We have sold the farm and went 'offline' with helpx because we moved into a tiny flat. Finally in our new home on our 5 ha 'lifestyle block' approx 10 minutes north of Whangarei since July '18. There is landscaping to do, also possibly planting and painting at times.
Once we get the grounds sorted, we will want to plant trees, provided it doesn't get too dry.

We have one spare bedroom with en-suite - so it's one visitor, or a couple who are comfortable sharing a queen sized bed.
Love gourmet food, international cuisine, we're omnivorous, we have a boardgame group that meets fortnightly, Suze is into all kinds of fibre arts and crafts, Peter does 'fine' Woodwork. Going to cut it short here ...

We live near the beautiful Tokerau beach, Perhipi bay, and 7mins to Matai bay. Two and a half hours from cape reinga, and 35mins to kaitaia. We have recently purchased a small villa and are in renovation process as well as landscaping and garden development. We home educate our 8, 6 and 4yr old boys, so life is busy noisy and we are very flexible with work usually in the mornings and afternoons free. We love the boys to meet people from other countries and learn about different cultures etc. If you like kids, gardening, building, fishing, and beaches we would very much appreciate a helping hand, 4hrs a day in exchange for meals and board. We also have a puppy and we breed ragdoll cats so have lots of kittens coming and going.

I am a very friendly hardworking person who has lived in the Bay of Islands for 25 years on a large property operating a holiday home.

I have recently shifted to a smaller property further North of Kerikeri, with smaller grounds & gardens and sea views.

I love to host vibrant and fun people keen to just muck in with every day tasks and help plan and execute any new ideas. You must be a dog friendly person and if you have any computer skills it is a real bonus! I usually have a list of tasks and you will have to be prepared to work on your own sometimes.
My preference is for mature people, wishing to stay for a maximum period of 1 week.

Just bring along a happy to help attitude is all you need at my place, because to me any help I receive is always greatly appreciated and I too have a "happy to help" attitude.

I speak English only, cook great meals and provide a good standard of accommodation.

I happily transport helpers to and from Kaeo township and to various nice... more inside

We are a family of four (including two boys aged 7 & 9), living on our family farm, situated on the south side of the Whangarei Harbour. The farm has been in the family for at least 140 years. We currently farm sheep and cattle, along with ducks and hens! We are not organic but are practising biological / regenerative farming methods. We have plans to diversify, which include building a harbourside walkway, replanting an old orchard with citrus and subtropical fruit, improving our olive grove and planting some more land in NZ natives. We are currently working on some farm-stay accommodation and are continuing with our traditional farm activities, including seasonal jobs such as shearing sheep and haymaking. We are also working on adding value to our coarse wool, by making rugs and other products.

Work depends on time of year, but includes gardening and weeding, general farm work, sometimes building maintenance eg painting, tree planting and possibly general house work such ... more inside

Hi Guys

I live 4kms from Kerikeri Post Office. We have a double room with ensuite and seperate enterance available.
We are 500mtrs from the Waitangi Forest enterance with the accompaning trails and mountain biking. There is a superb 4 k walk into Kerikeri down the Wairoa Steam past a couple of waterfalls.
Lots of lovely walks, historic stone store, Waipapa Basin.
We are on the Te Arhoa trail and I have done most of the trail this end of the country.
HOWEVER
We have too many projects on the go and could do with help.
1. Build a roof out of timber and corrogated iron to go bewteen two containers. Dave is a capable professional boatbuilder but does not have time to complete the project. He is able to supervise people with building skills.
Actually the containers need to be waterblasted and painted also.
2. Help clean up and move firewood from a hedge felling project.
3. Mulch garden on a slope.
4. cook! We once had some Helpex people that cooked for us. It was wonderf... more inside

We are a french/kiwi family of 4. We are living between Kerikeri and Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Our warm house is in the country and we share it with Penny the dog, our chickens and cows.
We need someone (or 2 possible too) to give a hand with the childrens ( 22 months and 5 months) the house and the garden. We will love a french speaking helper because we want our kids to speak their mother's tang.
No need to work for us everydays. Wich mean that you will have time to found a pay job or travelling!! We are very flexible with the hours.
We love going out on the boat fishing or diving and having nice yummi diners with friends. Simeon is a very very good cook!!
The helper will have a nice warm room with a big bed!! Having a car is a plus because we are 25 mn from town and not on the main road who make it hard to hitchick!!

Cheers
Audrey Simeon Babette and Anatole

Catherine and Dave live on a 1 ha lifestyle block. Our children are at university or have left home, so there are spare rooms with own bathroom. Work with the sheep or on our forestry block. We are also leading a community pest control project to remove tree Privet in our area so there may be work on privet control.

We are located close to KeriKeri and Paihia in the Bay Of Islands.
We are looking for a fit and enthusiastic person or couple who loves working with animals to help out on our dairy farm over the calving and mating period.
We would like help with milkings, feeding calves and odd jobs around the farm and house.
Previous farm experience is preferred but is not essential. You must have a strong empathy for animals as we take great pride in how we care for our livestock.
You need to be able to ride a two and four wheeler motorbike.
Having your own car and drivers licence would help, as we are 15min drive from town.
Hours per week is negotiable.
