We are looking for people who are interested to stay with us in SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER.

We are a small B&B located in the heart of Isle of Skye, 40 minutes driving from Portree and 15 minutes from the Skye Bridge. We are ideally situated for touring this most scenic of Scottish Highland Isles as well as easy access to shops bank and facilities due to our central location in the village of Broadford.

The accommodation we offer is a bed in Broadford Backpackers hostel, 5 minutes walking from the B&B. We prefer people who are willing to stay with us a minimum of 3 weeks.

We need some help at the B&B during the mornings with breakfast and housekeeping, in exchange for a free bed. And sometimes we can also use an extra hand at the hostel.

A large one bedroom flat available from 9 September for 10 days. It has a kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, living room and study and is located in the south of England (one mile from the sea). Enjoy the flat and location in return for gardening, cooking, decorating (e.g. painting) and cleaning etc - whatever you enjoy/are proficient in. As we both work, much of the time you will need to work autonomously. If you like dogs, even better as we have a three year old black Labrador. The flat has its own front door and the bedroom has a double bed so would be suitable for one person or a couple. We eat healthy food, all diets catered for. There is much to see in the area, the Historic dockyards in Portsmouth are a short trip away, as is the new forest with its wild ponies. Winchester city, the old capital of England, is accessible via train and the Isle of Wight is directly opposite our bay and makes an excellent day trip. Get in touch for more details if you're interested and we c... more inside

We have a lovely small holding which is half broadleaved woodland, half pasture, with a stream running right by the house, 2 ponds, large veggie garden, orchard, greenhouse, sheep and dogs! (See photos below of a 2011 help-xer with one of our lambs and 2013 help-xers cleaning out the pond!)

We would like help with woodland management, gardening, preparation and maintenance of grazing land, weeding, planting, harvesting, general maintenance, perhaps light decorating, ironing when it's raining....and whatever crops up! There may occasionally be some work with our sheep and sometimes looking after our adorable dogs! We expect some help around the house such as washing up after dinner and perhaps cooking the occasional meal.

We offer accommodation in a refurbished 16th century cottage which is connected to the main house (see photo of room below). This will mean help-xers have their own sleeping & bathroom area tho' occasionally we may have other guests staying. You will s... more inside

Our 17th century farmhouse is home to Piers, Sue, three young people aged 18-22 (two are away at university), two house cats and a small, very friendly dog. Our stay length is two, occasionally three, weeks. We are now looking for help in October and November.

We offer helpxers comfortable accommodation in a prime tourist area, excellent food and a genuine welcome, in return for a fair level of physical work. It's a great opportunity for people who are keen to stay in a family environment and learn stuff about country living. We usually take helpxers one at a time; sometimes we have two people here.

Our home is within sight of the sea in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are shingle beaches to walk to and steep-sided sandy coves easily reachable by bike (although the roads are hilly!). South Devon is an enormously popular tourist destination from Easter to October, when it earns its reputation as the sunniest part of England.

We moved here seven years ago and h... more inside

Hi, we are John and Stephanie, semi-retired active hosts interested in history, art, poetry and folk music as well as farming. We are looking forward hosting friendly sociable volunteers so we can also learn about your life and culture.

Are you available to help us for a few weeks and learn more about our old-fashioned way of life?
Do you like horses and other animals? We need help with stable duties, field work, hedging, gardening and some housework. You will live in our home as part of the family which sometimes includes our son and elderly mother. In exchange for around 5 hours work per day (flexible) we offer full board and all meals are included. We cook good quality meals from basic ingredients and mostly buy locally sourced produce and are happy to cater for vegetarians as many of our meals are vegetarian. Please note we only accept non smokers. Our home is an unmodernised quirky Victorian farmhouse full of antiquity situated on the edge of a small farming village ... more inside
