We are Russell and Yvonne. We both work full time, Russell owns a bike shop and runs mountain bike tours, I am a painter and gardener.

We own a little perma-culture based farm on which we try to be as self-sufficient as possible.

Exciting new projects:
building a new woodshed, chicken-raising shed and feed shed.
Cutting firewood, planting trees, raising chicks, growing vegetables.

Vacancies:
From August 2019.
Our current helper is starting on a new adventure of her own after being with us for eight months on our farm. She will be greatly missed. This opens an opportunity for the right person to come on our farm either as share farming or as med-long term helper.
We are looking for ongoing help, 1-2 weekends per month and otherwise mostly Tuesday-Saturday

To stay at our farm you need a car as there is no public transport.

We are a big happy family and everyone pitches in to keep the farm going, keep projects on track and most importantly keep all the animals h... more inside

I need a major tidy up of our yards. The front needs some timber slabs sorted, sold and stacked and a reorganisation. The back needs the same.
After this there are a host of fiddly things including finishing the kitchen - under sink cabinets..., sorting the aquaponic systems in the back, getting better at making heat pellets, perhaps milling some timber, organising some bees.... There is also some cleaning and sorting rooms for airbnb guests.

You can see my profile for more details or watch this video of us and our place. Basically I have a house where we host lots of folk and grow lots of food. We have had some fabulous helpers from this site who have helped with lots of great super projects. Sing out if you want to come and play. Paul

If you write to us that you advise when you might want to come, how long you might want to stay and if you want to work 2 hours for accom only or four for accom and meals.

We also play on airbnb and the site asks for rules for our... more inside

Hi we have 2 scool aged kids which think they are dragons and quite often swing from the rafters trying to fly . We are both film makers /photographers and Miguel is a musician Our house is located in Cottlesbridge. We are surrounded by kangaroos, echidnas and kookaburras and ringtail possums. Ten minute drive to the train station. We are also near some beautiful swimming spots We are all really relaxed and definitely not strict about hours with help we want you to enjoy your stay there is a spare room or a loft that is also a lovely space to sleep with the coonara fire underneath. Quite often my people have come on jobs with me to give them a different perspective of work life in Australia and those experiences have been invaluable as the work is very interesting at times. I mainly need help with cleaning up and that is organizing cupboards and clothes.
