We are in High Country Victoria, 3 hours from Melbourne. With 50 acres situated within the Australian Alps, surrounded by state forest and farmland. We are 17km from Mansfield, the nearest big town. From time to time we need help working in the garden, veggie patch and paddocks. We are preparing our paddocks for livestock which involves weeding and removing stones, as well as clearing fallen branches and digging / cutting out bracken. Also laying gravel for pathways. We are currently in winter and expect snow again next week!

I live in beautiful, East Gippsland, Victoria, in the small town of Swifts Creek, up in the Victorian Alps, kind of halfway between Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
(Melbourne is 4 to 5 hours away by car, longer by bus. Canberra likewise. Sydney is about 8 by car, longer by bus.)
Swifts Creek is perched high in the Alps, and we get snow occasionally.... Winter is lovely here. I have lots of warm bedding, and heaters, and a cosy fire... I love driving up to the mountain resorts and seeing the glorious views.
Swifts Creek is close to the mountains, national parks, walking and bike tracks, and caves. It truly is a glorious little place. We are driving distance to some other beautiful areas.
I can drive us to visit places, and there are some buses.
I moved here in early 2016, as local minister/priest/trained social worker/community development worker, but a large part of my work is as a comunity development worker in some remote mountainous villages ... Again, in beautiful coun... more inside

Hi there,

I'm looking for someone to help out with a winter clearout specifically help with tidying up the garden, and inside the house to make everything wonderful.

We are a family of three, my son, his kitten Victor and our other cat Rosie. I work as a paediatric occupational therapist.

I offer a room but not food.

The deal: ten hours a week helping for a room rent and amenities free. You can use the kitchen obviously and groceries can be purchased nearby.

The house has three bedrooms with a large backyard. You would have your own room. There is one bathroom. The property is roughly 30min from Melbourne CBD by train and 55min on tram. The house is a two minute walk from La Trobe University and the Bundoora reserve.

However remote, there is an abundance of facilities and activities around the area ranging from shopping, a couple of wildlife sanctuaries, large reserve, free golf course, leisure centres and other stuff.

Chat soon!
