There is also an old established garden in need of renovation. There are lots of old established trees around the property. There is abundant birdlife and koalas, wallabies and echidnas can be seen from time to time. I need help with gardening, clearing blackberry, establishing new garden areas, preserving produce, firewood and general maintenance eg painting, repairing fences and removing old fences etc. There is sometimes some sheepwork.
There is a good variety of tasks depending on the season and skills of the helpers.Work hours will vary depending on the task.

Hi all!

Due to a no show, we need some people (1-2) to help mainly cut and chop wood (splitter available) weed, wippersnip, mulch, plant the veggie garden, and do stuff around the house. Essentially- a clean up after winter, and prepare for the next one :-)
Of course as always there is horse, pig care, and play with our 5 dogs.
We are always in need of people who love cooking and eating, being down to earth, love children (over 13) are nice, easy going, love to play on the trampoline, throwing sticks, swimming, make a great cocktail, etc.

You will learn a LOT of new skills.
because of the work you need workable english.

Sleep etc will be in our guesthouse, with its own living-room and tv and 3 bedrooms ( all of a very high standard- it is also rented out on airbnb), all daily meals will be eaten together in our warm family of 5, - but on weekends (fri-sat) the idea is you cook for yourself, (although everything can be talked about!) - and of course we prov... more inside

Spring is in the air! The birds are nesting, the flowers are out and the weather is warming up.

Our family (with three children aged 17, 14 and 9) is on the look out for some lovely new helpers to join us for a spring sort and clean.

Come and visit beautiful Beechworth, an historic gold mining town near the border of Victoria and NSW. There are great cycle paths, spectacular sunsets and lovely spots to explore. We have a spare bike so you can get around independently.

Our home is on 10 peaceful acres just 3km from town. We have 3 cats, a dog, 2 horses and lots of chickens. The horses are shedding their winter fur and would love a brush, but they are not available for riding.

Accomodation while you stay with us is a tidy caravan, close to the house so you can have privacy but still be involved in the family.

We prefer helpx guests to stay for approximately one week. We love longer stays, but need to meet you first.

We make all our meals from whole foods and e... more inside

I have a small Vegan B&B and cooking school on 20 acres in the beautiful Yarra Valley which is home to a number of rescue animals and frequent human guests.

I mainly require assistance in cleaning and other domestic duties and also to assist me with food preparation. There is always work to be done outside also, maintaining the appearance of the garden and property.

Experience in cleaning to a high standard and some kitchen skill is necessary and other skills like carpentry, chain sawing, weeding, maintaining orchards and veggie gardens, mowing on a ride on, general farm and outdoor clean ups and maintenance would be great!

And also experience with Mac computers, social media, video and general office type work would be most welcomed too.

Work of 5 hours a day x 5 days a week or 4 hours a day x 6 days a week in exchange for board and vegan meals.

Accomodation is a small but clean and private room near the house and is suitable for a single or a couple. Your b... more inside

Jenny and Quentin Young are hosts providing charming self-contained accommodation, and light farm work in the hundred year old organic apple orchard. Idealyllic valley setting.

We are an English speaking married couple who have been married for 47 years and have retired in sunny Mallacoota.
The photos below are the view from our front veranda. We have spectacular sunrises in the mornings.
We live in a neat and tidy home overlooking the beautiful Mallacoota lake. With the lake and ocean so close you can swim, surf, fish, take a slow walk or a longer hike. Local sports include bowls, golf, badminton, soccer, tennis and cricket.
Our home is within walking distance to town. Mallacoota is right within the Croajingalong National park, is on the east coast of Victoria and half way between Sydney and Melbourne. There is public transport between Melbourne and Batemans Bay and we are on this route. If you get off the main bus route at Genoa there is a local Mallacoota bus which will meet you there on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays (at 9.00am coming from Batemans bay and 2.30pm from Melbourne) and this will bring you to our town bus stop where we will mee... more inside

Hi all! We live on a classic 'Australian bush'property on Phillip Island, about 2 minutes away from amazing beaches and about 6 into the main town (Cowes). A friend mentioned HelpX to me, asking if I could do with some help with this house and property, I hadn't even thought of something like this before and ABSOLUTELY yes I'd love some help! I have 5 gorgeous-kooky-fun loving kids (15, 13, 10, 8 and 3)a big house, nice chunk of land and I am 1 woman. UPDATE. We donít currently have a bed or room but we have plenty of space for camping with use of the bathroom and kitchen facilities.
We are always going here and there, we are active and out and about. Our helper would be welcome to become a part of our family, hang with us, go surfing. Youíre welcome to borrow surf boards and give it a go but you would have to hire a wetsuit from the local surf shop), hiking, exploring. My kids would enjoy the cultural exchange and diversity.
Work wise, I would love and appreciate help with my o... more inside

Raymond Island is a great place to spend time in Spring. 2000sq metre property set in natural bushland on a small Island in the Gippsland Lakes system. There are Koalas, Kangaroos, Echidnas, Kookaburras and many other birds. Fishing is great. We have a bedroom in our home that would be private for you. We are a retired couple and in return for accommodation we would like 4 hours per day help with the garden and general maintenance around the house. We need people with cooking, handyman and gardening skills. Raymond Island is about 4 hours travel time east of Melbourne by public transport. There is local transport available.

We have a holiday home overlooking Willson's Prom in South Gippsland. We are looking for help to maintain our property and return the bushland area of the property to its natural state for the local fauna and flora. The project we are working on at the moment is clearing vines and introduced weeds and replacing them with native plants. Since the property is on a steep hill it can be physically challenging work. The upside is the views are amazing.

The property is 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne CBD and there is a bus from the CBD which takes around 3 hours. We can collect you from Fish Creek which is a 10 minute drive away.

We are also about 10 minutes drive to Sandy Point. A great beach for both swimming and surfing. Pete is a keen surfer and would be happy to head you in the right direction if you are keen to try the local surf. If the surf is no good you would be welcome to join us for a walk on the beach with our dogs.

We would love to share our home and local area wit... more inside

A lovely home atmosphere. Right now I have no space. I will be looking around May next year. Own room, double bed and couch. I have a large standard male black poodle who loves everyone. You must love dogs. The work here is general garden maintenance, pruning and lawn mowing, weeding, and some cleaning in the home. No more than a couple of hours per day, or 4 every other and go off for the day. If a couple, then please contribute to your food. Special diets not catered for. We do the shopping together. I love to have conversations and hear about where you are from. I can help you improve your English, but I need you to be able to speak enough for us to understand. So now I need either a single guy or a couple to help me. My home is on the Mornington Peninsula within walking distance to beach. 1 hour by train from Melbourne city. I love to show my helpers around this peninsula, so I usually take a day trip to show you around as well. Lots of photo opportunities for yo... more inside
