Hello! I live approximately 5 minutes drive from the centre of the city of Bendigo (population 100,000) adjoining the Greater Bendigo National Park in Victoria. It's about 2 hours north of Melbourne. My home is a 4 bedroom two story Cape Cod style home surrounded by bush (with lots of kangaroos and wallabies). I have 2 dogs and when my youngest daughter is not traveling, she lives with me too.

I have various odd jobs to do in the garden and yard. e.g. mowing, painting, clearing drains, as well as some household jobs, e.g. cleaning windows, etc. There may also be the opportunity to help me with my work - I run a sport, recreation and community planning consulting business. Meals will be supplied. Accommodation consists of one queen sized bed.

Hello travellers,

We need lots of help at the moment, the weather is beautiful and the garden looks great but we are having a massive party and there is lots to prepare.

The event will be on our property and we need to prepare the garden so it is in full glory for the fabulous party we are going to have.

There will be many friends camping over the weekend so we need to do a spot of landscaping for their arrival. All the garden lighting has been done including lighting up the forest.

The greenhouse needs some love as does the swimming pool and our border collie is always looking for new friends.

We have a lovely 30 acre property, mainly bush setting on a hill top in Durham Lead. This is located 20 min from Ballarat, which is only one hour west of Melbourne CBD. We have a fully self-contained cottage available for various times of the year. There are varied projects which we need assistance with including wood collecting, clearing particular areas, pruning, basic... more inside

We live on a 5 acre rural block in Yapeen, Central Victoria. Yapeen is a great mix of quiet countryside within easy access to the historic goldfields and artistic hub of Castlemaine. We are owner builders and in the process of finishing a unique, off grid house. Our block has a diversity of native grasses, some large remnant trees, an abundance of reptiles and birds, resident frogs and visiting kangaroos.

We have lots of plans and are in need of extra hands to get things done, but also keen for good company and to learn from and teach others. Work we need help with is maintaining and improving the biodiversity on the block (weeding, native plant propagation, planting and watering revegetation patches and making wildlife habitat such as nesting boxes), house/shed building, animal fencing and gardening we have an orchard and a large vegetable garden. We use organic methods only and implement permaculture concepts whenever possible.

We have 2 options available for volunteers wanting to stay on our farm.

Option 1 - looking for someone who is happy to do housework (cleaning, vacuuming, washing windows etc), gardening (weeding, spreading mulch, mowing) and occasionally cooking for our family. Help with wrapping and labelling soap and bathbombs is sometimes also needed. As well as attending local markets to help with setting up our stall. 4 hours work per day.

Option 2 - someone willing to stay long term and learn to feed that calves, pigs, chickens, ducks, sheep and goats. Hose down the dairy. Mow lawns and maintain the vegetable garden. (Current driving licence required, must be honest, reliable and have a genuine love for animals). 4 hours work per day.

We are a certified organic dairy farm located in Swan Reach, Victoria Australia. Our farm is 500 acres, we milk up around 100 cows and run free range pigs and chickens and have a small flock of sheep. We also have 6 dogs and 10 cats.

We're currently looking for 2-4 people to help get our camp looking beautiful for Summer. There is some hard manual labour but our place is amazing and beautiful so it will be worth it!!!

On weekends and school holidays we are a tourism business offering Treetop Adventures, Mountain Biking and much more. During school terms we are a School camp offering programs and activities for all sorts of groups around the Melbourne area, but mainly for school groups. We are in Kinglake West, about 1 hour from Melbourne. The air is fresh, the water is pure, the food is delicious and the staff are super friendly! And then there's the wildlife....A great place to base yourself to explore the Victorian High Country and the Yarra Valley.

But before we get to that, there are a few things that we were hoping HelpXers might lend a hand with. At the moment there's a lot to do, including cleaning, gardening, landscaping, painting and much more! In exchange for your efforts there will of course ... more inside

We are looking for someone to help out around our busy home in exchange for food and accommodation. We have 2 gorgeous boys aged 5 and 7 yrs, 2 small dogs, a pony, a horse and 5 ducks. We are renovating our house and working on the garden, so there is always something to do. We both run our own businesses so we may need you to look after the boys at times, or help with work in house or garden. If you have carpentry, painting or other home maintenance skills we may ask you to help with work on the house. If you are experienced and comfortable with horses, we may need assistance with feeding or working the horses. You will have your own bedroom with one queen sized bed, with a separate, shared bathroom and toilet. Ri and Neil live in lovely Bacchus Marsh (a town 40 min from Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat). Ri is a ceramic artist and works in her home-based studio. Neil works at Melbourne University in research computing.

Over the past couple of years we have had a fabulous experience hosting French, Spanish and German couples who have helped us with all sorts of house things (e.g, painting, garden work, kiln fabrication), as well as being wonderful company.

We continue with our seemingly never-ending program of home improvements. So our current set of tasks are
- weeding and distributing mulch and other garden jobs
- distributing and compacting a gravel area (already made)
- replacing some garden bed bordering

So if you fancy some garden fun, please drop us a line.

We are looking for engaging and interested visitors who are willing to have a go. We prefer couples aged 25 and over who have some basic handy-person skills and some outdoors/gardening experience. ... more inside
