My house [small solar power station] is less than 100 metres from the sandy beach shown in the photograph below, stretching 7km up to the Daintree River mouth. Wonga Beach is a small community located between rainforest covered hills and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

The nearby Daintree rainforest is one of the oldest tropical rain forests in the world and home to the amazing cassowary. The Daintree River great for seeing crocodiles at this time of year and I would be happy to ensure you make a trip to see them on one of the best crocodile/wildlife tour boats.

Wonga Beach is about 90 km north of Cairns, 30 km north of Port Douglas and about 50 km south of Cape Tribulation.

If you do not have a car the cheapest way for you to get here is the "Transnorth" bus service leaving Cairns Central at 7 a.m. (near Platform 1, approach via Bunda Street) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Book on line selecting the coastal route to Cooktown. There are also shuttle buses from Ca... more inside

Hello helpers we are a small dairy farm. So love animals. Have four cats two dogs. Poddy calves heifers and of course the milking cows. So if you would like a different experience. Love help around the house and yards. Can and are happy to show you the dairy. If you are looking for work for the 88 days we do have farms in the area and can try to help.

We are situated between Bundaberg and Agnes Water/1770 just of the Agnes Waters/1770 road.

We both enjoy the company and appreciate the extra work that can be done with an extra hand or two from time to time. Stan and I have hosted many backpackers from various parts of the world and helped many volunteers before the changes (2015) backpackers achieve their second year visa. We can sign off but must be experienced worker or very quick to learn.

If you enjoy a brisk morning walk in open country, sharing space with the wildlife and farm animals, this may be the farm-stay for you. We live in the Granite Belt region of South East Queensland where it gets nice and cold during the winter months - an excellent time to enjoy a warm night of company in front of the wood fire or to sit out under the stars around a bonfire.

We are close to Girraween NP, Bald Rock NP, Boonoo Boonoo NP, and Sundown NP. Stanthorpe and its surrounds boasts over 50 wineries, a Lavendar farm and many orchards, a couple of strawberry farms and vegetable farms.

We run a cattle and sheep farm with the usual farm animals - horses, sheep sometimes with new born lambs at present, a pony, chickens and ducks and 2 cats.

We appreciate help feeding and caring for the animals, and other farm work including fencing repairs, splitting wood, shed cleaning, gardening and general maintenance, and indoors - cooking on a wood stove, and general house cleaning an... more inside
