We are Dom & Liz, and run a B&B/gite business from our renovated farmhouse, set in 7 hectares with panoramic views of the Pyrenees mountains.

We're closed for the spring to tackle landscaping and renovation projects - digging the vegetable garden, building woodsheds and indoors a yoga studio.

The work is quite varied and would suit people that like physical/outdoor tasks. Any practical skills are appreciated.

We look for around 25 hours of help per week, in exchange for accommodation and food.

Accommodation is normally in our adjoining gite, and you have access to wifi, sat tv & free calls to uk/us landlines.

We are 5 miles from the nearest town. We can lend you a bike, and help out with lifts now and again, but its essentially a rural location.

Residence in French Pyrenees, at the feet of one of the largest natural resorts of France.
I want to make of this place a retreat centre where people come for seminars and workshops about personal development and alternative healing.
Having the first residents arriving soon, I need an alround helper: painting, cutting trees and gardening but also cleaning rooms. If you like mountains, this is the place for you.
Bus to Perpignan railway station and airport.
I offer lodging, meals included and 50/50 working/time off. My mother language is Dutch but I speak fluent French and English.

We are an English/American couple with three bilingual teenagers living in the rural idyll of Basse Normandie, 40 mins from Le Mont St. Michel. The kids are very busy with college, evening activities and their social lives. We grow as much of our own food as possible, have outside work, teach Yoga and practise Craniosacral Therapy. We need help with the tranformation of outhouses into usable spaces, painting and decorating and garden creation. There is free use of the telephone to landlines and Wi-fi internet and bicycles. Working hours would be 3-5 per day, negotiable.

We are Mo and David. We have retired from a very busy life running a spiritual centre in Kent England. We moved to this beautiful area in South West France in November 2007. We are both artists, David works in wood mostly although he is also fully skilled in building and maintenance. David and Mo built a kiln last summer and Mo is returning to making ceramics after a long absence. Volunteers would be welcome to use the pottery and art studio in their spare time..

We have about four and half hectars (about 12 acres) of land, which consists of woodland and meadows, which is cut once a year by a farmer, and a rose garden which surrounds the house. we also have a thriving vegetable garden.

We have an organic vegetable and fruit garden. We are very conscious of the necessity of being organic, but have had to use a limited amount of weed sprays on the ornamental garden.

We are ten minutes from the nearest town, in a very rural area, we have bikes and lots of quiet countrysid... more inside

Beautiful converted water mill providing gites and chambre d'hôtes. Extensive woodland grounds adjoining a 2 hectare lake in the rolling hills of south central Brittany. Much to do restoring woodlands and lake plus landscaping the property. We also have plans to restore the hydroelectric turbine and waterwheel to generate electricity. Volunteers can stay in the holiday accommodation out of the holiday season or under canvas in the summer.

Hi,

We are a french couple of 35 years old and we live in an old country house with our son, Marek (22 months actually). We bought this house 2 years ago and we renovate it with our hands, our imagination, some recycling and natural products. We are not builders but that’s the 2nd house we renovate and we really love it. We always learn new technics with alternative books and exchange with lots of people.

For this summer we need helpers for completely transform the 1st floor. Electricity, plumbing, masonry, isolation, lime and wood ground. But we don't need people who have special skills for that, we just need hands to help us!! We can teach you some technics to renovate a house by using natural product.

Actually, We can host you in a room for 2 persons with all confort. We will provide you 3 meals per day, internet access with wifi and a washing mashine. We also want to bring travelers in our house to have an exchange with you, and if you want you can join us in our volunt... more inside

We run a small rose nursery and a display garden. We are looking for someone who likes horticulture and could help us in the garden and nursery. A wide range of tasks, including weeding, potting up, clearing away prunings and pruning. Just generally lending a hand. We have two dogs and two cats, so better for someone who likes animals a bit and is not allergic. Ideally we would like someone during March or April - the length of stay is negotiable. Work would be something like four hours a day.

Our situation is rural, about 5 kms from the nearest village which has the essentials. About 85 kms north of the Pyrenees, if you like the mountains.

We are an English family living in the foothills of the Pyrenees just outside the village of Greffeil. which is half and hour drive from the city of Carcassonne. Where you will find the Canal du Midi and the river Aude running through it. Also the medieval castle. A great tourist attraction.

Our home is set in 23 hectares of wood and open land where we keep horses and foals. Also pigs and cows.In spring we cut and bale hay which is quite a busy time and help would be handy to have.

we are quite isolated but if you like walking cycling and horse riding then this is ideal for you.

WE need a person who would like to help round the house and help on the land.

We do have bicycles to use so you could make it to the village of St.Hilaire where there are some shops.Otherwise you would have to rely on any of us to take you to the main towns.

Hello! I'm Bobby, a young Scottish guy who recently bought a farmhouse just outside Limoges. It's a really big exciting project however it would be slightly daunting to face on my own, so I need your help!

The farmhouse is located in a very beautiful rural area with a few other houses and farms scattered nearby. There are towns and villages with popular beach lakes, plus it's a 30 minute drive to Limoges city centre so it is peaceful but easily escaped when necessary. The property consists of just over 2 acres of garden/field, a renovated ex sheepfold (which is now a bedroom/living area), the main house plus a ruin (which is currently half a wall). So yeah jobs are hugely variable - it's basically a complete renovation. If you have some skills that's awesome but the most important thing is a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.

To name a few jobs - General tidying, wall building, knocking through walls, plasterboarding, flooring, gardening/landscaping, painting/decor... more inside

Hello! We are a small family farm in a beautiful, remote setting in the Ardèche at 500m altitude. We have a large family but our grown-up children have left home, only our youngest son still lives here. We have been here for 25 years. We have restored the house ourselves over the years, but there are still walls and buildings which need restoring. We have been hosting wwoofers for 5 years and we are happy to share our knowledge and to meet people and discover other cultures through hosting.

We are constructing a guestroom so we are looking for help from people with experience in carpentry, masonry, tiling etc. We are installing insulation with ecological materials. We are looking for people to stay for up to a month but we're flexible with the duration.

We eat meat here but vegetarians are welcome.

Helpers are welcome throughout the year from now!

See you soon!
