We are a small backpackers hostel on the beautiful Isle of Skye in the village of Broadford. We opened five years ago and are getting very busy now.

We are located on the main bus routes from Portree, Edinburgh and Inverness and are within walking distance of bars, shops and a supermarket. There are many beautiful walks from the front door of the hostel.

We need a wee bit of help with cleaning in exchange for a free bed. As we can only offer a bed we only ask 2 - 3 hours of work 6 out of 7 days. This will either be in the hostel or at our B&B (5 mins walk away staying at the hostel)

Ideal minimum stay is two weeks but we are open to discussion.

We currently need people for the latter half of September to replace our current volunteers who are returning home to Spain. Ideal would be a couple, who can share a caravan and would work together for 6 days a week 2-3 hours at the B&B. The management of the B&B speak English and Spanish, and good English skills are not import... more inside

Organic smallholding in a beautiful part of North East Scotland. We grow vegetables and fruit and run a friendly flock of Gotland x Shetland sheep. We offer simple self-catering accommodation in a mixture of huts and caravans. Our land consists of 8ha of arable land/pasture, 2ha garden area and buildings and 4ha of woodland.

Together with other residents on site, we form a loosely connected community of craftspeople and contemplatives, currently ten people, housed in a combination of chalets, caravans and the original farmhouse. Between us we run separate enterprises growing food, tending animals and running craft studios (joinery and fine wood work, film making, basket weaving, wool and other land and nature based crafts), offering nature connection skills (animal tracking, wild foraging, bushcraft and birdsong) and teaching and promoting the principles and practice of circular economies and sustainable design.

We are looking for skilled help (ideally 2 people) with the rest... more inside

This is a busy BnB on the Black Isle, a fertile peninsula just north of Inverness. Stunning views with beautiful sunsets, accommodation either in the farmhouse or a semi-converted signal box (rustic cabin)
Right now we’re looking for a capable couple with bags of energy to help us prepare for and help through the busy season. Tasks range from greeting guests, preparing rooms, taking bookings, feeding poultry and pigs, walking Ría the dog, grass cutting, gardening and helping out with general outdoor maintenance and longer term projects such as the nascent woodland garden, walling, landscaping, fencing, tree planting and so on.

Full board in exchange for 25 flexible hours per week, plenty time to take trips to the West, go to festivals, dolphin watch, climb hills or just laze around and enjoy the view. Own transport an advantage but not essential. There are infrequent bus services from Culbokie to Inverness (#22) and Dingwall. Far more buses stop at Duncanston, on the A9 about... more inside

We are looking for some help for a couple of weeks at the beginning of April. Two of our daughters are studying Spanish and so someone who is able to deliver some Spanish tutoring in preparation for exams in the summer is what we need. Any specific knowledge of maths and other subject would of course be a bonus! We are based in a gorgeous rural location at the foot of the Highlands in Scotland. As well as the help with studies for our daughters, we have various projects on the go, including lots of garden work. Whilst we are not a farm, we have plenty of chickens, dogs and are lucky enough to have red squirrels on the land.

Looking for a female to help out with our trekking school during the summer months from august -September.

We are situated in the beautiful countryside of Highlands of Scotland beside the famous Eilean Donan Castle and 20 minute drive from the isle of sky . This is a rural area with limited public transport but a perfect paradise for walking, cycling and hill walking.

We have an estate with lots of horses and are looking for someone to help assist our new pony trekking girl with the horses which would include grooming the horses and other general work in the stables. As well as this there will be general duties around the farm such as making beds for the bed and breakfast, light housework and maintaining the grass.

I am looking for someone who is outgoing and confident and someone who feels comfortable being away from home and also confident around horses and ridding. There is also our friendly Labrador Trudi who will be on the farm.

I live in the house by myself as my c... more inside

This is a Georgian mansion house located in the Scottish Borders owned by John and Ellie Henderson and their two children Lily (7) and Thomas (3). For the past 7 years they have breathed new life into the estate by diversifying. This includes a Featherdown glamping site in the garden consisting of 4 colonial style tents each with proper beds, wood burning stoves, ensuite loo and hot tubs. Ellie is the Glamping site host and is looking for ideally a couple to help maintain the tents and help greet guests on changeover days (Monday and Fridays approx. 6hrs per day) and help her in the walled garden and general maintenance of the estate outside of this time. You would be staying in the house itself. It would suit an individual or a couple happy to clean and garden and plant in all weathers so looking for those with a genuine love of the outdoors, gardening, historic landscape and an adventurous, imaginative spirit and energy.

Hi,
I am looking for 1 or 2 people sharing their own bedroom (or a room each) both with en-suite in a beautiful luxury, high spec lodge by a small loch and mountains. 15mins drive from nearest town in the heart of Scotland.

The work would be to build a couple of small websites (possibly 3) and show me how to maintain them. I am also looking for someone who has a thorough insight in fb, twitter, instagram and other social media that can teach me how to use and integrate social media into my websites.

I am open to speaking to 1 or 2 people about how long this will take and agree good working conditions i.e. number of hours per day, weekends on/off rides to and from nearest town, free room and food (or buy own food), wifi and tv.

No smoking in the lodge.

Must be doggy friendly as I have 2 wee friendly dogs. A tibetan terrier and miniature schnauzer - Yogi & Teddy both have wool instead of hair so great for people normally allergic to dogs love these two.

Many thanks, I ... more inside
