We live on the shores of Lake Hawea,in a beautiful scenic place and operate a large sheep and cattle farm.
We would appreciate helpers to do mainly outdoor jobs, maintenance, gardening etc.ideally suit builders / handy person.
The property is isolated, approx 30 minutes from Hawea township,45 minutes from Wanaka, and 1 hour from Haast Pass. While we not have immediate neighbours, we offer a friendly family environment with lots to see do and be a part of.

There is no internet and limited cell phone coverage.
We have separate accommodation for helpers,or stay in the main homestead.
It is an advantage to have your own vehicle.
There are walks and fishing on the property.

Hi we live in a beautiful home in stunning Arrowtown and at times throughout the year we look for super fun, nurturing and caring couples to help with our lovely children. You would be helping create great memories with our kids, a bit of cooking and a bit of cleaning and a lot of playing with our 6yr old daughter and 8yr old son. Must love kids, have experience with them and have a great imagination. Must have own car and be flexible with time and on your days off head away and enjoy this amazing place! This will be a combination of paid work and consideration for the accommodation. We Look forward to meeting you both :)

Lovely house and gardens with a self contained cottage with double bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, TV, heated, wifi. If the cottage is not available then you will be using the 'games room' which has it's own bathroom but no TV or any space to make food. Ask which place you will be staying!

Jobs are mostly outside in the garden, weeding, clearing the section, raking all the leaves, cutting back trees, etc. there is some work inside the house and will be one night of staying in with the children, and one night where you can cook a dinner from your country!!
We prefer couples but are open to anything!
Look forward to meeting you

I have settled in Aotearoa in 1983 after leaving Germany and travelling the world extensively. My field of work is alternative medicine.
I live in a beautiful home overlooking the Blueskin Bay and we are part of an idealistic community aiming for self-sustainability and connectedness. You will find a variety of stunning beaches, where Xaver stumbled over a penguin last night, as well as walks in the Silver Peaks with mountain huts and plenty of bird life. The neighbouring Orokonui Ecosanctuary is a further attraction. The drive to historic Dunedin takes 20 minutes.
You will be accommodated in our own cosy sleepout, so will have your privacy.I am happy to share the meals with you and my cooking isn't suposed to be too bad.
The work would envolve gardening, lawn mowing, wood chopping or other odd jobs.A fair exchange seems to be 3-4 hours work per day. Looking forward to meet up with some enthusiastic, likeminded travelers.

We need some help with our hedges, veggie garden, general housework and some small projects based on visitors skills and experience. People with experience using petrol hedge trimmers and/or a chainsaw would be a great help in the garden. However there is lots to do if you don't have this experience.

The house is 4km from the city centre, uphill all the way! You'll need your own vehicle. However there is a 1 min walk to the bus stop. We have great panoramic views of Dunedin and are located very near walking/running/mtb tracks.

We have a short haired, friendly cat, Mel.

The spare room has a queen bed. I'd expect two hours work a day, with people being responsible for their own cooking. Helpx people we host must be non-smoking visitors, preferably with references. We have a 5 year old in the house, keeping it lively.

If you are a non-smoking couple or a single female with your own transport and are interested, get in touch and let us know a bit about yourself. We look f... more inside
