Our farm is situated in the Yarra Valley one of the most popular tourist destinations in Victoria. Surrounded by natural bushland, its the perfect place to stay whilst being close to all the sights and places the area is famous for. Wineries, hiking, the arts & the Healesville Santuary are just some of the attractions you will find here.

This place was built by Justus Jorgensen, founder of Montsalvat, one of Australias oldest arts colony. The farm, barn, and house is where most of the work exchange will take place- helping to restore and recreate this historical gallery space, and helping to maintain the grounds. Duties can include, gardening, general maintenance, helping prepare food, general cleaning and would be great if you are a practical/handy person. In exchange for four hours work per day per person we can offer accommodation in a beautiful caravan (pictures included) and shared bathroom/kitchen facilities plus basic food needs. E.g. eggs, bread, milk, veggies.

We have recently purchased one of the oldest houses in Daylesford (1852) and are lovingly restoring it back to its original form. Using all reclaimed and natural finishes. It is truly a unique home with 2 x separate cottages in the garden. We have done most of the building works and now need 2 people to help with light maintenance, gardening, painting, labouring and some restoration and maybe some cleaning once we are set up. The country village we live in is one of the most famous in Victoria for vineyards, resturants, walking, the beautiful lake and many other attractions. We are a friendly couple, who eat well, are easy going. You will have your own room with ensuite.

We are rebuilding our property after a marriage break up and it is in need of TLC. We also have a restaurant that the farm supplies and our own tourist fun oark at the restaurant. We are currently building raised "wick" garden beds, so this will be a fun learning experience for anyone. I have been a guide in the tropics and worked on a crocodile farm so I have lots of stories and experience to share. I also like to go camping and fishing in the local forest"bush". Heaps of fun for those of like mind. Most of the work will be clean up and tidying the farm house and surrounds. Also gardening,

We are a small Bio Dynamic kiwifruit vineyard and apple orchard close to Melbourne in the Yarra Valley. We enjoy having guests and helpers the whole year but especially during the harvest in April / May and the winter pruning time. Other jobs may include collecting firewood, making compost and general farm tasks like feeding and looking after the chooks. The Yarra Valley is a beautiful place to explore and we are near the Healesville Sanctuary and wineries. We have two spare rooms and you will be part of the family in our warm and comfortable house.
Anne and Ian have both travelled and we both appreciate the exchange which comes from living and working together in a foreign country. Bring your experiences, recipes and musical instruments!

AT THE MOMENT WE ARE URGENTLY LOOKING FOR HELPERS FOR OUR HARVEST AT THE END OF APRIL AND EARLY MAY. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED !

Hi,

We are a family of 4, two parents in our mid 30's (Shay and Aaron) with two wonderful children, 22 month old Ella and 4 year old Elijah.

We are looking for a helper to look after the kids while we're at work for about 20 hours per week. We'd like someone who is experienced with looking after kids and is able to stay for at least two weeks.

Our house is a large family home where you will have your own room and dedicated bathroom. A 35 minute train ride into Melbourne CBD or enjoy the local shops, cafes and a nature reserve.

We are trying to live as sustainably as we can. We practice the basic principles of permaculture and zero waste on our small suburban block.

Please email or msg for availability.
