HELP APPRECIATED WITH PREPARATION OF FIREWOOD
We are a couple living a simple life in the west of Clare. The farm is located in a quiet dead end road about 2 km from Connolly village. 5 acres have been planted as a Native Woodland. The rest of the farm is also planted around the borders with various trees , fruit bushes, shrubs, and herbs. Basically all the farm is treated like one big garden and eventually should sustain everyone living here. We keep Pigs,Chickens,Cows, sheep and one horse. We also have dogs and cats.We do produce some of our own meat, so please keep that in mind if you are vegetarian. We prefer couples or friends travelling together who should be over 21 years. Accommodation is in a renovated horse lorry and meals are taken together in the house. We have a compost toilet outside, which can be a challenge on a rainy day ;). We are looking for motivated, independent hands on people who are not afraid of getting dirty.Work is varied from tending to animals to garden a... more inside

We are a family of 4 adults,2 dogs,3 HORSES,and we would be interested in someone who likes horses and could perhaps help us with them - we could take 1- or even 2 people/Couple/Friends to come and live with us for a while. Our son is a film maker and our daughter age 24 is autistic...she is very capable and no physical disabilities at all. She just need some more company; to go swimming, Cycling, walking on the beach, in the local mountains, at the gym etc. Father is an author and works from home. Mother has a small internet business and works part time from home. We live on a farm just outside the town 25 kms from Belfast on the east coast and 120 kms from Dublin - the Mourne mountains can be seen from the house.. Several beaches close by and we often take picnics/walk/ride in the summer..We live in an old untidy 5 bedroomed house and we need help sorting out 'stuff' from our former larger house - old furniture, toys, games, books, paintings which needs to go to the charity shop... more inside

Hiya
I'm looking for a more mature woman.
I have smallholding with a variety of animals. I have spent many years travelling around, and working on the land doing everything from picking daffodils to looking after a herd of Hereford cows.
I have now settled down and have collected a variety of animals for myself! Ihave 8 goats, 2 milking at any given time, two suffolk cross ewes and two Jacobs. Assorted poultry, some pure breeds, some hybrids. Geese, Muscovy and Runner Duck crosses (The Borg). 2 pigs; Mangalitza (the woolly pig). Dogs, cat's.
I am growing and I use a variety of culinary and medicinal herbs for myself and the animals. I have young fruit trees, soft fruit area and lots of raised beds in progress. I go to the local shows with the goats.
I are aiming to be as self-sufficient as possible, and will expect helpers to chip in with everything! As I have recently relocated to this property I am still getting organised around the place. Accommodation is in the main house... more inside

I have a small double room in the house that would be suitable for a couple or 2 friends who don't mind sharing.

The work in general is of a physical nature with some tasks a bit more demanding then others. I try vary it as much as possible but please come expecting to g... more inside

Hello! We are John and Valerie, and Sammy and Mojo our dogs. We're at pioneer stage here setting up our smallholding farm, home and nature spaces.

We are maintaining a half acre of blueberries and two polytunnels, growing veggies, improving off-grid power and water, and building a log cabin! If you are interested in green low-cost building then it is a good opportunity for you to come here to learn about wood cabin building.

We are gonna need loooots of help!.. Accommodation is a caravan or we can make you a very cosy nest in a large tent with lots of bedding - mattress, duvet/blankets, pillows etc. There's lots of wood for the campfire, a hangout space and shower in the polytunnel.

We're not far from the coast here about 8km to beaches and Rosscarbery, we've a small village nearby and we're about halfway between Clonakilty and Skibbereen towns.

We've lots going on here but are easy-going too! We're surrounded by the beautiful West Cork countryside, with hills to w... more inside
