Note: We are not able to have anyone stay now until February 2020.

We are new to farming and have purchased a place in need of some work to bring it back to life. The pictures show why we fell in love with it. They were taken at the peak of summer and after some aesthetic work was done. We are now focusing on maintenance and upgrading some of the fundamentals.

We are a family of four. Our boys are 18 and on the autistic spectrum. They help out with some tasks given guidance. There is mobile phone reception on Spark and we will provide internet through WiFi.

The cabin where you’ll stay is a simple single unit with a double bed and couch. There is a kitchenette and full bathroom. The cabin is separate from the house and above ground so access is by stairs only.

Here is a list of tasks that we can work on. But there are other items that may come up and will get prioritized if necessary.

Gardening, fencing, weed eradication, livestock management, driveway repairs, fire ... more inside

Under our new badge of Sandspit Lodge, a smaller property than Coatesville, with four BnB rooms available within the main house. This 1 1/2 acre property contains 40 productive J5 and Koroneiki olive trees, some Grosso French lavender and Pacific Blue English lavender, ex Coatesville, as well as a lovely 3-tier orchard and loads of citrus trees.

The views over the Sandspit Harbour are simply stunning!

We are seeking one Helper to assist with the B&B activities and gardening over the winter season which is promising to be as busy as usual.

We are seeking the help of strong young Help-Xers now! Prefer someone who knows how to iron sheets!

Please be aware that there are smokers in our household, so if you have a strong aversion to smoking, please do not apply!

We have a 26 H small farm 7 minutes drive from Silverdale which is approx 30 minutes north of Auckland. We graze beef cattle and sheep. The sheep are breed for handcraft wool comprising 2 breeds Polwarth and Romney.
My husband is retired and works on the farm, I am a part time primary school teacher at a local school. One of our sons lives at home and constructs wood-fired ovens on the farm.We have space for 1 or 2 persons and would love to have guests to stay in return for some help around the farm. The outside work could comprise tree planting, farm maintenance, gardening, weed control and building maintenance. If necessary because of the weather there are some inside jobs-- seedling transplanting, house cleaning etc. We are an easy going family We prefer people who eat most things, as we find having to cater for vegetarians etc to be disruptive to grocery/meal planning. We would treat you as part of the family and not as unpaid labour

A well loved place by previous HelpXers!

In particular, we are looking for some HelpXers to stay with us in November or December 2019.

An old tennis court, swimming pool, two friendly pigs, the coolest donkey and three lovely goats...are the stand out features of this idyllic 7 acre property 25min from central Auckland.

We are a friendly couple in our mid thirties and have a two 1/2 year old son and an eleven month old daughter.

It's not super demanding work that we are needing done - pruning, weeding, painting and helping out with dinner preparations would be the main tasks. Our expectations would be four hours per day per person - however we are flexible, (i.e. work a full day in return for the next day off).

In return we can offer a room, three meals (help yourself to lunch and breakfast and together we can cook a delicious dinner.) Am happy to work in with whatever dietary requirements you may have. We may also be able to offer the use of a car, although this n... more inside

The jungle has received a huge amount of wonderful helper care and is feeling SO GOOD.We are in the summer period when heaps of maintenance is needed, so now we need those special helpers which we have been so lucky to have so far.Do read the REVIEWS about us. The vegetable garden and hedges needs some help too, to give the results that only friendly helpx hands can create. If you would like to help its not too difficult just letting our jungle breathe again If you like beaches, parks and the odd volcano then this little place might be the place for you.
