Availability January / February for 7 -10 day stays.

Would you like to see how permaculture and sustainable living can be combined in an urban environment? Come and see rain water harvesting, no dig gardens, seed collecting etc, making mulch.

I have an urban permaculture property at Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, close to public transport and 4km from beaches.

My goal is to produce as much food of my own as possible by growing herbs, fruit and vegetables. I also have a couple of chickens and a compost area for improving my soil. I enjoy teaching helpers practical gardening skills and basic permaculture, organic gardening and cooking skills using garden produce. My situation is ideal for a couple who have a vehicle.

I prefer helpers with a prior knowledge / experience in gardening or permaculture or an expressed interest in learning about permaculture for their future lives.
Helpers need a good eye for detail and will be able to follow detailed instructi... more inside

We are booked until end of February. If March suits you, we would be pleased to take your enquiry. Also females only, please.

We live in a beautiful Bayside home.
Cleveland is a suburb of the Redlands Coast and is on the doorstep to Nth Stradbroke Island and many other smaller and very accessible islands. We are an easy hour on the train to Brisbane city. I work full time+ with a child going into year 12. The house is a large 4 bedroom Queenslander and I need help to maintain the home and grounds. We are used to having international exchange students and thought this might be an equally positive experience to enjoy travellers in our home and provide mutual benefit. We have a pool and spa that are very enjoyable in the hot and cooler weather, two beautiful dogs who give much love and love company, and we are pretty easy going in our natures. Our lifestyle during the school term is... hectic. We have busy schedules - but this keeps us fit and active. :)

I invite friends to help maintain and develop my retreat style property to a more efficient and productive nook whilst enjoying the nature of a micro style hobby farm.

I'd like some help with garden renovation, maintenance and care.
Tasks may include mowing, weeding, brush cutting, pruning, hedge cutting, bush clearing and chainsawing, maintaining irrigation, propagation and planting.

I have dogs and cats and horses that would love to have some of your attention. Also care is required for my quail covey and small chookpen.

Landscaping and handyman skills are very welcome. Building maintenance is often required as my humble dwellings are log cabins under continuous repair in this environment.

If you like solace, some tasks may be continued whilst I'm at work (irregular hours) and some I like to share.

I would welcome you to spend a couple of hours a day and otherwise enjoy the luscious surroundings.

I can provide accommodation in my onsite caravan and sometimes h... more inside
