Hi

We are Richard and Janet and we consider ourselves to be a young couple in our mid-fifties! We live in rural Lincolnshire with our two large dogs.

We are mainly seeking help with gardening, landscaping, maintenance, decorating and building repair work together with occasional domestic chores. If you are good with vehicles we also have a number of classic car projects in our workshop, a half converted camper and a number of old pinball machines etc. for anyone who has a flare for electronics. There are always lots of projects on the go from building things to fixing things and occasionally just doing things for the fun of it. We are not a business enterprise.

You must love dogs as they are a big part of our lives. Our home is an old partly refurbished farm house and group of outbuildings dating back to the 1850ís. It is set in two acres of land located approximately 3 miles or 5 Km from the nearest town of Boston. We are located 2 miles or 3 Km from our nearest convenie... more inside

I am a well travelled female, late fifties and live in a lovely old farmhouse at the beginning of Hadrian's wall in Cumbria, the gateway to The Lake District.

Due to me slowly recovering from a leg injury
I am looking for help with my garden, an interest in developing a vegetable patch and flower borders is the main task, no heavy work involved. It would also be a plus if you are able to do some minor painting jobs, but not essential.

The placement is best suited to people who love being in the country and enjoys walking and country pursuits and into healthy eating. There a lots of historical places close at hand to visit during time off.

The majority of the work is done in the morning and I try to make sure that all work is finished by 12pm in the day, so that there is lots of time for exploring. I need someone from around the 6th March, but can be flexible, length of stay is by mutual agreement.

We always appreciate a helping hand in our small family-run horse riding holiday business, which we run from a traditional Welsh farm nestled in a secret valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We have approximately 60 Welsh cobs, most of which are bred here on the farm, and we host guests here in our B&B, so there's plenty to keep us busy. We are looking for people to help with mostly outdoor tasks as well as looking after the horses of course - gardening, digging out new paths, fencing, filling in pot holes, painting fences etc. Horse work includes mucking out, exercising horses, helping move them to winter homes. But we also expect you to lend a hand inside where needed, washing up after dinner for example, or maybe even taking a turn at cooking!

It's hard work but in return we offer your own small but cosy double room with free wifi, home-cooked meals each evening, a friendly and fun atmosphere, the chance to meet people from all over the world, and plenty of fantastic riding... more inside
