Are you looking for a sabbatical? Come and stay in our beautiful home in Mount Evelyn which is in the centre of the Yarra Valley and the Dandenongs regions & less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD. I share the home with my two children aged 8 & 13. I am a single mother and have the children at home with me 60% of the time.
In return I will require assistance with cleaning & laundry duties and gardening and any heavy lifting (such as shopping) as I will be recovering from an operation. I will also need help cleaning the one room B&B which is located underneath the property.
Additionally, you will be required to do a little driving so it's essential you have a license to drive in Australia.
You will have plenty of freedom to do sightseeing and I will assist you with this. There is public transport nearby but sometimes you may be able to use my car.
Mountain bike available- it's a wonderful area for bike riding so if you're into fitness and cycling this will suit you well.

Not currently seeking helpers unless they are skilled and/or have experience in renovating house.

Ideally we are looking for a couple or two friends who are happy to share a bed, but we will also welcome an individual if they are the right fit.

Helpers are needed - 4 hours per day, with 1 day free for each 5 days worked. We are also happy for you to configure your hours to allow extra days off if you'd rather.

We have bought a new house and are renovating it! So we need all kinds of help, from demolition to painting, timber work, general yard work and gardening. Any skills or experience in renovating is an absolute bonus! If you are keen to learn we can teach you what needs to be done.
This house is a 5min drive from where we are currently living, so we will drive you to and from the worksite each day, or you can walk or use your own transport if you’d prefer.
Please be in contact if this is of interest to you.

We start all helpers on a 1 week maximum stay, during th... more inside

We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we hav... more inside

Our farm is located at Merton in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges in North-East Victoria about 50 minutes drive from the snowfields of Mt Buller.
Merton is a small farming community with the tourist town of Mansfield about 30 minutes away by car. Three other country towns Alexandra, Yea and Euroa are a similar distance. Melbourne is just under two hours drive away. The area is extremely pretty with farms scattered among the rolling hills and the valleys. Merton village is very small with a few houses, an old church, one general store and a public recreation area that includes tennis courts.
Our farm offers a true piece of Australian rural life with more than 330 hectares where we breed Angus cattle and have an assortment of chickens, two dogs and a cat and our cows have calves at foot.
We also share the farm with numerous kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats, parrots and the occasional koala.
We would prefer to have a couple. As payment for your work we are offeri... more inside

Hi,

We are a family of 4, two parents in our mid 30's (Shay and Aaron) with two wonderful children, 2.5 year old Ella and 5 year old Elijah.

We are looking for a helper to repair our wooden fence and to build an internal wall. Prior experience as a cabinet maker or carpenter would be beneficial.

Our house is a large family home where you will have your own room and dedicated bathroom. A 35 minute train ride into Melbourne CBD or enjoy the local shops, cafes and a nature reserve.

We are trying to live as sustainably as we can. We practice the basic principles of permaculture and zero waste on our small suburban block.

Please email or msg for availability.
