We live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. We have converted a cottage into a B&B with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and the first barn into a gite. The next stage is to convert the next barn. We also have a Yurt and a campsite, chickens, a goose, goats and 2 cats. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, we could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming hay and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. We enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis or Roxy Music!

Current project (weather dependant) include:
1. Hugelculture
2. Chicken and goose enclosure
3. House roofing

We can offer accommodation, meals and working hours. After a week then I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... but it takes normally takes two days to see them properly!

Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St... more inside

We are a retired couple who live in Normandie between St Lo and Bayeux.
We bought our barn 20 years ago and have been restoring it since, it is now comfortable warm and spacious with a friendly feel when you walk through the front door. but as with all old houses there is always something to do.
We need somebody able to help with some outside projects, for example painting, wood stacking and some digging.4hrs work per day in exchange for room and food
We have 4cats (spoilt) 1 dog (Old) and 6 goats(no milking required just a piece of bread or two or three).
Juliet loves walking and we are in a local walking group and she often goes out to find new routes for the Monday walks. We are involved in the local commune and tend to have more french friends than English so language is improving.
We offer a bedroom with shared bathroom and you would live as a member of the family. Internet access available at all times. English and French TV.
It is very peaceful here and if you love wa... more inside

A small mansion in Normandy, 1km from the sea and the local fishing village. In the area of the D-Day landings of June 6th 1944. Close to Point du Hoc and, Omaha Beach. We have a fruit orchard, a vegetable garden and a poultry yard with chickens, geese and rabbits. Help is needed all year long with all manner of things to be done. We have a large garden where we want to grow as many vegetables as we can to maintain our family and our helpers. I can teach you how to make jam, cheese and how to preserve fruits and vegetables You will share our family life for the meals and have your room in the main house. I speak french, english and a bit of italian. Access to internet The location shown on the host map with the red dot is not good. Our place is west in Normandy on the coast
I need a helper able to use a chainsaw and to mow lawns with a tractor from the end of July;work might be sometimes a bit hard and better suitable for young and strong men

The good life!
Immerse yourself in history! Come visit the maintenance and renovation of the castle of Bresson, the Renaissance castle built on the remains of a 14th century fortified house. Welcoming and transmission are the pillars of our project: passionate about history but with a resolute look into the future, Hugues wants to reconcile the past and the present by experimenting with self-construction and new farming techniques, by developing self-consumption and self-sufficiency, while preserving the solidarity and the world that underpin his philosophy of life.

Accomodation and food are provided for 4 hours of work per day, five days a week, and participation in the preparation of meals. You will be accommodated in the rooms of pilgrims (we are on the way to Santiago de Compostela) under the roofs and have dinner with Hugues and his children... Hem well... I mean with the Comte de Luzy de Pélissac, direct descendant of builders of this monument listed historical heritage. ... more inside

**We still have space for the summer season,Spring and automn do get in touch!

We have bed and breakfast with an organic garden. This is a place of peace, a little bit in the countryside but as there are always people around you`ll never feel lonely. Philippe looks after the garden while Jeanne-Marie is mostly running the bed and breakfast - making sure everyone has a good stay. We eat all meals together with all guests and friends/family.
I`m experimenting more and more with vegetarian cooking but there is always meat and fish at the table for the people who want it
And Philippe like meat always

There is always something to do, either in the bandb or in the garden. Normally in the morning you help cleaning the (bath)rooms when our guests have left. You can help in the garden, picking fruits and vegetables and learn how to prepare them for a nice, healthy meal. A good opportunity to experience proper French cuisine. French is mostly spoken but we also speak a bit English, ... more inside
