We welcome you to our peaceful, friendly home in the Somerset Region. We enjoy hosting with HelpX & have had made lovely friends from all over the world. It has made such a difference to me to have extra hands to help & all our guests have left wonderful reviews about their experience staying with us. They have enjoyed the good food & language practice as well as seeing the real Australia. I have a decorative garden, food garden and chickens and I have really appreciated some help in exchange for filling, healthy meals and comfortable, private lodging. The work involves light gardening, (weeding, pruning, planting and watering) on a daily basis for about 5 hours (negotiable) in exchange for meals, lodging and internet. Suitable applicants would need to be able to share-house with respectful consideration for others and not smoke or drink in or around the property. Energetic, self-motivated & health-conscious person preferred. Private room with comfortable double bed available b... more inside

We are a married couple of 54 years ( now 75 years old) as well as being retired for 20 years. We would love some help on our property and think this is a great idea for us to get help and to help others in return.

Singles and couples are both welcome. We will supply accommodation and meals and negotiate a fair return in hours worked by you.

The work is house work, cooking (if you are good at it) gardening and general maintenance as well as anything else that is going on around the property depending on the time you are applying.

We also have 20 bee hives and produce 2000 kilograms of beautiful honey each year. It is very tasty and the demand is always more than we can supply. There is always lots to do in this area as well.

We welcome different travellers and different cultures and enjoy having a conversation and good company. We ourselves are great travelers and have been privileged to work and travel all over the globe. We are still travelling/holidaying and swap o... more inside

We are a small Passionfruit farm sending fresh Passionfruit to the Brisbane fruit market twice a week. We have just started growing our own plants from seed and now the plants are ready to be budded (grafted) with the variety that we grow. The farm is normally run by my husband and I but occasionally we require help in the busy times from July to December. Work is available now.
We would ask for 4hrs help per day in return for meals and accommodation in the house with us.
We would love some help with the above as well as removing the old vines to make way for the new ones and general pruning and gardening help around the farm.
We have two rooms available, each with a queen size bed with a bathroom in between.
We are very close to the Glass House Mountains , Australia Zoo.. Maleny and Montville are only 20 mins away also.
We are only a 5 minute drive from the Beerwah train station and are 1 hour north of Brisbane.
We are at the foot of the Blackall Range, near Maleny and only ... more inside
