My name is Jodie and I live in the North of Brisbane (half an hours drive from the city and ten minutes walk to the beach) and I am looking for a couple of people with some spare time to help out with a couple of odd jobs from the 20th August until the 26th August 2012; mainly involving painting a house (externally). If you can put in four hours worth of work per day, I can offer board for that period (food and a place to stay) and we can discuss the rest. Redcliffe is a beautiful place to explore and all accessible without a vehicle...

We live 32km North of Bundaberg. We live in a small town of Yandaran. Over the past few years my husband has been ill and now is in recovery mode. Over the past few years the garden has grown more than we can catch up with at the moment. We can offer camping as well as a caravan on our property. We are only asking for 4 hrs a day of gardening and maybe some maintenance and the rest of the day is yours. We can offer you food and a place to relax as well as a chance to mingle with a family and the local community. Yandaran has a beach only a 10min drive from our place. Own vehicle would be preferred but can pick up from Bundaberg. I have had the great opportunity of meeting helpx people through my work "Yandaran Hotel. Thought it would be a great chance to meet new people and introduce our children to different cultures. Would love to hear from anyone who can be trusted and enjoy children as we have 3.

We grow coffee and need your help now the sun is out picking it!

The picking is easy but you will need to be happy to work outside and not afraid to get your hands dirty.

We are one hour north of Brisbane and just a 30 minute walk to the train station and shops.
I can do pick-up and drop off at Morayfield Train Station, There is a direct train to Morayfield Train Station every 30 minutes from Brisbane Central Station.

In exchange for half a day’s work each day or a full day every other, we offer food and accommodation.
Helpers normally work a day then have the next off leaving enough free time to do your own thing and explore.

This is a hobby farm as both Gordon and I work full time, you will need to be motivated and happy to work unsupervised.
A good understanding of English and an ability to communicate is important.

The house hold consists of grown children, 1 dog, 2 cats and 3 hens.

A willingness help out in other areas in wet weather is important.

Our eco-lodge is nestled in the heart of Wet Tropics National Park and World Heritage Rainforest. We run on Hydro-Electricity from Wallaby Creek which surrounds the property. The water is crystal clear with a beautiful waterfall nearby, just a short walk away from the lodge. Alongside the creek and waterfall there are also three dams, sited around here. Wildlife is absolutely everywhere, with a wide range of diversity including many wallabies, cassowaries, platypus, turtles, bird-life and other reptiles. The official walking track to Cedar Bay starts right here. There is a small organic garden which needs a little love and care. Work may include shopping, cooking, cleaning, general maintenance and yard work. After work the forest is yours to explore, go for walks, swim in the waters and generally communicate with nature. Stays for longer then one week are negotiable.

Ray is located in Winton. He trains race horses, and requires help doing chores. Ray has a good since of humor and can talk anything. While the work isn't hard he keeps moving all day and invites you to give him a hand. Chores can be anything from helping him outside, to cleaning up inside. The main thing is there are too many things to do in a day and not enough time. No experience is required just a willingness to jump into it.

Ray has 6 horses in work now and more to get going. Besides the horses which Ray takes care of he breeds working dogs, as well as raising cattle, and goats. All of which require attention daily. Come meet Ray's pet pig, kid goats, chickens, horses, pups, and old cow that will eat bread out of your hands.

Ray is rural so time spent here can be used for the second year visa application.

*Please call rather than email or text as Ray can not read or write.

Cheers

Quiet country acreage on the Bloomfield River in North Queensland. Modern 'barrack style' accommodation with all amenities and services. This will suit persons willing to exchange some light duties around the property for clean, safe lodgings and the ability to explore the surrounding areas from a comfortable base.
