I would love help with my long narrow garden which opens onto another larger area of land where I have a polytunnel and raised beds. I have 4 very shy cats who sleep in the conservatory/studio. I am a non-smoking vegetarian/vegan and love preparing food, so you would be well fed - all meatless meals :-)
I have only just signed up on Helpx so for now I can't think of anything else you might want to know. Please contact me if you have any questions and are interested in a week or so in Killyleagh - and see some of this area on the shores of Strangford Lough.

WE ARE NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2018, and welcome enquiries for accommodation from now onward.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and request for help. I am fortunate to live in a beautiful house in the south east of Ireland about 140 kilometers from Dublin and 3 kilometers from the small town of Graig-na-Managh, Co Kilkenny which has daily buses to Kilkenny city. I live on a natural 15 hectares (35 acres) which include 7 hectares (20 acres) of native woodland with pathways and a waterfall. I am involved in several different projects and am looking forward to welcoming you to my home and getting some help around here. I am hoping to develop a social enterprise around a sustainable community based on the land here - see our facebook link above for more details.

I am seeking some help from around October 2018 through to December. I will make the work varied and interesting for you.

Firstly, you would live in a spare room in my house which I restored about 20 years ago. You would have your own room and share the rest of the house. I would provide home cook... more inside

A developing residential arts centre that needs a variety of skills in volunteers to help become a reality. We are doing a lot of stone building, landscaping and there are always things to do in the garden. Anyone with carpentry skills, especially with a creative eye, is very welcome. Its lively here sometimes, especially in the summer months, I have WWOOFers as well as SERVAS visitors and a variety of friends constantly coming and going. Everybody is included as part of the family, visitors mainly stay in caravans and have a small converted shed as a relaxation room/kitchen etc. There is quite a good music scene locally, and at home at times! We sometimes all eat together, sometimes helpers cook for themselves. All the food I prepare is vegetarian, but I'm told its very good!
Specifically right now I am looking for a ‘House Elf’ – if they came along with a carpenter that would be great! But no slavery – you get given a pair of socks on arrival! ?
