We are looking for friendly and outgoing helpers to exchange your help for food and accommodation. We want you to feel like part of the family, be polite, make cheerful conversation and have fun.

Maralyn has multiple sclerosis and sadly is now in a wheelchair unable to eat or move by herself. Sam is her carer who lives with us as part of the family and she is supported by other carers who visit twice a day. Our son Adam lives in Cambridge and runs the family Patent Attorney business. He usually comes to our house twice a week to work in a small office in our garden.

We would be grateful for help with cooking, decorating, roofing, gardening, housework, horse care, DIY, hedge cutting, brick laying, wood chopping etc..

We have a green house and a vegetable patch and one retired horse. 6 acres of our land are used for our horses and we have 4 acres of land which we would like to develop for an interesting use eg food forest, woodland, etc.. Any suggestions are welcome.

We have availability now

Hi, This is a great opportunity if you can speak some English but want to improve. I have opportunities until November 2018. Volunteers have played a big part in helping me and its been a very positive and happy experience for them and me.

If you are outgoing, positive and would enjoy a new working experience on a boat this would be ideal for you.
We are looking for someone who can help with information and selling tickets for tourists. So, lots of speaking English. Also, helping on the boat occassionally for trips

Bath is a fantastic (small) historic and picturesque city to be based, going back to Roman times. It`s only a few minutes away from Bristol, another great city.

You will need basic conversational English, show an interest in working and living on a boat and be able to talk to tourists in the town centre about out trips. Helpers enjoyed being in the town centre with the buskers and their music!

Hello Helpers

Looking for a Helpx from 16 Sept onwards.
We need a helper who can do a variety of jobs around the Buddhist Centre mostly working in our cafe (want to learn barista skills?) but there may be other jobs such as cooking, cleaning and DIY. We need someone who has a reasonable level of English because of contact with customers in the café

We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks and prefer helpers who can stay longer

We are a Buddhist Centre run by a dedicated team of volunteers who aim to create an oasis of peace which is accessible for all members of the community. We offer a range of meditation classes and courses which are designed to help people to find inner peace and contentment and solve their human problems and to learn more about Buddhism. On the ground floor of our building, we run a Community Cafe which serves vegetarian food including home made cakes and soups and offers a place where people can take time out of their busy lives and relax.

We are, at the moment (from September 2018) looking for a couple/small group/very self sufficient individual to help with tidying and wood clearing on our smallholding. The cabin on our woodland also needs some attention which might require staying overnight there. Would suit someone/people who want peace and quiet, are able to work on their own and take initiative.

We are a 2 hectare smallholding with 2 holiday cottages (one of which would be the accommodation). We sometimes keep animals for our own consumption, grow fruit and vegetables and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the world.

We are looking for help with work both inside and out, depending on skills and inclination (and the weather) including cleaning and painting in the holiday cottages, Handyman-type maintenance, wood clearing and chopping, strimming, weeding/picking vegetables and helping out around the smallholding and garden. Hello there!

We are looking for some new helpers to join us for the last month of the summer season. (October)

We are a 60 bed backpackers hostel based in an old Wesleyan Chapel in the centre of St Ives, Cornwall.

We have plethora of people who stay with us from international backpackers, independent travelers, families, walkers, surfers and seasonal workers (people who work a summer season in St Ives).

We're within walking distance of four beaches including Porthmeor surfing beach.

St Ives is a beautiful busy seaside town (google it) located in remote west Cornwall; we're surrounded by cliffs, beaches, stunning scenery and some amazing attractions. Nearby we have St Michael's Mount, the Minack Theatre (both must-sees), Lands End and tin mines.

We have two positions available on our morning housekeeping shift for approximately 10-17.5 hours a week.

This would involve a daily clean of the hostel as part of a three person team, including servicing rooms and cha... more inside
