The place :
We live in the countryside of Cassel, a middle age village. Neighbours are cows and birds... Our place is more a house than a farm for the moment but we plan to get chickens and goats soon. We started a vegetable garden and there is an orchard. There is a beautiful view as we are up the hill. We can pick you up in "CASSEL" train station, between Lille and Dunkerque.

About us :
Chloe is praticing healing and relaxation at home. She loves nature, goats, food, arts, good talks about life mysteries!
Julien is fond of music and shows, he is an artist playing the piano in "Les virtuoses", also plays the accordion and composes music. During the week he is doing communication for a Second World War museum, La Coupole.

The Deal!
We need fit and enthousiastic people to help us with outside or inside work : gardening, renovation project in the house, building a separate little house for relaxation work... You will work 4 hours a day, and have lot of free time to visi... more inside

We are an Anglo/ French couple,(we speak French between ourselves), and we are currently doing up an old house in the centre of the village of Sommieres, which is a pretty, Medieval town on the banks of a small river. We are going to create 2 appartments in the building, the top one with a roof terrace.. So far we have redone the roof, the façade, and replaced all the windows. We are now finishing off the bathroom on the second floor, so at least one floor will be livable. the whole of the third floor needs doing, at the moment it's just a big empty room with a mezzanine, so we need to make a kitchen and bathroom up there. We also need to do a concrete floor downstairs. We do not live on site at the moment, we live about 45mins away, so you can stay with us, and we'll drive over there. We have a futon bed in a spare room for you, plus your own bathroom downstairs, so its suitable for a couple if you're both willing to work. Its a very old stone house, and we are using old traditiona... more inside

I would like help to make a proper hedge from the overgrown bushes around the perimeter.
I also need help with repainting the shutters.
I have a fully self-contained ground floor flat available with one large bedroom, sitting/dining room, kitchen and bathroom plus french and english TV.

organic farm producers with two children aged 9 and 12 (boy and girl) living in one of the most beautiful villages of South-West France
are looking for help especially with their children during the prune harvest period.

What do we expect? activities with the children like go to the swimming pool with the kids, go for bicycles rides, play games, speak a bit english with them etc.
Preparing the meals would be a good "activity" as well :-)

I have a organic soap kitchen in the middle of the fields, and would like to have a permaculture garden, but just don't find the time to.
I would need help outdoors with the donkeys & fruit trees (essentially peach&hazelnut, about 50 trees) and why not restart a garden for cooking herbs etc (f.ex. little garden with all the plants I use in the soaps...).
I have a little baby and almost never find the time to cook when my bigger children -both 11 years old- are at their daddys place, so somebody liking to cook would appreciated:-)

You will have a little appartment above the soap kitchen (but it's not 100% finished yet...), free internet & phone to "téléphones fixes" in Europe, but best would be a own car we are 5km away from the village and I only have one car.

We had 3 helpexchangers here between 2007-2010, a young english couple who came back 3 times, a japanese artist and a german friend. They stayend between 3 weeks and 3 months. As I cancelled my ancient account during... more inside

Hello, I live in a peaceful town, close to Paris, my flat and my mother's house require some work (paint, wallpaper and depending on your skills a little plumbing and masonry). Work would focus instead on the weekend and you will have a lot of leisure to visit Paris or Versailles. I offer the bedroom. For the meals, we will see in terms of our agreements. I'd prefer English or Russian-speaking people and non-smokers.

We are Ged and Karen, an English couple with a young daughter looking for a couple of able bodies and minds to help with a brand new project. Having lived around the world, from Moscow to Kuala Lumpur it is time to settle in one place for a while!

Our vision is to develop a mixed smallholding with a small eco campsite. What we are starting with is a beautiful property (already renovated), three hectares (7 acres) of attached land, gorgeous views in the South of the Loire region and importantly a good stock of wine :)

The property is a peaceful 4km bike ride from Neuvy-Saint-Sepulchre where you’ll find bars restaurants, shops and a beautiful fishing lake. We are also very close to a bus route allowing access to the beautiful old towns of Aregnton-sur-Creuse (train station), Le Chatre and Chateauroux(train station). We are also located very close to the Brenne Nation Park, with its ‘thousand lakes’ and parkland it’s a nature lovers paradise.

The work will be varied and int... more inside

Bridget and Neil living and working on 16 acres of land growing vegatables, trees and grapes. In between, a renovation project to the existing buildings and construction of a new timber framed barn. The barn will be fabricated using green Douglas Fir (Oregon Pine). All in the old Charentaise style. We also have a dog called Jack who is probably the best and nicest dog in the whole world!

The highlights of the year are:-
- the fire wook quota (Oak and Chestnut from own woods)
- the vegetable and fruit harvest along with preserving and freezing
- the making of Pineau (a fortified wine approx 17% alcohol)
- last but not least Bridget and I are both musicians playing traditional Celtic music, folk and whatever takes our fancy.
