We are a young couple living in Mannheim. It is not central in Mannheim but the bus station is within walking distance (5 minutes).

You will have your private room, if you are two, you will chare this room. We will provide you either matresses or a bed (depends). Depending on the season you arrive, you also might have an own bathroom. You can use the kitchen, the fridge and i guess that's what you will need. We will most probably be able to provide lots of vegetables, fruits etc.

You can bring pets with you, we will gladly host them as well. The tasks you will be faced with depend on the season etc. In summer there will be some work in the garden to be done (weeding, harvesting etc.), in winter you might iron the clothes, help with other tasks in the house. the time of work we will ask you to do variates. Some day there is less to do than on other days (maybe 2-3 hours / day). so there is time to spend your freetime every day. We can rent a bicycle.
This is only a private... more inside

Dear helper,
my house used to be a traditional style Bavarian farmhouse in the Bavarian mountains (Alps). There are lots of lakes in my area with crystal-clear water, ideal for swimming, surfing and sailing.
There's a nice river next to our town which is perfect for rafting.
In winter the area is ideal for skiing. There is a huge ski-resort 15 minutes from my house.
It would be great if you could cook and help in the household. You also can work in the garden or do some painting in and at the house. You should work about 3 hours a day.
We are not far from Munich. There is a train every hour, which takes 30 - 45 minutes to Munich.
My son and I would be glad to teach you how to prepare fresh yoghurt, bake organic bread or cook Bavarian food and make you acquainted with the Bavarian way of life in a typical traditional upper-Bavarian village with its numerous local festivals.
I enjoy playing the piano. Of course you can use it, too. We do a lot of outdoor activities like jogging... more inside

Axel and Katy age 50+ are proud owners of a 5 room home in the countryside of Bremen/Germany. Golo is our lucky dog (golden retriever) and Fily is our lovley cat (grey striped). We are looking forward to host a volunteer to help us in the house and garden - whatever you are able to do.

We offer a room and full board. Katy is a little handicapped, but very independent. Katy would like some help, with sweeping, dusting, laundry, walking the dog, easy gardening and so on...

We are open minded, easy going, and as happy as can be!
We hope you are the same.... WELCOME

Hallo!

I am looking for someone to do a work exchange for four hours a day to help me look after my gorgeous and uber loving Bordie collie Ziggy Startdust.

We are a small family with a 1 and a bit old baby.

Your tasks would be a mix of dog walking, and odd jobs (shelf assembly/montage, painting, varnishing, wallpaper removal)

This would also work well for a couple/two friends.

You will have your own room and all meals in exchange for 4 hours work per day with one full day off per week.

I live in Kreuzberg, near Schlesisches Tor (http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2008/oct/11/berlin-germany) next to the spree.

Dates available: Now, ongoing.

If you are interested, please write me a detailed request, outlining your relevant experience with dogs and children.

*** Can negotiate some pocket money too! ***

Hello there!

We are Moni and Juergen, an open minded married couple(both 50 years) and we are running our own business where we grow and harvest flowers but are specialized of growing roses for more than 23 years now in a small village in the black forest.
We live here in the village called Schmieheim with our dog Lilli. Schmieheim is located 40 km north of Freiburg – it is a beautiful area with many things to discover.
Both of our children are studying in Munich and Bulgaria and visit us regularly.
Our daughter was a helper herself and she made a lot of great experiences, too.

We bought our house a few years ago and are renovating constantly but mostly in winter from december to march while running our business as well and for that we are looking for people who are motivated and have some (at least basic) knowledge of renovating. From March to October we are looking for someone who wants to help us outside on the fields and selling our products on the farmers market which ... more inside

Hi, hallo!

We are finally able again to host people from all over the world as we have just bought a 70 year old house with paradise garden- and there's lots of work to be done even if we have just moved here..

THANK YOU ALL WHOSE HELP MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO MOVE INTO A COMFORTABLE NEW, OLD HOUSE AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF PREPARATIONS:
Felix has helped us to get rid of the old chimney outside...
Anna and Tom have filled holes and painted walls, prepared the wooden floors for new life...
Lorenzo has helped to construct the new kitchen, move furniture and boxes and cleaned without end...
Kay and Andy have built the willow fence and our new compost place...

We are a German-Italian family with three children (aged 6, 8 and 10).
The ex German/German border region where we live is all beautiful nature, hills, small villages and peace!
Most of our helpx/ warmshowers/couchsurfing hosting experiences until now though have taken place on an old farm in the hills of Italy ... more inside

Me and my parents are living in our house in Fürth (Bavaria). As we are all working fulltime (my father has his own ecological and fair textile printing company, my mother has two shops in our city where she sells fair trade fashion and I am working in my fathers company) we do not have that much time to take care of everything that has to be done at home (e.g. cleaning up, cooking...). We can offer a room for one person and food. If you like to stay at our house we would also like to show you the work with fair and organic fashion and printing. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

We currently do not need any help. Thank you for your interest!

Hello everyone,
the old factorysite we live in is next to Berlin (45 minutes to town center by bicycle and train). Surrounded by beautiful biotops (old beech stands, rivers, lakes), and a river flowing across the factorysite, it is the beautifull cross-over of 19th century industrialization and nature.

In total, there are approximately 50 people living there. Communitylife includes projects in organic gardening, building of infrastructure (like compost toilets, children playground, party area), as well as social get-togethers such as pizza-evenings, jam sessions, sauna and parties.

Our little family consists of three members (2 grown-ups and a child of 3 years). We are studying in the University of Sustainable Development in Eberswalde (International Forest Ecosystem Management). Since we moved to Spechthausen 2 years ago we were building up our trailer and creating our permaculture garden. (Pictures will be ... more inside

Hello everyone!
Our family run farm is located in the North Rhine-Westphalia 15 km from Münster.
We are Hedwig (83), Berthold (56), Maria (53) and Maren (21) and we love to meet and host
interesting people.

Close to an idyllic town called Greven we grow potatoes which we sell them on the our farm.
We also hold about 80 cattle and grow maize and cereals for them.

On our farm we also host about 40 horse and give lessons in horse riding.
The life on the farm is quite busy. There are always nice people around and one can enjoy the westphalic atmosphere surrounded by nature and animals like the cattle. horses, cats, and our dog Fenja.

Help
There are different areas where we can need help. This doesn't mean that you have to volunteer night and day.
We expect 4-5 hours of help for board and lodging.

Our goal is that you can help in the areas where you can use your personal strengths in the best way.

When you have some experience tractors and machinery you could sup... more inside

You are invited to stay with us in a nice and peaceful rural enviroment, in the little village "Bentorf" which belongs to the community "Kalletal" (Lippe/NRW) and work on our new log cabin together with us.
Even if you never have done that before...
Stay as long as you like. There are always projects like painting or gardening, or constructing little things, screwing slats, putting insulation and so on...

On the pictures you can see our new log house in progress...

We live directly next to our new property - in an apartment of a renovated old farmhouse surrounded by meadows. Under your window you find the paddock for the two friesian horses "Ivy" and "Rudi" whose owner lives in the same house.

Kalletal is located near the "Teutoburger Wald" and the "Weserbergland" and is perfect for hiking or mountain biking, or doing the bike trip along the river Weser, which a lot people do- you can use our bikes if you like.
There are also some historical places nearby like the "He... more inside
