Hi, we have helpers in place for the summer, October is a possibility. Help needed would be in the garden, straw bale roundhouse repairs (which our daughter Jodi 39 lives in) and fruit picking. Our village is rural and is approx. 2 miles from the coast. Our nearest town is Louth. Our previous helpers reviews will give you some idea about who we are. We are experienced hosts, long time 'greens' and in exchange for your help we hopefully offer you a happy, comfortable stay here in Lincolnshire. Hope to hear from you soon.

We are based in a Grade II* Romantic Gothic mansion located just south of the English Lake District. It is situated in 70 acres of woodland and gardens on the shores of Morecambe Bay. It provides a quiet and reflective environment for a meaningful break.

The help required is varied and might include cooking, helping in the garden, household, doing office tasks, decorating etc. We also have various building projects at present that you could get involved in. We are always interested to hear about any specific skills you may be able to offer. Although the work is not always strenuous you will need to be reasonably fit and active to come on a volunteering visit.

In the Kadampa Art Studio there is scope to volunteer in the Finishing Team, assisting with sanding and filling etc. of Statues and Temple Adornments bound for destinations around the world. Short and longterm voluntary visits are available.

Your weekends are free time so an ideal time to travel into the Lakes, Conist... more inside

URGENT! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP HAND WEED OUR GARDEN. Any time between 22nd June - 1st July.

Hello, thank you for looking at our listing.

We are Cathy (40), John (38) and Leo who is 7 years old and home-educated. We live in a beautiful little cottage slap bang in the middle of a nature reserve.

We like to have 2 helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take 2 single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with another helper (who we will ensure is the same sex and similar age to you.)

We do not take helpers without seeing pictures, so if you do not have photos on your profile, please let us know your Facebook page or other.

Sleeping accommodation will most likely be a small (landed) boat in the garden, but with full access to the house 24 hours a day.

We have a big kitchen, sitting room (with X-box, Wii and DVDs) and big garden as well as of course plenty of amazing countryside so you are definite... more inside

Sept & October. We are looking for an open-minded, relaxed and efficient person to come and help in a B&B and family household. This is mostly domestic work in the kitchen (the hub of the house which needs constant tidying and cleaning!) also providing back-up cleaning in the B&B, sometimes meeting and greeting, waitressing where required.

There is plenty of opportunity to improve your English with lots of conversation in the house on a variety of subjects.

Flexibility and positivity key to your enjoyment here! I can put you in touch with some previous helpers so you can get an idea of what it's like. Must be happy in the countryside and to self-entertain as this is a rural location - but there is always something to do. Let me know if you have any questions!

I am a retired English teacher with an interest in all things organic. I live with my husband Richard who is a computer manager, and our newest family member, a rather naughty little puppy.
We have built a straw bale house in our garden, We keep bees and run a Community Orchard. We are looking for a native Spanish speaker with a good accent to speak Spanish to our grandchildren, who live down the road from me. They are 3 and 5 years old.
We will probably now not need any help until the Spring, February at the earliest. Then we have decking to power wash and re-paint, sails to put in place, some painting - both external and internal - and a brick walll to build.
Plus the normal garden, house and child care work.
In return I will help the volunteer to improve their English, and you have a nice bedroom and bathroom and good food which is mainly vegetarian.
We have an internationally renowned Art Gallery in Wakefield, a wonderful Sculpture Park, and the University city of Le... more inside

Currently have space for volunteers as follows:
* 1-4 volunteers, most of the work will be helping clean the house and look after the cats and chickens and gardens

We are at the early stages of restoring an old, large and characterful building, parts of which date to the 14th Century, with a walled garden, orchard and vegetable patch. We`ll be creating a small yoga studio, accommodation rooms and community spaces. In the medium to long term we hope the site will host retreats and small scale events.

We need help with all kinds of work, mainly:
* helping with chores, keeping the house clean and tidy
* looking after the greenhouse and veg patch
* taking care of the chickens and cats
* documenting the project and taking photos

If you already have skills you might be able to help out with:

We need someone to stay here whilst we get away for a holiday. There are only a few daily jobs:
Two cats need fed.
5 hens need to be cared for.
The ewes and lambs in the fields need daily inspection.
We grow vegetables in a poly tunnel which will need watering.
You are not expected to deal with any emergencies, just get help from friends and family who live nearby. The rest of your time can be spent sight seeing in this area. There are often horse owners about looking after their horses. Also there is a bus service to Lanark past.

Before we leave we will ensure you are happy and competent to do these few tasks. We may also need some help with a variety of tasks on the farm whilst we are here.

The farm is also a livery yard. But no help should be needed with the horses. I (Faye) have my own horses so there could be an opportunity to ride horses.

We are offering accommodation and meals in exchange for your help. The offer would suit someone who can be flexible, enjoy ... more inside

We are a free range, semi self sufficient dairy farm, milking cows once a day on a rotary parlour.
We are looking for people to come and share our home, join in with family meals and our family life. In return we would like some help with milking most mornings so some experience would be very useful but not essential.
There is an old tractor that has been half way restored so if you enjoy tinkering with ancient mechanics this could be for you!
We also need help in the garden. There is a large vegetable garden which is sadly neglected and needs some TLC to get it back to being a productive organic vegetable source for the house.
Keeping the farm clean and tidy and helping move cows from field to field. About 4 hours help a day.
We are very remote and rural, the nearest shop is 5 miles away. There is a great country pub 3 miles away. We are an hour's drive from the North Devon coast with great surfing.
Over the last 10 years we have lots of Aussies and Kiwis stay with us ... more inside

Free self catering accommodation on Isle of Skye in return for help in garden and croft.

18 June -14 July

Hello folks.

For the last two years I have been building a load bearing strawbale bothy, but between working fulltime and building the bothy my dog, garden and croft have been badly neglected. The strawbale bothy is nearly finished, but I don't want to leave my garden and croft to deteriorate any further.

I'm looking for folks who are comfortable working outdoors, getting muddy, maybe scratched by brambles and hopefully know a wee bit about horticulture to help rescue the garden and croft.

So here's the deal:

I will be moving out of my two bedroom traditional stone built croft house and into the bothy so that I can finish it in the evenings after work and at weekends.

This leaves my house available for helpexers. There are two double bedrooms so it would ideally suit couples or friends happy to share a bed! This will be a different experience from the las... more inside
