Looking for an enthusiastic energetic helper.
We have a family-run Bed & Breakfast on the beautiful island of Inishturk.

Our house is a hive of activity during the summer months as we have a lot of guests, therefore we require some help.
You will be made very welcome in our home where myself and husband Bill raised our 6 children.
We treat our guests as family and we will naturally do the same with you!
There is a wonderful family atmosphere in our house and can be quite busy at times with both family and guests.
We require help with housekeeping and accommodation and if you are a couple there are plenty of odd jobs to be done outside.

In your free time, our island has a lot to offer: beautiful scenic walks, 2 beautiful sandy beaches and a lively atmosphere in our Community Club. There are many events and festivals on the island throughout the summer.
Our island webpage is www.inishturkisland.com

ABOUT THE OPAL CENTRE:
OPAL consists of a house, Holistic Centre, outbuildings and garden area. It is in the heart of a rural part of Ireland, a small village called Dunamon, which is approximately 15km outside of Roscommon Town. This makes it a great location for a peaceful and relaxed stay, whilst being fairly close to Roscommon town. It is a short drive from a number of great places to visit. There is no public transport from Dunamon so you would need a car or bike to travel anywhere that is not in walking distance, although I am happy to give you a lift if I am going into town, etc.

Set in a rural environment it is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat or fishing, walking, etc. whilst providing us with some help. We are a short walk from the river Suck and Donamon Castle.

OPAL offers a tranquil setting where you can escape from the distractions of modern day life. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and quiet environment, suitable for relaxation and retreat. For... more inside

WE ARE NOW FULL FOR JULY & AUGUST

We are a very relaxed couple who prefer people who have a little life experience. Preferable those who have lived away from home.
We really enjoy HelpX; each year we have a tasks we want to complete, so we really like help getting these done.
We are very happy passing on the experience of growing and preserving foods that has been grown organically; and what we have learned over the years who have stayed with us.
We really like people who can work unsupervised; & with the ethos, if they see a task needing to be done, to go ahead and do it. We want people to gain as much experience as possible in a productive & positive way.

Our place consists of 1.5 acre smallholding in West Cork close to the sea, mountains, lakes and woods; in one of the most scenic areas of Ireland.

Our land is put to mixed use; which includes orchard's, raised vegetable beds and poly-tunnel's to grow as much of our own food as possible. With the rest of our food l... more inside

I am looking for people,(a couple would be ideal) to help with outside work such as gardening but also cutting and stacking firewood etc. Would suit a young energetic couple, maybe who also want to practice their English.

I am situated in Connemara about 30 miles West of Galway at the head of Kilkieren Bay. The area is very beautiful and surrounded by lakes and mountains. The sea is about 10 minutes walk away and there are beautiful beaches within 5 miles. It can be very wet and windy but wonderful too in fine weather. I only have about 1/2 acre of land but my object is self sufficency. I have a large vegetable garden that is still being developed. I am also a beekeeper with currently four hives. There are young fruit trees some not bearing yet. I have some solar energy systems, mostly home made and installed which produces enough electricity to light a workshop and office. There is also solar water heating. As I am retired from the corporate world but very fit and healthy th... more inside
