Our Pearling Base, on the shores of Beagle Bay, is 120kms north of Broome (approx 2.5hrs on unsealed road in 4wd vehicle) on the Dampier Peninsula. It is very hot Nov-Mar (our wet season) & quiet, but we’re still hosting helpers during these months. Our dry season is often called ‘tourist season’ because the weather is warm, sunny and less humid, Apr-Oct (Australia’s winter months) - but there are lots of visitors and many helpers looking for hosts.

In exchange for (on average) around 5 hours work per day (often you will work independently), you will be provided with a rare and remote place to stay for a while, healthy food - mostly freshly caught fish (catching the fish & cooking the fish are shared experiences), single or double room with ocean or garden view (linen, fridge in the room), shared bathroom facilities & possibly sightseeing, fishing and freediving opportunities by boat, or onshore, & in addition, you can use our fishing rods and try your luck.

All cooking, clean... more inside

Hobby Farm situated in the beautiful Chittering Valley less than an hour from Perth. Peace and tranquility. Bridle Trail nearby for walks. Beautiful birdlife and wild kangaroos on property.

There are citrus orchards, vineyards and wineries, as well as The Maze nearby, and I am situated not far from the Swan Valley (where there are many wineries, cafes, restaurants and art galleries). There is public transport (bus) available from the nearby Bullsbrook townsite. I mainly require help with gardening, painting and fencing - whatever your strengths are! If you have stonemasonry or carpentry skills that would be an added bonus!

While you are here, you are welcome to join me in some of the activities I enjoy. I am involved with Madjitil Moorna Choir, which celebrates Aboriginal languages and promotes reconciliation, Muzenza Capoeira (capoeira is a Brazilian Martial Art - the one that looks like a dance), and also Akwaaba (a West African Drumming group). I am an Australian who is ve... more inside

Hi! We have a young family (4 children) and we both work full time. Our farm is our home and we are hoping to be self sustainable.
There are many varied animals (cows, sheep, horses, chooks and children) so as a result the work avalible is varied depending on what the season is and what you are capable of doing.
Some jobs may include: Tending garden, fencing, cooking, cleaning, live stock work, teaching music, or a new language.
It would involving living in your own space (bed, toilet/bathroom and kitchen area) on our farm.
We live near wonderful beaches for surfing or swimming, and forest areas. There are horses available to ride and a coast line rich in scenery to be explored.

We are a farming family who's children have grown up and left home and we need some help around the house and garden. We are on 2300 acres, 35km from Boyup Brook and 50km from Kojonup, Western Australia. About 3 1/2 to 4 hours drive from Perth and 2 hours from Bunbury. We were owner builders of our house. We sourced a lot of building material from local old buildings, and picked up stones for the walls from the paddocks on the farm.

We have chooks, cat, dogs, at the house and we are a sheep, cattle, and cropping farm.
Need to down size and do a grand tidy and clear out of the house, hence also some painting. ?There will may be some sheep work as well. If job done well some money will be involved.
We are wanting help with mainly the garden at the moment and some house jobs. And maybe the odd job on the farm. Also, often some house painting.

We have a large garden area and would like general weeding, tidying, and reorganising of the vegetable garden and flower gardens.

We operate a spray free and only organic fertilizers property an hour and a half east of Perth in Western Australia. We produce free range eggs (500 birds to the ha) free range old breed pigs a few cattle and sheep and seasonal vegetables. In addition we have 3000 olive trees which are fertilized by the chickens. Accommodation is in the large main homestead and all meals are provided. We eat produce from the farm where possible and make our own sausages bacon and ham.

We are looking for up to four people to help around the farm as part of our team. We all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and especially people who are interested in food and where it comes from.
Work involves feeding animals and collecting cleaning and packing eggs as well as helping with the vegetable gardens. Typically work is 5 or so hours a day depending on what is on. There is the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the farms operation.
