Helpers needed between 8 and 21 of April
Welcome to Dunedin, New Zealand! We have a double room available in our family home. We are a 15 hectare lifestyle block, with about 10 sheep, two donkeys, chickens, ducks and pet dog, cat and rabbits. We both work full time in education and we have two teenagers.
We have a lot of native bush on our land and planted forest blocks. Some small paddock areas.
There are a lot of jobs we need help with! Clearing scrub, weeding, pruning etc. There is plenty to do inside if it's a rainy day!
Accomodation is a nice light double room and all other facilities are shared. Meals provided in exchange for 4-5 hours work.
Our property boarders some of Dunedins best known walking tracks and nature sights.
We are looking forward to meeting you and having you to stay :) (non smoking )

Lovely house and gardens with a self contained cottage with double bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, TV, heated, wifi. If the cottage is not available then you will be using the 'games room' which has it's own bathroom but no TV or any space to make food. Ask which place you will be staying!

Jobs are mostly outside in the garden, weeding, clearing the section, raking all the leaves, cutting back trees, etc. there is some work inside the house and will be one night of staying in with the children, and one night where you can cook a dinner from your country!!
We prefer couples but are open to anything!
Look forward to meeting you

I have settled in Aotearoa in 1983 after leaving Germany and travelling the world extensively. My field of work is alternative medicine.
I live in a beautiful home overlooking the Blueskin Bay and we are part of an idealistic community aiming for self-sustainability and connectedness. You will find a variety of stunning beaches, where Xaver stumbled over a penguin last night, as well as walks in the Silver Peaks with mountain huts and plenty of bird life. The neighbouring Orokonui Ecosanctuary is a further attraction. The drive to historic Dunedin takes 20 minutes.
You will be accommodated in our own cosy sleepout, so will have your privacy.I am happy to share the meals with you and my cooking isn't suposed to be too bad.
The work would envolve gardening, lawn mowing, wood chopping or other odd jobs.A fair exchange seems to be 3-4 hours work per day. Looking forward to meet up with some enthusiastic, likeminded travelers.

We need some help with our hedges, veggie garden, general housework and some small projects based on visitors skills and experience. People with experience using petrol hedge trimmers and/or a chainsaw would be a great help in the garden. However there is lots to do if you don't have this experience.

The house is 4km from the city centre, uphill all the way! You'll need your own vehicle. However there is a 1 min walk to the bus stop. We have great panoramic views of Dunedin and are located very near walking/running/mtb tracks.

We have a short haired, friendly cat, Mel.

The spare room has a queen bed. I'd expect two hours work a day, with people being responsible for their own cooking. Helpx people we host must be non-smoking visitors, preferably with references. We have a 5 year old in the house, keeping it lively.

If you are a non-smoking couple or a single female with your own transport and are interested, get in touch and let us know a bit about yourself. We look f... more inside

We are small lifestyle block holders on 20 acres in Tarras, Central Otago, NZ.
We currently are running 10 cattle, 5 sheep and chickens with 3 cats. In the summer we also hold piglets.
Along with this we also run travellers accommodation.
There is a wide variety of walks to explore in the local area.
We both currently work full time and would love to be able to give any helper the opportunity to experience what Central Otago and we have to offer.
We would love a hand, a few hours a day, with some landscaping a hand with the gardens and other odd jobs.
We are located 30 minutes from the nearest town so you need to have transport if you would like to explore the area.
Love to hear from you.
