Au Pair - September - November 2019

We are looking for an independent, fun, efficient, individual to join our family of four for 3 months (minimum).

Our children are aged 7 and 9. We live on a farm on the outskirts of Queenstown. We farm and own a number of childcare centres. The girls in the family are all slightly horse mad. Our life is very full.

This position would suit someone who wants to become part of the family, enjoys working/living with kids, and living on a farm. There may be teacher relief work available at our childcare centres for the right candidate. We have previously structured this arrangement with working in the morning and having the afternoons/evenings off. Position is not available to couples.

Benefits include:

* Fantastic food guaranteed
* Vehicle
* Option to graze your own horse
* Wide variety of responsibilities - no day is the same and great adventures are likely

We live in Kelvin Heights a sunny Queenstown suburb. We are looking for someone to help out with general gardening and property maintenance. We also have 2 young children so there may be an opportunity to help with some childcare. Ideally we would like someone who is happy to work on their own and knows the difference between weeds and plants and likes children.

Accommodation is a backyard caravan. There is a bus stop within 5 minutes walk for transport into Queenstown etc.

We are a traditional NZ sheep and cattle farm situated right on the beautiful Otago coast only 35 minutes north of Dunedin city. If you’re keen on beautiful scenery, lovely beaches, wildlife like seals and penguins, and have a love of the outdoors, this could be for you.
We are looking for a helper who is confident and can show initiative. They would be involved in a range of activities; a small amount of cleaning, gardening, general farm work, and helping with a boisterous 3 year old. This is a busy and interesting time on the farm as we are lambing and helpers are always needed for lambing related tasks including to help feed ophan lambs. The length of stay would be dependent on the helpers interests, situation and skill set, but anything from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months, and the right person would be welcome to stay longer if they liked.
A car is desirable but not essential, however we would like to give you the opportunity to explore our beautiful area in your down time an... more inside

We are a horse farm. Our main activities include training young horses, training race horses and riding lessons and taking tourists for rides.
If experienced with horses you can help with starting and riding our young horses. (this is only available for suitable people who fit in and are staying longer term, and a trial period will apply)
If not experienced there's always jobs around the farm to do. Like cutting trails, fixing fences, gardening etc.
We mainly need help with feeding out and mucking out each day. prefer long term 1-2-3 months

We do not work with set hours. Everyone is expected to do household chores as well each day.

I have a house that needs a bit of work done around the place - there is plenty of renovating, gardening and general housework that needs doing.

I have a spare room suitable for 1 or 2 people. I'd like about 4 hours work per day out of you. Food is included but it's mostly help yourself as I work fulltime. There is plenty of work to do so we can discuss the length of stay.

I'm a 34 year old male, I work full time and having travelled around myself I love meeting travellers from all over the place. I live with my girlfriend, cat and chickens in Balclutha, a quiet little town handy to the Catlins and other great outdoor activities like the beach and fishing.

Current project is mainly kitchen renovation.

We live on a lovely small life style block, just a 2 minute drive from the village of Arrowtown and 20 mins from downtown Queenstown. I work as a busy vet nurse and my husband is a farmer on a large high country sheep,cattle and goat station.
Our 2 amazing daughters at home are 15 and 17 years and of course there are all our crazy pets. Combined with a fun positive outlook, well those are our main concerns in life :)
We are all very sporty and outdoorsy in our household plus super easy to get along with.
You will need to love animals and feel somewhat confident with horses.
If your main priority is a cheap bed / food please keep looking elsewhere - we are way too genuine for that.
We would love some help starting approx the 15th July 2019 until the end of August 2019. If this Works with your travel plans, then contact us and lets see if we can help each other out.

We would love mature help over 25 years old, couples are welcome. We would prefer people who want to take up paid hospitality work in the late afternoon/evenings in nearby Dunedin, so they can help us out by walking the dogs and letting horses, cleaning stables and prepping feed and haybags etc in the mornings while we are at work. We then do the evening tasks of getting the horses in, feeding etc when we get home. This arrangement means we have time on our own in the evening, and you have time on your own during the day, so more of a house share arrangement. We have 4 horses (experienced riders can school the horses once we are comfortable with skills and this is not guaranteed). House sharing with us means walking the dogs daily, letting the horses out in the morning (we get them in and feed them at 6am), cleaning the stables and prepare the hay and feed for the evening. Then it is just helping out generally as if this was your own home so if something needs doing u just do it, t... more inside

We live in a beautiful 1880s villa in the suburb of Roslyn in Dunedin. We welcome people who like to do work around the house and gardening. As Antonie is learning Spanish at the moment, we are particular keen to have people from Spanish-speaking countries :)

You will have your own quiet bedroom and access to shared bathroom and kitchen. Food/Meals will be provided. You will be asked to do 4-5 hours of work a day, and also help with the preparation of meals. We are also very happy to let you do the cooking, if this is something you enjoy.

Smoking is not allowed on the property.

We are currently a family of 3 (older kids have moved out), with a big friendly dog.

We are a Dutch couple, trying to live a sustainable lifestyle. Our house is a little log cabin on a lifestyle block (with sheep and a dog) in the hills surrounding Dunedin with a beautiful view of Dunedin and the harbour, yet it is only a 6 minute drive to town.
We can offer 3 meals a day (cater for gluten free, vegetarian, vegan), a shower/bath, internet, home made cider in exchange for 4 hours work. You can plan your hours to your liking, f.i. Work longer hours in advance and have time off later. At the moment we would welcome someone who can help us split wood and remove the mulch of a couple of huge gums that have been felled. You preferably have your own sleeping facilities (van or tent) as we dont have a spare room atm. We also expect you to help with the clean up after dinner, unless you were the cook. We love to make music together as a family and have some simple recording facilities. You are most welcome to have a jam! Non- smokers only, please. Preferably 24+
