Lakeside Arenosa, in the friendly fishing village of La Arenosa which is a one hour drive from Panama City and the Pacific beach resort towns of Gorgona and Coronado. Our 2 acre property has 1000 of water front in a serene setting, on a private swimming bay on one of the largest fresh water man made lakes in the world. La Arenosa is a primary departure point for fishing charters (some of the world's best freshwater fishing, including Peacock Bass, Tarpon, Oscars, Snook and Talapia).

At this time, and for the next 6-12 months we would like to find a couple, or individual to look after our place full time. The property is approx 2 acres and is located on Lago Gatun. There are 4 buildings on the property, and you would occupy a casita that is self contained with a large balcony and a beautiful view of the lake. There is a floating dock for swimming and fishing that is next to a bird sanctuary and 500 feet of lake front. Truly spectacular.

We have one medium size dog that we c... more inside

Hello!

We are a family-run small hotel / retreat center in Playa Grande, San Carlos. Playa Grande is a rural beach community on the western edge of the Panama Province in the republic of Panama.

We will need some help with customer support during our high season (Jan - April), and would love to have some travelers from HelpX help us! Jobs will range from helping waitstaff, reception and kitchen. We are looking for VERY patient, organized, and extroverted people who SMILE, a lot!

If you have previous experience in the service industry and would like to work at a small family run retreat center, please contact us.

In exchange we provide lodging in a room that will be shared with one other volunteer. The room has a fan, bathroom, and is very comfortable. It will be adjoining our house and is on the main grounds of the retreat center, so we do ask for people who are very respectful, quiet, and not here to party!

I am operating a bio, vegetarian and vegan restaurant and hotel that is connected to a bio finca which I intend to cultivate animals, tropical herbs and fruits using permaculture and aquaponics.

We are hoping to start a howler monkey sanctuary and we have been saving cats n dogs for sometime.

The hotel is close to one of the best beach surf breaks in Panama.

I need volunteers to help with the gardens, and animals and general cleaning and maintenance.

I warn volunteers that I am quiet literally in the middle of no where quite remote so do not expect much action.

Experience in permaculture or aquaponics a plus.

We could need some help in several areas; depending on your skills, your tasks could be in: reception/customer contact, renovations/maintenance, decorating, gardening, cleaning, cooking.
Your English should be fluent and it is ideal if you know at least some basic Spanish.

Ahoy!
I am restoring an old beautiful 65' steel ketch I intend to put in service to sail with youth in various projects in Panama and in the Caribbean to begin.

Sailing is being close to the Nature. It is the most ecological way to travel the world and besides its beauty it also sharpens the characters and has didactic impact on anybody, especially the youth.

Our sailing farm idea is to join together few principals:
- living of the grid and self sustainability by:
- traveling with wind power
- producing electricity from wind and Sun
- collecting rain water
- growing own healthy food on board

We are the proud owners of a gorgeous four hectare land lot directly on Panama’s Caribbean coastline. There is plenty of garden work and housekeeping. We have an incredible tropical garden connected to a lush mangrove with hundreds of different species growing. It’s a botanist’s dream come true. The icing on the cake is the visiting packs of Geoffrey’s Cappucin and howler monkeys, as well as toucans, and sloths. Two loving dogs also live on the property.

There is plenty of of work for everyone: From physical work cleaning the beach and working on the gardens, to painting and housekeeping.

The house overlooks the Caribbean Sea from a beautiful highpoint. All you have to do is take the steps to the beach!
