Hi, we are Mike and Nancy, a Canadian couple, residing in France. About two years ago we moved to Aulon, a small village between Saint Gaudens and Aurignac in Haute Garonne. We found an unloved house, to make home and bare land to build gardens. The goal is to live as naturally as possible in a modern world with permaculture principles as our guide.

We are trying to achieve self-sustainability in the long run, and much work is to be done. So far we have the gardens and green house planted, for fresh veggies this summer. We have our first brood of baby chickens, offering plenty of free range eggs. The fruit trees are in bloom. The two pigs are doing ground work clearing land and our two cats, Tesla and Honcho are our best friends and do nothing but eat and sleep (Enjoying the good life). Nancy mostly does the gardens and could always use help. I do the renovations (with Nancy’s help), and there’s a lot to renovate!

We are looking for capable help in July to assist us with som... more inside

We have always welcomed, hosted and helped people in need. Whether it would be for travelling, touring or seeking shelter for homeless people, we try to be there when possible.
This time, we though we might continue and ask for a little help.

Since July 2018, we have been living on the road and travelling in our 8m² horse drawn caravan. We also have a second wagon for hosting holidayers or helpers.

Zorba, the great percheron horse is our first family member. Abeille (Bee) is our second pulling horse.
We have two young dogs Nasba ans Oscar.

We are looking for people to help signal the convoy at crossing, open the gates, help unloading the horses, care for the horses, feed them, groom them at the high season only.

If you wish to, we are setting up a small circus show, a child story telling, we welcome schools and elderly people along the way, we organize sharing circle (group talks around various subjects such as permaculture, alternative ways of producing energy, eatin... more inside

This is a beautiful farm in South West Normandy, home to a herd of rare Rocky Mountain horses living a natural life on the land. It is about 1km to the village of Ger, which has shops and bars (one French, one English). Hosts Erica, Sarah and David are developing it as a nature retreat centre, and need help throughout the year with various tasks including horse care, cutting and clearing overgrown fields and woodland, gardening, and building work. We are passionate about the healing power of Nature and feel that this is a very special place. We have successfully hosted many helpxers here, and also in Sarah and David’s previous place in England (see reviews below) and love sharing our amazing home with all kinds of interesting people from all over the world. We look forward to welcoming you here.

We are currently looking for helpers to assist our lovely builder friend, Dave, with a house extension and some renovations (inside and outside work). You will need at least a basic abili... more inside

NEEDED AT THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER 2019.
Now I`m getting old and need help to do things which I could do for myself not so long ago, and I need it as soon as...

J’ai tellement besoin d’aide bientôt. Même quelques jours m’aide.

I like my own space, so a stay of 10 days,at most 2 weeks, is best for me. but you can always come back if we get on well. Lots of helpers have and do.

PLEASE READ MY PROFILE! I KNOW IT IS LONG BUT IT DOES TELL YOU WHAT TO EXPECT!

These are some of the things which need doing. My age is beginning to weigh heavy on me. I need someone bright, dynamic and reasonably fit to help me..
Right now I need someone to help me get organised. My paperwork threatens to overwhelm me.
My craft supplies need organising. Oh! how they need organising! There are lots of craft projects that I have started and am now unable to finish.
Candle making, model maki... more inside

Handy people are welcome in Burgundy!

We're living in an old 18th century house between Auxerre & Toucy, we have recently opened an artistic & cultural guest house. We're looking for a practical, independent & skilled volunteer during 2-3 weeks or more to help us cutting wood & rehabilitating the shed with a new wooden floor.

We are in a village and in a heritage park on 1.5 hectares of land and there is always something to do : several projects are underway ! We've opened our B&B in may 2018 and we have created an association to highlight the industrial heritage of ochre with workshops, exhibitions, concerts...

I wanted to thank ALL of YOU who came from all over the world to help us... without YOU, we wouldn't have opened our BnB at time and wouldn't have accomplish such events !

A bientôt, Cat and Gil

Hi there, we are a belgian couple (Kim, 35 and Oliver, 46) who started a sustainable living project 7 years ago. We also have a lovely, bright and playful daughter of 7: Lila !

We have a big garden consisting of an old cider orchard, a foresty bit next to the brook where the donkeys love to wander, a big (wild) permaculture veggie patch where unfortunately the chickens love to sneek in and lots of little corners. Besides the garden we have the main building which is the house as well as a big barn/stable, chicken coop, and two other little shacks, with even so many ideas to make out of them! So if you're interested in ecologically living, building and spending some time in the beautiful countryside of the bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel, don't hesitate to contact us!
