We need some help with our hedges, veggie garden, general housework and some small projects based on visitors skills and experience. People with experience using petrol hedge trimmers and/or a chainsaw would be a great help in the garden. However there is lots to do if you don't have this experience.

The house is 4km from the city centre, uphill all the way! You'll need your own vehicle. However there is a 1 min walk to the bus stop. We have great panoramic views of Dunedin and are located very near walking/running/mtb tracks.

We have a short haired, friendly cat, Mel.

The spare room has a queen bed. I'd expect two hours work a day, with people being responsible for their own cooking. Helpx people we host must be non-smoking visitors, preferably with references. We have a 5 year old in the house, keeping it lively.

If you are a non-smoking couple or a single female with your own transport and are interested, get in touch and let us know a bit about yourself. We look f... more inside

We are small lifestyle block holders on 20 acres in Tarras, Central Otago, NZ.
We currently are running 10 cattle, 5 sheep and chickens with 3 cats. In the summer we also hold piglets.
Along with this we also run travellers accommodation.
There is a wide variety of walks to explore in the local area.
We both currently work full time and would love to be able to give any helper the opportunity to experience what Central Otago and we have to offer.
We would love a hand, a few hours a day, with some landscaping a hand with the gardens and other odd jobs.
We are located 30 minutes from the nearest town so you need to have transport if you would like to explore the area.
Love to hear from you.

Late 1800's large villa and grounds under renovation. We have 2 pre school children and we both work, so need some help with renovations or general stuff: Photos show a pile of branches and scrap wood we'd like a hand cutting up for firewood. But any landscaping, hardy gardening, wood splitting, rebuilding brick steps, building compost areas, brush cutting/ strimming, painting, cooking general cleaning, general entertaining kids skills are welcome!

For half a days help we would offer accommodation and meals, but are flexible with this. Keen for 1 or 2 people to stay over Easter weekend.

We have beautiful views over the harbour, 2 min walk to pub or bus stop to Dunedin, 10 min walk to Port Chalmers, 10 min drive to Aramoana surf beaches, 15 mins to Dunedin.

Bedroom has own external access, 3/4 bed plus camp beds. Would suit one person or couple of two friends.

House under renovation but is comfortable. Kids are 2.5yrs and 4.5yrs and love visitors!

I have house in Alexandra, Central Otago with a large garden that has got a bit out of control. I am looking for someone physically strong to help with digging, de-weeding and shifting soil. Would be needed for the equivalent of an hour a day probably in the evening when its cooler, so could easily fit in if you had orchard work. Accommodation only in exchange, you would need to provide your own food. Would be needed for up to a couple of weeks max. Starting now till end of Feb/early March

Our home is a late 1800s original, in the process of an upgrade. We live 600 meters from a beautiful beach, great for swimming, fishing and surfing. Just around the corner is the beautiful Blueskin Bay - great for kayaking and collecting seafood. Just 25 minutes from Dunedin it is an ideal base for a Dunedin stopover and we can transport you to and from town to enjoy Dunedin and its environs. You will enjoy a fully cooked dinner, and breakfast, a comfortable bed for a night or two, and enjoy relaxing on the beach or playing in the bay. We could consider trades people, painters, gardeners, housekeepers, Keen child buddies (we have a live wire Tweenager with Down Syndrome). You'd need to be a go getter, people and animal lover with 3 cats in residence as well as a great Irish Setter andTurkeys, ducks, and chickens in the yard.
