COOKTOWN - A VERY UNIQUE RURAL SMALL COASTAL TOWN WITH HEAPS OF HISTORICAL CHARM!!

I am a mature owner of several businesses and properties and I need a hand.

I ran a large Horse Trail ride venture for over 16 years but now I want to downsize my work load and run a smaller operation. I need a helper to help me with my horses plus my properties where I have cattle and my many dogs and chickens. Plus help training and riding some of my younger horses.
So I am looking for helpers that have experience with all of the above. If no experience, someone that wants to learn. But you must love all animals.
But what is mandatory is someone that loves the bush, that doesn't need to be entertained, someone that is clean and tidy and doesn't mind helping in the house and doing their dishes. And I need a clean and sober and drug free helper and someone that does a honest hard few hours work every day.
Cooktown is full of pubs and clubs and restaurants that are always looking for c... more inside

Room/s available in beautiful house situated in very lovely, quiet & peaceful location. Close to airport, botanical gardens, charming cafe precinct and within easy distance to Cairns city (10 mins by car).
Suit single person or couple who enjoy peaceful living, a very short distance away from the city lights and waking to the sound of birds.
Will only suit people who do not require having their meals prepared for them. will swap accomodation for some home duties each day.

Also worth noting that although buses do run to and from Cairns city from nearby bus stop, although having your own car would be really handy.

We are a professional couple with three children.
We live on a 10 acre rainforest block overlooking Trinity Inlet, with a seasonal creek. Our house is situated at the base of a lush rainforest range that offers bush walking with tropical flora & fauna and is located 10 minutes drive from Yarrabah, a local Indigenous community that offers rich Aboriginal culture, beautiful scenery and welcomes tourism. The area is walking distance from beaches that offer fishing & beach walks.
We are looking for helpers for general yard/block maintenance & house cleaning. We have an eco pool that requires ongoing maintenance.

Helper accommodation is a self contained, 2 bedroom level of the house.
We are 40 min drive from Cairns CBD so having your own car is an advantage as there is no public transport available.
