We are a family of 3, Michael, Heather and 15 year old Eloise. Heather goes to work Monday - Friday and Eloise is at School whilst Michael manages the property and works part time.

We really enjoy hosting travellers from around the world and appreciate the help we get in managing our property whilst learning about diverse lives and culture.

Our property is located one hour from Melbourne and sits atop a pristine Mountain 10 minutes from Healesville. The world class Healesville sanctuary and the many Yarra Valley renowned wineries are a short drive away. Healesville is abuzz with tourists and town folk who enjoy the coffee, markets and art space that is central to who we are.

Our property is surrounded by cool climate Mountain Ash forest. There is plentiful wildlife, including, lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos and numerous native birds. Our farm has cows, sheep, and free range chickens as livestock. And of course a crazy border collie!
We have a large vegetable... more inside

Organic fruit and nut orchard with small veggie patch and lots of native and foreign flower beds. We live in a rainforest wildlife sanctuary 10 mins outside of Foster, and 30 mins from Wilson’s Prom. The property is owned and run by an American woman, Australian man and our happy baby Huck. We’d love help in the garden, childcare and housework, 4 hours of work a day. You’re welcome to use our NBN satellite internet, and we have mobile phone range on the property. We typically eat ethically sourced meat once or twice a week, but we’re happy to accommodate vegans/vegetarians. Pets are not allowed, as we like to maintain the wildlife in our area. Our home is easily accessible by bus from Melbourne. Simply take the V-line bus to Foster and we’ll pick you up! We speak English, French, and a very little bit of Mandarin and Spanish.

We live on 80 beautiful acres with our family of 90 plus rescued animals including horses, pigs, chickens, sheep, geese, cows and goats. We're keen for help establishing our orchard and veggie gardens, re-planting parts of our land for wildlife, building animal shelters, animal care and fencing. We have accommodation available in the main house, a very cute caravan 'Frankie' or a 5 metre bell tent (warmer weather only). We have a vegan home and the food is good! We own a popular vegan cafe. We usually head into Ballarat a couple of times each week to eat. Looking for help for up to four hours a day, not on the weekends.

We are a semi retired couple, enjoying life on our 2.5acres. We have a dog (Shadow), one precious cat (Puss) and 8 chickens..
Serena has planted lots of trees and shrubs, a nice vegetable garden, but it's all getting out of hand!
We'd like someone to assist us with carting mulch, cutting back trees and shrubs, and general garden maintenance jobs. We ask for 3 hours/day (for a couple) or 4 hours/day (single person) in return for full board and lodging (either in a caravan on site, a Queen bed in Serena's shed or in-house, depending on availability).
Best if you have your own transport.

We have a large holiday home and need help with the garden and some maintenance. It has got a bit out of hand. It is in the Mountains in a beautiful area. We are 1.5 hours from the ski fields and in summer we have swimming in the river. We are 99km from Melbourne. There is a bus service close by.
We would love to share it with you. If you could give us 4 hours help per day for full board. I think you would enjoy it. We have had help before and it has been very successful. We are not rigid with the working and have found in the past that a few days working then time for exploring or doing what you want seems to work.
It Is summer at present - good for swimming in the river.
Trout fishing is famous in the beautiful river and surrounds.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Available till August. It’s beautiful. Our favourite time is Autumn.

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components.

I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 5-10 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest weekly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for ... more inside
