This building was built in the 1880's and is a well known heritage-listed building in Quorn (population ~1500), nestled in amongst some of the most beautiful parts of the Flinders Ranges, a short distance from some great bushwalking trails, camping sites..

On the main street of Quorn, amidst the 4 hotels, train station and other historic places, this two-storey building has 3 shops downstairs (including a popular second-hand bookshop) and shady courtyard garden at the rear. Upstairs is well known for its ballroom, originally built as a billiards hall, with beautiful vaulted pressed-metal ceiling, grand fireplace and a generous balcony overlooking the Ranges- a beautiful place to relax, read a book and soak in some sun.

James the owner, having worked as a Sheriff's Officer and professional firefighter in nearby Port Augusta moved to Quorn with great plans to restore this place to its former character and improve some of its time-wearied walls and features, has lots of small job... more inside

I need help with general maintenance of animal yards, building wombat enclosure, fencing, bird and possum boxes, aviaries, some home maintenance my home is still under construction.

It is a short drive to the river Murray, where you can swim, canoe or just soak up the scenery, in the small township of Morgan.
You need to have your own transport.

I offer accommodation for 28hrs work per week, per couple. I will supply continental breakfast.

We are a family owned and operated farm that produces pasture-raised chickens in the beautiful Barossa Valley.
We provide our customers with great-tasting chickens grown sustainably on pasture in mobile enclosures that are moved daily. During the day (weather permitting) our chickens are allowed to free roam. We make all of our mobile chicken enclosures from recycled and reused materials as much as possible. We supply our chickens to restaurants and also sell them direct to the public at the Barossa Farmers Market every week.
We are looking for willing and fit workers to help with caring for our chickens. This would involve feeding/watering them and moving the mobile homes every day as well as some general farm work.
We have a number of building projects planned, so someone with building skills (or willing to learn) would be very welcome. Our twin daughters are aged three and we would love someone to help with child minding occasionally.

We have a lovely bushland property along Pelican Lagoon on Kangaroo Island. We are owner/builders and have been making progress on the project since 2009. We built an off grid stone house which runs off of solar and rainwater. We are getting ready to add on to our tiny little house as we recently had a baby girl.

We are happy to host people who are interested in learning about off grid life, stone work and bush in general. There is a small caravan available for stay and possibly an off site cabin (depending on time of year and availability). Tasks include use of chainsaw and bush tidy-up work, collecting stone, mixing concrete, building retaining walls, playing with dog and kiddo.

Happy to discuss the situation more via email. There will be times of the year that are better suited than others due to weather and tasks. In exchange for 4-5 hours of work a day you get good food and accommodation. We live very close to many beautiful beaches and our property is full of walking t... more inside
