Located 2 hours inland from the Gold Coast in the Northern Rivers region of Australia, high in the misty mountains of the southern hemispheres largest volcanic structure (the Wollumbin volcano) we operate out of a former Buddhist Retreat Centre - a historic environment of natural, cultural, and spiritual significance.

This revered place is surrounded by ancient subtropical rainforest with expansive mountain views, fresh water and iconic wildlife.

Our vision is to apply principals of holistic living and integrative design with a core focus of ecological and cultural stewardship, with activities including: Retreat hosting, residential programs, workshops, training programs, micro-enterprise initiatives and transformational events.

We are a non-profit retreat centre run by a small team who are boot-strapping the project in start-up phase.

We are currently warming up for a season of retreat hosting and we need help with cleaning and clearing around the dormitories, dining ... more inside

Rural property (non-commercial) in forested mountainous region, in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, close to a lovely creek for summer cooling off and the famous (or infamous!) Lunatic Hotel at Drake Village. Goats later when there is a fence! Projects always vary, depending on visitors skills, experience and comfort levels and of course the weather!
Would like to construct using mud-brick techniques eg a cob oven and firepits, construct a mud brick / sandbag construction wall, fix the laundry, paint the grey water tank, the vegetable garden always needs attention, fruit trees planted and edible food forests established, current projects include completing the `Eco-Lodge` (internal lining needs finishing ) and building a rocket stove powered hot room/sweat lodge near the spot for the yurt (one ... more inside

Our home "Restdown" is an organic beef cattle farm, vineyard and winery. We grow approximately 30 tonnes of grapes per year to sell, and we process about 5 tonnes in our own winery, making the wine, bottling, labelling, marketing and selling it ourselves.

We are looking for helpers from mid to late October for 1 to 3 weeks, to help with maintenance in the vineyard, some gardening work, perhaps some bottling, painting around the house and day to day chores.
This experience would suit people who are happy working outside. We provide all food and accommodation in your own comfortable bedroom. You can learn a lot here, about raising and caring for animals and plants, living on an Australian farm and vineyard maintenance. Jo is our winemaker and is happy to share her knowledge and as an ex-teacher she is able to help people learn on the job as well as help people learning english. She speaks a little french, so can help translate if your english isn't fantastic.

Welcome travellers, we have been previous WWoofers and HelpXers ourselves and now are located approx halfway between Sydney & Brisbane & 30 mins west of Kempsey. The Garlic Farmacy would like helpers to assist us with the transformation and nurture the farm that was purchased in 2014. Garlic generally grows from April to December generally so planting and reaping is before, during and after these times. Potatoes are a new crop being planted in Spring 2018.

We are always preparing more garden beds, continuing to remove weeds, plant and nurture more plants in the orchard, plant vegetables, build and repair fences, the outbuildings, the water supply, the fallen trees, and so much more. We often plant using the moon cycles and the 2014-2017 garlic plantings were done in a variety of garden bed styles.

Over 40 acres of Australian bush property to wander through with spectacular views to the mountains and surrounding valley. A small creek may have water holes sometimes. We have clo... more inside
