Our family home was only finished late 2012, so we are still establishing permaculture gardens although our vegetable garden and orchard are complete.

We have a steer called Samuli, 2 chickens Thelma and Louise for eggs, and four border collies Molly Jack Tom and Spot and two cats Tiger and Missy who love company.

We are foodies and love to share different cuisines. Lee is a massage therapist(bit of a bonus)and we both enjoy welcoming Helpx to our home, and then become our extended family- we enjoy showing our region site seeing.

Lee needs help with the garden beds around the house and some farm yard work, and just general company would be lovely.

We supply a comfortable queen room/food and amenities in our home in exchange for 4 hours per day however we are flexible and are prepared to negotiate, and Bridgetown is a simply beautiful river town with good shopping, hospitality, library and amenities. It is only 1 hour 20 minutes to Margaret River(day trip) and a perfec... more inside

Hobby Farm situated in the beautiful Chittering Valley less than an hour from Perth. Peace and tranquility. Bridle Trail nearby for walks. Beautiful birdlife and wild kangaroos on property.

There are citrus orchards, vineyards and wineries, as well as The Maze nearby, and I am situated not far from the Swan Valley (where there are many wineries, cafes, restaurants and art galleries). There is public transport (bus) available from the nearby Bullsbrook townsite. I mainly require help with gardening, painting and fencing - whatever your strengths are! If you have stonemasonry or carpentry skills that would be an added bonus!

While you are here, you are welcome to join me in some of the activities I enjoy. I am involved with Madjitil Moorna Choir, which celebrates Aboriginal languages and promotes reconciliation, Muzenza Capoeira (capoeira is a Brazilian Martial Art - the one that looks like a dance), and also Akwaaba (a West African Drumming group). I am an Australian who is ve... more inside

There are many varied animals (cows, sheep, horses, chooks and children) so as a result the work avalible is varied depending on what the season is and what you are capable of doing.
Some jobs may include: Tending garden, fencing, cooking, cleaning, live stock work, teaching music, or a new language.
It would involving living in your own space (bed, toilet/bathroom and kitchen area) on our farm.
We live near wonderful beaches for surfing or swimming, and forest areas. There are horses available to ride and a coast line rich in scenery to be explored.

Would you like to come and help us create a permaculture haven on our new farm? Our 46 hectare farm is in a wonderful location, between Pemberton and Northcliffe, surrounded by beautiful karri trees and with the munda biddi biking trail going past the door and only a few hundred metres from the Bibbulman walking track. We have an accommodation business with 4 cottages, as well as 2 netted orchards, vegie gardens, an aquaculture development with several dams and marron( local freshwater crayfish) ponds, 12 cows, 6 sheep, 9 hens and our gorgeous little dog, Bunny. We have been helpX helpers in France a couple of years ago, helping to build a strawbale house, so we have been in your shoes and know that you want to have interesting experiences. There are many projects and we are constantly experimenting to find the best solutions, following permaculture principles. We also want to give our guests a great experience, so we are upgrading the cottages and you can learn a lot about woodwork... more inside

We are a family of 5 looking to host one or two people. We have 3 children (age 5, 7, 10) and a dog, so it's a good idea if you like/tolerate kids and dogs.

We live about 4km from the town of Denmark on a farm of 125 acres. Although close to town, the ride/walk is not for the faint hearted. Your own transport would be helpful, but not essential.

The range of work available is diverse and depends on the skills you have to offer. There are things to do around our house, in the garden or on the farm.

We offer accommodation in our caravan with a shared bathroom in the house. We provide you with food to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Evening meals are enjoyed together.

We ask for 4 hours work per day in exchange for meals and accommodation. Happy for you to work extra hours one day and take a day off. Non smokers please.
