A Permaculture paradise in the making :)

We are a young project with the vision of spreading Permaculture and sustainable knowledge and techniques to the local community, while providing a space for like minded people to come together to create something positive. Besides Permaculture, we are into practicing Yoga and want to create a space that people can come to for the exchange of arts, music, and healing. We want to one day be an education hub and ecohostel that hosts retreats and teaches sustainable livelihood skills.

We are into healthy foods and lifestyle, growing our own meals, building our own furniture and creating a space we love - that sustains itselfs, spreads positive energy and grows its own medicine and superfoods.

Come join us to contribute your skills and love in exchange for food / accommodation / yoga / more love :) learn Swahili and the local ways, immerse yourself in the crystal blue waters of Kizim... more inside

Our camp site is 10km from Iringa in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. is known for its beautiful setting and home to the Iringa Swahili School. The camp site supports local village members with employment, but would like to extend its work in accommodating volunteers to set up groups for high risk members of the village e.g lunch clubs for pregnant women, activities for disabled children, employment opportunities for single parents.
Volunteers will be asked to take one English lesson with the camp staff in return for free swahili classes. Accommodation is in a 2 bed Banda with hot water showers and western toilets. Staff are supplied with basic African meals and there are facilities to cook your own meals. There is also the opportunity to work on a sister project based in Iringa Town, working at a local Secondary School running art activities , this has its own accommodation . Most volunteers combine the two projectsWe prefer volunteers for a minimum of 3 weeks-3 months- check... more inside
