We are looking for a baker to help out four hours a day for the month of February 2018.

We are a three generational family [3 adults, 2 children] living close the to Tauranga CBD and who work long hours in our sourdough bread business. This includes going to farmers markets on the weekend.

We offer accommodation and meals in exchange for 4 hours daily work including handywork, basic household chores such as cleaning, painting, gardening and making the occasional meal. We provide wholesome, mainly organic foods and delicious slow fermented sourdough breads. We are unable to offer transport or be super friendly hosts as we are always pretty tired at the end of the day.

Our home is a non-smoking house.
Email is the best point of contact for us.

We live 15 - 20 minutes out of Rotorua on a small life style block. We have three children aged 6,8 and 10 along with Grace our gorgeous black labrador, a piglet and some cows. We would love some help around the house either in the garden, outside maintenance or in the kitchen or with the children. Tom works full time in Rotorua and I work part time. We love meeting people from all over the world and sharing our home with different people. We have a bedroom and bathroom separate from the house for our guests.

I live with my 11 year old daughter in Omokoroa which is a beautiful peninsula in the Tauranga harbour 20 minutes north of Tauranga city. I am a 25 minute drive from Mt Maunganui and Waihi beaches and an hour from Rotorua and the Coromandel Peninsula.

I need a hand with odd jobs, inside and outside, and definitely some help with technology ie mobile phones, transferring video to switch drive, printer problem etc. I also have some home maintenance jobs coming up and need someone to cut hedges, clean exterior of my brick home etc.

I traveled for six years when I was younger and would like to pay forward the hospitality I found overseas. I have had quite a few helpxers and love meeting travellers. We are a laid-back family in lots of respects but would like people who are tidy and motivated.

I am also open to someone looking for paid accommodation during the avocado/kiwifruit seasons. The area we live in is close to lot of packhouses and orchards.

Thanks

Jodie and Viarni

Hi Helpers:) We have a deer farm in a lovely country area half way between Rotorua and Taupo, in the middle of the North Island. We can show you around the farm, but I can't promise work directly on the farm, however there is never a shortage projects on the go, and I'd love some help around the section/garden/outdoors. We can find jobs which suit your interests and skills. Possibly some marketing, and design advice/work if it fits. We can be flexible with work hours. We have 3 children all in early 20's and no longer living at home, one is travelling the world and we too have done some travelling this year. Personally I am interested in and study holistic health, and we like watching rugby too.
We are lucky to have a comfy home, with a tennis court and spa.One or two bedrooms are available for guests.

We have lots of wonderful tourist attractions and walks within 10 - 40 mins drive from home, and I would be happy to help arrange time to visit these. Own transport is necessary ... more inside

Kia ora! Our place is located between Tauranga and Rotorua, about 20 mins south of Tauranga. 25 mins to Mauao (Mt Maunganui)and 35 minutes to Rotorua. Small rural property with organic vege garden, chickens, orchard. Work mostly gardening, trees and bits and pieces. Peaceful and quiet. Lesbian, gay, child and vegetarian friendly. Accommodation is a comfortable tidy sleepout with queen bed. If you want to look around the area its a good place to base yourself, a vehicle is an advantage but we can pick up from Tauranga. Enjoy your travels!

We live 12 kms from the city of Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty. The area has beautiful beaches, lots of surfing, hang gliding, sailing and swimming. Its a popular holiday area in the summer but where we live is rural and quiet.
We have a spray free avocado orchard roughly 70 trees. We would welcome visitors who can lend a hand at jobs such as log splitting, weeding, mowing, general maintenance. We have bicycles to spare and are happy to help with transport also.
We can offer you a double room in our house and your own bathroom and all meals in exchange for 4-5 hours work a day. 5 days work, 2 days off but we are flexible. You are welcome to socialise with us but we will also respect your privacy.
My husband and I have 3 adult children , one daughter still lives at home 3 days a week. I am a retired teacher and my husband works 3 days a week but is due to retire next year. We have a small dog and keep free range chickens for their eggs.
I can cater for vegan and vegetarians.

We would love for some more helpers to come and stay. We're flexible on the length of stay, we do ask for 4 hrs help during the day and help with the dishes after dinner in the evening. The work will be general tasks around the home and garden, we try to vary it during your stay so nothing becomes TOO mundane. If you have a specific skill then we are keen to utilise that so do contact us with what you may be able to offer.

We are a family of 6! We have a lifestyle block on which we try to support ourselves as much as we can! We produce our own power from a hydro unit in the river and get water from the river via a ram pump! Both interesting setups! We have our own bees, milking cows (all 3 currently in calf so not being milked at present) chickens and pigs (actually new piglets arriving soon but no pigs at this minute). We have vege gardens and establishing orchards. It's a good life, it truly is! Beautiful spot to enjoy nature.

We have 2 dogs that are family dogs and als... more inside

We love having helpx helpers stay with us. Our experiences have been great so far and the different cultures are wonderful for our children. We live in our warm and sunny residential home with surrounding gardens. We have 4 kids ranging from 2 to 9, and a young boxer dog too. Our helper will have their own private room with a single bed. We are happy to provide all meals, accommodation and wi-fi in exchange for help with housework, cooking and cleaning, playing with the children and some babysitting. We need helpers who are confident and capable with housework as well as friendly and warm towards children. Dahna is a full-time mum and Ben is an Engineering Geologist. We are close to the bus stop into the city.
