We are currently emerging from Winter and starting to look for 2018 volunteers. We welcome applications for April 2018 onwards till about October. (However, now fully booked for August, sorry)

Hi from a relaxed, friendly nearly-retired couple who love to 'host' and welcome our volunteers as if they were family. We are a 1 hectare smallholding with sheep, poultry, pigs (in summer), an out of control vegetable garden and plenty of 'wild' bits, in NW Roscommon. You are welcome to try some (fully supervised) livestock tasks at the appropriate times of year (moving stock, dealing with families of baby chicks, sheep shearing and foot trimming etc). We try to give guests a mix of jobs and nothing too awful! You will get mowing and tidying but also, if we can, jobs for which you have stated a preference. Our most recent volunteers asked for 'wood-work' - we had plenty.

Our house is 150 years old on the outside, 5 years old on the inside. Your room will be warm and comfortable as well... more inside

We are Belfast Citybackpacker, an amazing hostel just 2 mins to Queen's University and Botanic Gardens. We are looking for optimistic, friendly people who are open for new experiences. You have the chance to meet people from all around the world and different cultures. Of course on the bonus part, you will get to know the city of Belfast and experience the Northern Irish banter (humour). In exchange for free accomodation in our 6 bed mixed dorm and free breakfast, we asked you to help us out in the hostel for 24 hours a week doing breakfast, cleaning the hostel, making beds, doing laundry plus one night shift from 11pm to 8am. After your night shift, you will have the day off. We provide facilities such as free laundry service, free wifi throughout the building, free kitchen facilities to use.

Does this sound interesting for you, just drop us an email and we will be happy to hear from you and welcome you to be part of the team.

Andre & Colin

Some time out....(from 3rd week in May)
Lady Horticulturist(BSc Degree CIT)/also qualified Healthcare Assistant, Dog lover, can offer homestays in comfortable cottage to other Women only. Overlooking a beautiful valley, the small cottage is set on a southfacing acre in beautiful rural, peaceful countryside with rolling hills. It is ideal for taking some time out, walking along quiet country lanes edged by red fuchsias, orange Crocosmias and wild flowers. Two lakes are nearby, stunning long beaches about a 25 minutes drive away. There is a new, small vegetable garden that needs to be planted, about 6 metres by 4 metres. A larger, previously established vegetable garden next to the small one is in need of some Tlc, as i had been abroad for the past two years. It needs covering to get it weed free for next year. Some plants in pots need tidying and planting out, too. I am hoping to get some hens and a goat for grazing the field and boundaries in the coming weeks, so a shed might need ... more inside

Hi,
I'm a self employed healer/ writer into health, wellness and consciousness. I have a spare room and was wondering if someone out there with skills in business, such as graphic design, mail chimp, photoshop, making nice posters, marketing, editing etc would like to swap their skills for a nice place to stay. I'd also love some help with marketing the website and getting my page number 1 on google!

In addition to working as a healer/ writer, I am co-founder involved in a wellbeing in the workplace business. We supply talks and workshops to organisations. I also have room for a good IT person to come along for a week or two and help ensure our email system/ documents/ google analytics and general connections are correct and advise us on best practise.Social media and online marketing skills also welcome!

I live in a nice little house, in a beautiful location; lake, hills etc and eat good food, mostly vegan. I love living well, peacefulness and enjoying each day. Interests i... more inside

We are a small holding on the banks of the River Barrow in Co Kilkenny. The Farm is home to producers of premium free range edible snails. I (Joe) work full time on the farm and my partner Martin works from home as a freelance designer. As well as a couple of hundred thousand baby snails, we also have 4 ducks (some ducklings just hatching), 2 chickens, 2 goats, 1 dog and 1 cat!
We have many projects this year that we would like help completing. Building a new house for the goats and erecting a fence to keep them safe in there new surroundings, replacing the netting over our snail field, clearing out an old house (currently the goats home) to get it ready for a new purpose & bring our 2018 baby snails out to their new home when the weather warms up.

We grow a lot of our own vegetables and I (joe) am always keen to learn from other experienced growers and permaculture folk.
We work hard and enjoy life :-)

We are keen to find energetic, outgoing people to come help on our far... more inside

A cottage by the sea and close to Slieve League in Kilcar,County Donegal, requires renovation, the coolest place on the planet! We are looking to restore it back to a warm, cosy cottage as it used to be. We would love to find people that are experienced in the plastering, pointing of stone, gardening and removal of cement render. Accommodation and food in exchange. There is a beach a few minutes walk away for fishing or swimming. Walking Slieve League is also close by. Own transport or to enjoy walking is essential as public transport is limited. Many Thanks, Alasdair
