food, and cook communally or separately depending on guests preferences. At this time we hope to have 3-4 hours of help a day for a couple days up to a week at a time. We can offer a private living space for guests, a... more inside

We are a small rural farm only 1-1/2 miles from Lake Michigan. We have horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, waterfowl, cats, dogs and some exotics. We raise all of our own meat, eggs and dairy as well as 4,000 sq ft of organic gardens for vegetables, herbs and some fruit. We will be building an underground greenhouse, this year, and a root cellar and cheese aging room. There is ample opportunity to work with animals & in the garden. We can provide a furnished room, or a 30' RV, and all meals (cooked from scratch)! There is lots to learn and lots to do!

Homestay in Southern Indiana seeks friendly and compassionate travelers

UPDATED!!!

We had big plans for this piece of property but life is changing in profound ways and I am unsure what the future holds. The interests and activities in my profile are still true but unfortunately, I’m becoming more of a spectator than a participant.

I am being evaluated for MS and getting wimpy quicker than expected. I can’t tolerate the heat or the sun nor can I walk very far. Some days I can’t walk at all. Thee Dr says I am a “fall risk” and I have fallen enough this summer that I agree with them!

My lifetime goal / dream of opening an antique shop is gone and all this inventory needs to go to. It looks like time to move back to town sooner than we planned, to a house with no stairs.

So it is time to simplify, steer back to mindfulness and try find a nice balance so I can relax and concentrate. I need to re-energize my Reiki skills, find my center again, work on eating be... more inside
