**CURRENT VACANCIES. We have not had any helpers in 2018 but we're now looking for someone to join us in September to help us in the house and garden. We're ideally looking for a helper with some previous experience of gardening and/or carrying out repairs/maintenance jobs. However, the main requirement is plenty of energy and enthusiasm as our garden has become a bit overgrown this year. The work will be physically demanding as we have heavy clay soil and a lot of weeds but it will be rewarding and, we hope, enjoyable. We hope the weather will be good in September but it's never guaranteed in England so you will need to not mind working outdoors in all weather and to bring suitable waterproof clothing and footwear. NB you MUST be at least 20 and have at least some relevant experience of outdoor physical work.

We live in a beautiful rural hillside location in South Shropshire, we are a mile from the nearest lane yet only 7 miles from the lovely historic town of Ludlow. We have st... more inside

We would love to have you stay with us for a month in this little piece of Cornish heaven. Our 5 acre small holding is in need of initial clearance of buildings, sheds, trees and weeds. Once the site has been cleared the operation will involve erection of stone and wooden buildings, animal pens and associated fencing.

There may be repairs to stone barns, clearing out our river and maintaining the orchards.

If you would like to learn English better then the local community has many fun activities where you can meet people and learn some traditional Cornish farming skills.

Perhaps you have some experience to bring to the table?

We are happy to house you and feed you well in our brand new guest annex complete with magical rainfall shower room over looking the quarry cliff face. Use one of our canoes down the river when the water levels allow. Feel free to borrow a bicycle and take a trip down the country lanes. For fishermen with a valid license you may want to bring your... more inside

We are a busy couple working mostly from home. I am English and Rob is Argentinian. I have a bad back and our garden and home is suffering as a result. We have been helpXers ourselves and enjoy meeting people from across the globe. We are erhem.. middle aged and would prefer helpers over 35 for a few days. I enjoy teaching english and have done so in Spain for a few months so am happy to conduct daily lessons. Our spare bedroom is full of stuff but there is a single bed in there. Helpers can have a simple breakfast and lunch but dinner will be cooked in the evenings. We dont eat red meat but do eat chicken and fish.

The jobs will be mostly normal garden and house jobs and free time will be from 3pm daily most times. Sundays preferred if you would go exp!ore and give us some private time and on Saturdays we can show you the beautiful Peak district which is 15 minutes away by car or bus. There is a train station nearby. Sorry No smokers.

We are a family with hens who live in the Yorkshire Dales, 7 miles from Skipton and Grassington and 5 miles from Malham Cove. Local attractions and places of interest include Bolton Abbey, Burnsall, Malham Cove (limestone pavement featured on Harry Potter where peregrine falcons are nesting), Kettlewell and there are many interesting walks along the river, on the fells, moors and Dalesway footpath. We are also on the white rose cycle route. There is an abundance of wildlife and birds and on clear nights the stars are beautiful. The area is steeped in history and we could point you in the direction of some 16th Century Pubs including the awesome Craven Arms famous for fantastic locally sourced food complete with a replica Cruck barn.

We live in a semi detached house which isn't huge but we have a spare room with a day bed that can accommodate a single person. We have shared bathroom facilities. There is a TV in the bedroom & we have Sky and you are welcome to watch TV in the ... more inside
