**SORRY NOT CURRENTLY TAKING HELPERS**
we have recently started doing a B and B in addition to our usual business In the bothy that adjoins our house so help with change overs is great in addition to other bits and pieces. The changeover usually only takes a couple of hours and then just doing the laundry etc, this with walking our wee dogs is going to be a typical day. Itís a small bothy so easy to clean etc. Pretty easy going :)

About our place
Leckmelm Farm is situated just south if Ullapool in the north west highlands. Itís possible to travel in a day trip from here to places like Applecross, The Isle of Skye, Cape wrath, Tounge,, Kintail (Eilean Donnan castle), the ferry to the Iisle of Lewis is from Ullapool and takes around 3 hours a crossing. Leckmelm is a good base to have. (Scott can usually take volunteers on a day trip if here for 2 weeks or more)

We want you to enjoy your time here, at the same time as us getting some help.

***Recent work - This week we have been clearing rushes to create space for a small veggie garden. Work to be done right now includes helping create raised beds, ditching, more clearing of rushes, clearing paths and maybe some fencing.***

We have a 12 acre croft situated in the main village of Craighouse on the beautiful Isle of Jura. The island is home to about 230 people and we're lucky to be part of a great community here.

The land has never been productively used (it was only created as a croft 10 years ago) and is currently a mix of woodland and rough ground.

There is a lot of potential for the land but initially we need help clearing rushes and bracken to create space for a veg garden, digging ditches, mending tracks and cutting wood. People with chainsaw / coppicing experience or the ability to use large, petrol strimmers / weed whackers particularly welcome.

We will also be looking to paint the outside of the house this spring, when the weather allows. In r... more inside

Looking for help from the end of January onwards. We can only take placements of 2 months or more due to the nature of the work and needing an induction period.

We are looking for someone to help with our family home, children and general household chores.
If you are someone with equestrian experience all the better, preferably with experience of natural horsemanship or parelli, you would have the opportunity of working with our herd of 7 horses and ponies. If you like the great outdoors then there will be plenty to get involved with.

We are a working mixed livestock farm with chickens, pygmy goats, sheep, pigs, horses, dogs, cats and a small dairy goat unit of approximately 25.
We are a friendly young family run set up needing extra helping hands - we have 3 children aged 11, 7 and 5, you will need to like children!
We are looking for someone who can be pro-active and use initiative. Someone who is light-hearted and has a sense of humour.
We have a caravan or our yurt i... more inside

We are a retired couple with husband registered disabled. Until recently I was an active Helpxer in Europe but now am limited to light duties only.

We have two needs - one anytime from now and the second maybe from Easter depending on the weather.

We seek a competent carpenter to hang / rehang doors and generally help us keep the house in good condition. I would estimate a week's work based on 4 hours a day and am happy to commit to hosting for that time.

From Easter we want to substantially redesign our back garden and consign our 15 sq metres of decking to the fire. We will be laying stone tiles and digging / constructing a water feature / pond. Then reconfiguring lawns and veg patches. Strong backs and knees needed as well as passion for gardening and creative input as plans by no means finalised.

Also under and gloss painting needed in the house on a few doors.

The working day will be dictated by the needs of the job and weather - but probably no more than 4 a day... more inside

I am based on the edge of the lake district, running two small businesses. I am looking for helpers through the summer months to assist with a range of jobs, including marquee work, activity leading (paintball & archery) along with various odd jobs.

There will be plenty of opportunities to travel the local area, along with occasional work trips around the country.

We can look to help arrange accommodation, as well as offering a wage.

Experience not necessary, just a proactive attitude.

Full time work available through until October.

***********from January 2019**************

I am looking for someone to help with childcare or the garden or both! Currently childcare is more urgent but I will consider either. I can provide a double room with access to shared bathroom and kitchen and I'd be happy to provide vegetarian food. There is central heating, shower, bath, two toilets, constant hot water, access to cooking facilities and wifi.

I have a 9 year old son and 2 cats. I work from home and also occasionally have Airbnb guests so need to keep the the place in good order and appreciate guests that tidy and clean up after themselves. You would have access to the whole house but there will be times when we may ask you not to use one or other sitting rooms depending on my work or other. Happy to show you around and spend some time together but also hope you'll appreciate time to explore independently and understand that we will all need some space.

My son is 9 and likes to get on with his own things most of... more inside
