We are Barb and Dave and we live in wildlife country just north of Toowoomba. We have about 30 hectares that we are preparing for cattle, but at the moment we have just a few horses. We are looking for a girl or couple of girls to help out. We would consider anyone (male or female) who is a qualified or experienced house painter :-))

The main jobs you will do will be cleaning, gardening and helping me keep control of the house and farm. I also need help scanning a heap of old photos and sorting them out - a time consuming job that I haven`t been able to get started on. If you are a painter, all of our window frames and sills need repainting even thought the house is only seven years old. I am learning Spanish, so would love to have someone who would be keen to talk to me - but not necessary.

You will have your own room and usually your own bathroom, depending on what`s happening when you come. You will help about 25 hours a week, and we are flexible about when you do this -... more inside

We are a large family living in a large house and garden. We would love you to come over and stay and help us out with house duties and especially gardening at a time when we are getting the garden ready for spring. We have a vegetable patch that requires attention and lots of other gardening to do. In exchange for this, you will have full board in a lovely room with your own bathroom and plenty of time to explore the region and interact with the family.

** AVAILABLE NOW **
G'day
We are a fun loving family with 1 child located on a lovely new small property about 2 hours drive from Brisbane, in a small country town.
We have live-in accommodation available with all meals included. You will have your own bedroom with shared bathroom and Wi-Fi. There is a pool (for when it warms up) and small creek running through the property which you can go swimming in or fishing. There are many lovely sights to see around the area and we are more than happy to show you them.
Ideally we would love to find a person or two who has some experience with horses and who would love to work with them, as that is what we spend a majority of the time doing. You will also need to be very child friendly as we love doing activities as a family.
We have fantastic references from previous helpers and they have always said that they felt like apart of our family whilst staying us.
There will be approx. 4 hours work per day as per Helpx recommendations an... more inside

We have a 40 acre property located in the Whyanbeel Valley and adjoining the Daintree National Park and we are 25 minutes from Port Douglas. We have mixed crops, hay, cut flowers, rare plants, ducks, geese, peacocks and chooks. I am really interested in organic growing, permaculture, sustainable farming and agroforestry and apply these principals to the farm. We also grow a lot of our own fruits and veg. Our place is very pretty, lots of gardens, waterfalls, rainforest and freshwater swimming spots. Wildlife is abundant. I expect 4 hours a day and you get all meals, private air conditioned accomodation and even beer. No mobile phone service but we have wifi.

I also am an artist and have a gallery that I sell my ceramics and glass through. If you are artistic then I could probably use your help in my production work

Good English only please

I accept short term travellers (backpackers welcome) at all times so please send me a message.
