I live in a pretty bungalow with a large garden plot, small orchard and also a field where I have a small campsite, abput 7acres in total. I am within walking distance from the railway station on the main London - Exeter line within a village location (with buses). There are plenty of walking and cycling routes surrounding but we are just on the edge of the Yeovil town centre (two miles) so not completely cut off from civilisation.

Looking for help mainly in and around the very large garden and drive, mainly clearing, fencing and repairs if possible. There is always an endless list of things to do! I have a pool that helpers can have access to and a comfortable room to stay with wifi and TV. I have two dogs and small ponies that I drive on a regular basis. Perhaps up to a week stay at a time would suit and perhaps a couple of people travelling together who are used to outdoors work.

Hi, salut, ciao, hola My name is Alastair and I am looking for help with my wife Frances who has been afflicted with early onset dementia. This has left her with limited and diminishing mobility and communication ability. We live in suburban S.E. London and require assistance with maintenance of house and garden.Assistance can be direct e.g. gardening or indirect I.e. sitting with Frances while I garden.
Work
To do outside
Clear ivy, brambles, holly. Cut gas, bushes, etc
Internally
Clearance of accumulated stuff and redecorating from rooms particularly upstairs which has been a bit of a tipping ground since we are effectively living on ground floor only.
Hours worked can be flexible to suit weather and allow helpers to visit London attractions.

Accommodation
This could be in single or double rooms depending on the progress of clearance and decoration.

Location
House is less than 10 minutes walk from nearest overground rail station. Local buses to Bromley and Croydo... more inside

We are a couple from Cornwall who are helping to run the family's small holding. We are fun loving, hard working individuals who are enjoying implementing Permaculture designed buildings, allotment, polytunnel, animal areas, forest garden and ponds. We have a large variety of projects on the go from building sheds to 12v solar/wind systems and rocket mass heaters to apple tree guilds. We are interested in planting edible/medicinal plants and already have some on the go ready to harvest for tintures! Our work varies between building, gardening, animals and holiday lets. Exciting :)
Nick normally works full-time at home finishing and experimenting with new ideas whilst Rosie works full-time as a primary school teacher.
Nicks family also live at home, so there's always lots going on and we often eat communally :)

Accommodation is in a cosy caravan with a beautiful view, surrounded by trees.
Our key aim is to put projects in place and then educate about the many benefits of l... more inside

***We have a vacancy from June 27th to July 17th 2018***

We are a family of three - Ricardo from Cuba, Katherine from Ireland and our daughter, aged 5 (born in England). Ricardo is a physics lecturer and I am a sociologist, both working in universities.

We moved into our Victorian house on the outskirts of London around three years ago. We have had some wonderful helpers helping us restore and decorate the house in that time.

We would welcome visitors who are handy with a paintbrush or any other DIY, carpentry, plumbing etc skills! We also have a nice garden which badly needs some attention.

We are a friendly bilingual house and have had really wonderful experiences with helpx which we cherish. Our house is located less than five minutes from the train station from where you can catch a train to London city centre (Paddington - takes around 20 mins). Trains also go from our local station to Oxford, Reading and Windsor (along with other places!). We live on the border ... more inside

We run a campsite, we have lots of gardening and maintenance to do to keep things nice for the campers. And we need to clean the house, caravans and outside loos. We also have people who rent rooms from us long term and people who rent rooms for shorter periods of time online. So its fun here with lots of new people coming and going.
You will stay in a caravan which you may have to share with one other person.
The house is situated in the heart of Robin Hood country in Nottinghamhire, 25 minutes walk from town in the beautiful countryside. We are friendly, laid back folks and would love some help with our dream project.
The photos show: The house, the field we use for camping, the veg patch which produces lots of great veg for us to eat and the outbuildings we need to renovate.

We would like to hear from prospective helpers who would like to stay with us in 2018.
Your enthusiastic HelpXer input is needed to help bring back 5 hectares of beautiful south east facing down land in East Sussex back in to use after being neglected for many years. Lots of chopping, cutting, mowing and strimming. Chain saw skills an advantage. The new fencing is complete, and 4 lovely Herdwick sheep have arrived to help with the grazing. I am currently researching the possibility of growing vines on half of the south facing field, and am preparing for a pop up campsite next season The veg garden is up and running thanks to Michael and our helpers last year, and needs planting, weeding and maintaining to keep up supplies of lovely veg. to eat. The land is about 1.5 km from the house and is an easy cycle or pleasant walk through the fields via a footpath. We would also like help with DIY and other jobs at our home which is in need of some TLC.
