This is a smallholding which has a small herd of pedigree dairy goats, chickens and show dogs . I sometimes breed my dogs and I show them all over Ireland at Championship shows . I try to use as much natural methods of farming as possible. Help always appreciated during the year . Process and pack the milk for sale, make cheese. I also have a small kitchen garden. Only time I do not host is during the Christmas period. The work load is not very heavy. Volunteers have a bedroom with private toilet and shower. all modern conveniences in the house. Please be fluent in English. I do not have time to teach you English or to spend time explaining over and over again, due to lack of English, what needs doing and why it needs to be done I speak a little spanish. I have a policy of not hosting lone (alone) females - sorry. Neither do I host people under 21 years of age. A good sense of humour and not taking life too seriously is a bonus. If you have skype please add your details to your... more inside

I have a breeding and competition yard in Kildare and am looking for all year round help with horses and garden. Must be animal lovers as I have horses, ponies, dogs and cats. You will be expected to help muck out stables, sweep, groom animals and tend to the garden. In return, you can ride horses (if suitable) and, as a HSI coach, I can give riding lessons. If competent, you may get a chance to compete. The day starts before 8 and goes until 6 in the evening with breaks inbetween. You will have your own room in my house and plenty of food. We now have Wifi.

Help needed 6th - 25th November 2018!

I have two children aged 11 and almost 8. We have 2 rescue cats which live outdoors and a rescue dog that lives in the house. We have 10 acres of land located in a rural area, 4 miles from the large town of Thurles in County Tipperary which has excellent rail links to Dublin, Limerick and Cork. Weekends will generally be free and you are welcome to join in any family outings, shopping trips etc. There is plenty of culture and sightseeing to be enjoyed in the area and the local town has a swimming pool, cinema, library, good shopping.

Good English would be appreciated but I would love for our children to learn another language and we can teach you some Irish and help you to improve your English also.

Duties: I need to get parts of the house painted and some garden clearance done, so mainly need an extra pair of hands to do that. A few hours each day working together. There is a polytunnel that was wrecked by storms that I would like help... more inside

Hi, we have a coastal Organic farm in beautiful West Cork producing fruit and vegetables and also horses. We also deliver activities on site and in the local area. We are developing an eco-campsite. Help is needed in all areas especially with the Horticulture.

We live most of the time at the farm but also in the village of Schull about 12 kilometres away.

We would be suggesting when we have a free room at Melanie's house in Schull if you could come and explore this village nightlife a bit, at least half the time the spare room is occupied by other family members. Goleen, Crookhaven and Ballydehob are beautiful places to visit locally. West Cork is a magical location.

Accommodation is in our mobile home on site with a compost toilet outside.

Hiya
I'm looking for the more mature person, around 25 years old.
I have smallholding with a variety of animals. I have spent many years travelling around, and working on the land doing everything from picking daffodils to looking after a herd of Hereford cows.
I have now settled down and have collected a variety of animals for myself! Ihave 8 goats, 2 milking at any given time, two suffolk cross ewes and two Jacobs. Assorted poultry, some pure breeds, some hybrids. Turkeys, Geese, Muscovy and Runner Duck crosses (The Borg). 2 pigs; Mangalitza (the woolly pig). Dogs, cat's.
I am growing and I use a variety of culinary and medicinal herbs for myself and the animals. I have young fruit trees, soft fruit area and lots of raised beds in progress. I go to the local shows with the goats.
I are aiming to be as self-sufficient as possible, and will expect helpers to chip in with everything! As I have recently relocated to this property I am still getting organised around the place. A... more inside

If you are already in Ireland now, we are interested in having a couple or two friends come and visit us to help with a cementing project. We have plans for our little farm and need help in achieving them. The farm is on the side of a windswept hill, bleak, wild and beautiful. We have 6 sheep, two dogs, polytunnel, garden and lots of things to do, eg. DIY, gardening, fencing, digging, house sitting. Do you think you can you help? I am an artist and my husband is a musician and together we have a small business Adventure Gently, Guided Canadian Canoe Tours of North West Ireland. www.adventuregently.com
So if you have an interest in the Arts/Music or Canadian canoeing, animals or gardening, you will feel right at home. We have a spare bedroom so a couple would be ideal or a single helper. With a little help, I would be very happy to cook for you. We eat very well, from the garden and local producers. Contact us and we will let you know more. We have had helpxs before and always p... more inside

We have a smallholding in County Kildare with an acre of completely untamed garden and several acres of peatland. So far we have done some filling and some drainage and put in a shelter belt of trees. We have a commitment to sustainable living. We are using recycled materials for wall building, paving etc and our plan is to turn the main plot into an organic garden with an adjoining area for specific acid soil plants. The remainder will be preserved as perpetual raised bogland with its natural flora. We need very able-bodied help to assist with clearing vegetation, and other general work and building.

Our Dublin site also requires help with cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment, gardening, yard work, dealing with callers, housework and help with catering. We provide transport between the accommodation and the smallholding. We welcome applications from individual volunteers or two friends or brothers who wish to travel together.

Visit us on Facebook link above.
Good conversational English essential.
We offer helpxers private accommodation in a charming restored cottage at the rear of our premises with 2 bedrooms, kitchen/living room and shower room with toilet.

We will provide food/groceries for helpxer who can cook their own meals in their own kitchen.
