We are a family of four, with two boys, aged 3 and a half and 10 months. We are easy going, and enjoy the quiet life. We look forward to meeting and experiencing people from other cultures. Holly is English, Andy is Australian. We are happy to help people learning English.

We live in a mobile home / static caravan in a small community not far from Glastonbury (~10 miles), in the countryside. We are keen gardeners, and have an allotment nearby. We are a vegan household, and love cooking and sharing food.

We have been helpx volunteers several times around the world and are keen to get some help ourselves!
We are away for the month of June but would love it if someone would come and house sit. Water the garden where we are away. We are just down the road.

The garden is situated in the picturesque village of Gissing on the Norfolk and Suffolk border approximately 20 miles south of the city of Norwich and 5 miles north of the market town of Diss. There are good rail and bus links to Norwich and London. Gabriel’s Garden is a small (approximately 2/3 acre) but quite literally ‘growing’ business, we specialize in growing a wide variety of flowers and foliage's renowned for their seasonality, fragrance and simple beauty to use in our onsite floristry studio.

We are looking for helpers to stay and help with a variety of jobs from February to November to help keep the garden growing: weeding and ground work, sowing, planting and at certain times harvesting. As a guide we aim for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week. The aim and ethos of the business is to be as sustainable as possible, we don’t use chemical sprays as we want to encourage a natural biodiversity within the garden, which means the majority of the work is done by hand.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A JOINER/CARPENTER, PLUMBER, ELECTRICIAN AND A COOK OR A COMBINATION OF THE ABOVE!

I am restoring and renovating a large Victorian house in Central London and am looking for help immediately from now through the summer. It is a family home (I am a single mum with a eight year old son).

We live in Limehouse in East London, 2 minutes away from the station. Limehouse DLR is 2 stops (every 2 min) away from Bank (Central Line), Tower Hill (Circle and District Line) and Canary Wharf (Jubilee Line). It takes 20min to get to Oxford Circus on the tube. And obviously we are close to all the arty, young energy of East London.

On your own time, you can explore all the amazing things in London etc, but unfortunately, as I'm a busy working mom, I won't be providing any tour guidance. We like happy, fun people, and the odd glass of wine, but no partying in the house as this is a family home. No smokers please.

We are looking for a few energetic, ... more inside

Attractive rustic old Norfolk Barns that I have been developing, on a shoe string, since 1991. In 1997 I built an eco-cabin and extended it in 2004 with a 50square metre straw-bale,on rubber tyres buildingy. We have a reed-bed purification system, and have started harvesting water. There is a large vegetable garden which I have developed along Permaculture principles with composting on site cf. Thanks to a former volunteer we now have a wonderful polytunnel. I am a member of the Permaculture association which has always been a source of inspiration.Sadly I am without large animals For many years I ran animal assisted activities, but recently have
given the ponies and pigs to a wonderful project working with city school children in a residential setting, giving them an experience of the outdoors. cf Ringsfield Hall Eco-centre near Beccles. I am now working with two Norwich Charities welcoming people in recover from addictions, and this June we received our own Charity Number:1178... more inside
