Pretty lifestyle block with wide views of a lake and mountains. The cedar and stone house is three years' old and the section is being developed to blend with the wider planting of a large steep bank in mostly natives.

We are adding further planting and establishing walkways through the trees, and the house is due to be re-oiled. So these are two of the tasks we are wanting help with.

There are just two of us living here and a cat, some chooks and cattle and lots of birdlife. The house is spacious and has available to helpXers, a nearly self-contained section which opens to a deck and a great vista of lake and trees.

We'd like people who are outgoing and have energy and initiative, and willing to lend a hand inside the house as well. Also they'd need to be able to use ladders and be OK with heights - our house is two-storied.

Our driveway is off State Highway 3, so we are on a main bus route, and are not far from Hamilton airport should people.

My partner is a... more inside

We are a small but growing business - growing oyster mushrooms and organic goodies for sale at local farmers' market. As we work towards self-sufficiency we need alot of help along the way - people with experience in alternative energies/building techniques are needed as we want to produce the mushrooms as efficiently as possible.

If you have any knowledge in natural building techniques, can weld and fabricate steel you will be put to great use.

We are experimenting with Biochar - gasifier wood stove technologies and working on a multi purpose system to be run on wood to produce steam for pasteurizing mushroom substrate, heating water and producing wood gas or electricity if any of you have an inventors knack.

Raglan is a great destination and place to live with plenty to see and do while you are here! I need self-guided individuals who are keen to leave there mark and possibly take creative control of a projects that we have planned or something new that you may bring to ... more inside

The farm is located 15km between two rural towns, Otorohanga, being one of them has a Kiwi house and is close to the famous Waitomo caves. We are close to two mountains that are great for hiking. We will require guests do general farm work and work around the house.
