We live on a small property north of Hamilton with two energetic boys (4 and 1 years old). We don't have any pets but the neighbour's chickens often come to visit, as does the sheep. Tash works in Human Resources while Peter has just finished studying primary school teaching and currently stays home with our two sons. We have a variety of bits and pieces that we would appreciate help with which may include gardening, property maintenance and household chores.

We are about to fence the back of the property,if you have experience fencing your help would be greatly appreciated.

We are also collecting fire wood that will need to be split. So if you are handy with an axe drop us a message.

Non-smokers only please. We offer all meals and a small caravan to sleep in, in exchange for 4 hours help per day. Limited internet connection available for checking emails. 30km from Hamilton, 10km from local town. SH1 is 10 minutes away where we can pick up from the bus stop in Ngar... more inside

A country cottage nestled in the fertile waikato farmland with 360 deg view of the Waikato Basin

This is an opportunity for those who want to become part of creating a working example of creative human potential for harmonious solutions to our fundamental needs as a species.

What we are looking for.

People who want long term experiences of around 1 & 1/2 months (we will accept minimum of 1 week), have practical experience, good English and comprehension, gardening skills, knowledge of permaculture, awareness of worldly corruption and a heart based approach to life. We have dealt with wwoofers and helpXers for many years now.

Our philosophy.

Demonstrate, share and show.

We value simplicity, like our ancestors did, where the human itself with its natural attributes free of distortion, is an abundant force of creativity, healing and restorative energy to all life. Any distractive or dependence based device is a corruption of natural ability and unsustainable. Humans h... more inside

We are a family of four, living on a small farm of about 8.5 acres, with horses, cows, ducks, chickens, 2 cats, a dog and baby goats for the children's agriculture day, which are loads of fun.

We are about 25 minutes drive from Thames, and 10 minutes from Paeroa. There's no public transport but you are welcome to catch a ride with us into town and join in on family activities. We like bush walking and going to the beach. The nearest Coromandel beach is about 45 minutes drive.

We follow a plant-based diet, and eat meat and animal products only occasionally. My daughter and I have a special diet due to food intolerances, but I have a recipe book that can be easily followed and I will help with that.

Our cellphone coverage is limited, but we have wifi.

We require 4 to 5 hours of work per week day in exchange for accommodation and food. On the weekends we would like you to just help out with shared cooking and washing up if you are staying. The work is mainly housework, suc... more inside

Please note we are currently full, but will update when we have space again :-)

We have a 12 hectare property situated just south of Cambridge (near Hobbiton) on which we run sheep and breed Gypsy Cob horses. We also have a cottage on the property that we run as self catered accommodation. Currently we have 2 older teenagers at home, along with 4 cats and a number of chickens.
Helpers would have their own rooms, free wifi and use of the swimming pool and spa pool. We would ask for 3 hours help a day in exchange for food and accommodation and have a variety of tasks we need help with, including general farm work, gardening, cleaning and housework.
It would be an advantage for helpers to have their own car as we are 8 minutes from Cambridge, and this would also allow them to enjoy all there is to see around the Waikato.
We would especially enjoy hosting French helpers, and can speak a reasonable level of french. For those wanting english lessons, we are happy to help.

We are looking for a mature self motivated person to help us with our small showjumping team. We require the person to live in and ideally start immediately, tasks include mucking boxes out, take horses from stables to paddocks, change waters, grooming horses, tack horses up and untack and wash horses, feed horses morning and night and attend shows around New Zealand. On days that horses are out in the field, assistance around the home would be greatly appreciated ie: hanging out washing, the person must be able to keep their workspace clean and tidy as well as their bedroom. Must be easy to live with and a cheerful personality. This position would be ideal for someone who loves horses, likes to ride on the odd occasion, wants to see the country and likes to be a part of a family.

We are a family who enjoy a good laugh, great food and conversation. We do most of the work ourselves but always happy to have a hand. Work would include cleaning, gardening and painting.

My husband and I own a hostel 35 mins of Taupo, 30 mins of Rotorua and 10 min to the cute little town of tokoroa. We need help with simple chores around the hostel. Painting, tidying of rooms, and possibly manning our cozy bar/restaurant. We have horses, chooks, ducks, dogs, and goats-you must be alright with the occasional dog pat. :) We are happy to provide a lovely room and 2 meals a day from our restaurant for 4 hours a day of work. We gladly will give you days off to explore. A good work ethic necessary! Also some skills especially needed is joinery/carpentry and plumbing. They would be greatly appreciated!

500 acres sheep and cattle farm. I run my farm with sustainability and environmental goals both short and long term. This includes general farm practice aswell as establishing self sufficiency through fruit and nut trees planted in unison with various native trees, shrubs and plants. A good vege garden, milking a cow and making cheese ect. Fencing is an ongoing project here also. My home is a big 3 bedroom two story solid 1970s house with beautiful established garden and grounds plus a self contained sleep out (unattached) I'm a shearer with experience in the tourism industry.
