Not needing any help at the moment thank you.

My house/granny flat on top of a hill overlooking the sea through the trees and surrounded by trees. A very cool and pleasant spot with a spare room (see photo) and a pool, half an hour drive north of Cairns city - a beach suburb. Buses go regularly to the city. I need help with spring cleaning. It's not very dirty work, just takes time and energy, dusting, cleaning windows, doors, walls, removing cobwebs etc. Due to health issues I can't manage it. I only use non toxic natural products and provide gloves and paper dust mask if required. Helper would have their own room but share the rest of the house. A few days up to a week is OK. I would consider a couple as I have only 1 double bed in spare room. Cooking can be shared or I can cook. Helpers are expected to clean up after themselves.

Hello !

I have a dairy and beef cattle farm that I run in conjunction with my son who with his wife live in another house on the property. We milk about 30 cows and rear all of our calves.

I provide accommodation, food and some beers in exchange for a few hours of help around the farm. I can take one or two people at a time. The accommodation provided is your own room living in the home with me. I take my guests to the local pub for a night out and to meet some of the locals for a chat on occasions and also show them around the local tourist attractions.

For anyone interested the opportunity is available to learn to drive tractors and operate machinery for tasks such as feeding cattle , fencing and other general farm work.
I have tractors and machinery, quad bike , motor bikes and horses to ride for those interested.

I have 4 friendly working dogs that we breed and also use to help with our cattle work. I also have a very lazy cat !

If interested please contact me... more inside

Our home is a 60's beach house that we renovated in 2017. We are a family of four, and our house is within walking distance to Burleigh Heads Beach, Burleigh Head National Park, Tallebudgera Creek and James Street shopping village. There are many restaurants, bars, food and coffee shops within a 2 minute walk down the hill, including a Woolworths, Foodworks, and Organic/ Whole Foods Juice Bars etc. Our property is in a secluded pocket, bordered on two sides by a conservation park, home to much birdlife including lorikeets and kookaburras, and if you're lucky you may get to see a koala.
Wake up to birdsong and enjoy being part of the bush whilst also being so close to the beach.

We look forward to a positive exchange of energy with you!

We would love to hear from you especially if you have building/ carpentry experience, however there is always work around the house to be done. While you're here we operate like a share house and really enjoy hosting people who are helpful ... more inside
