This a collection of stone properties right at the sea in Wexford. They are holiday accomodation and have been renovated somewhat but there are more buildings to finish renovating, maintenance to be done and garden maintenance, as the area is beautiful but substantial. We are looking for ideally a couple or a couple of friends who are interested in building work, restoration, can help run the holiday lets from Easter to September so cleaning / laundry. We dont live on site so it wiuld be better to have company, possibly. We live in Ladys Island about 3km away, the nearest villafe. Check us out it is a magical spot. Views to die for!

A developing residential arts centre that needs a variety of skills in volunteers to help become a reality. We are doing a lot of stone building, landscaping and there are always things to do in the garden. Anyone with carpentry skills, especially with a creative eye, is very welcome. Its lively here sometimes, especially in the summer months, I have WWOOFers as well as SERVAS visitors and a variety of friends constantly coming and going. Everybody is included as part of the family, visitors mainly stay in caravans and have a small converted shed as a relaxation room/kitchen etc. There is quite a good music scene locally, and at home at times! We sometimes all eat together, sometimes helpers cook for themselves. All the food I prepare is vegetarian, but I'm told its very good!
Specifically right now I am looking for a ‘House Elf’ – if they came along with a carpenter that would be great! But no slavery – you get given a pair of socks on arrival! ?

A Georgian house built in 1802 with a victorian watermill and home to us and a number of dogs

As with all old buildings it is all a labour of love. The winter sees no major projects on hand but there is day to day stuff and end of season maintenance painting and carpentry stuff

With dogs and horses, there are animals to help with and fly fishing on the mill pond and river for the real enthusiast.

You will be living in the mill, in a dorm style bedroom, there is a recreation room bathroom facilities are on the other side of the courtyard but all life in this house revolves around the kitchen.

We are looking for people to help us during summer, we are painting and generally tidying up so its not technical or requires any great skills

Durrow is halfway between Dublin and Cork, and we are happy to help with transport to and from Portlaoise and Kilkenny.

Come and help us restore an old wooden boat for sailing, skilled and unskilled jobs aplenty. Long term helpers welcome. Short term too. Conditions basic but comfortable. Food vegetarian, good and plenty. We especially like people who recognise that having guests is also work and who help make this easier by washing up etc.

We are developing a small sustainable community based upon ancient Native American communications ideas of The Circle Way as put forward by Wampanoag elder Manitonquat (Medicine Story) which helps us to live and work together as a community. We have a beautiful area of land in the hills of East Clare with woodlands and open field areas and a comfortable community house for visiting helpers to use (single and 2-bed / 3-bed rooms available). We are developing gardens and an orchard and we have a polytunnel. We usually ask volunteers to work 4 to 5 hrs per day and have weekends free. There is a variety of work to do according to weather conditions, including occasional indoor work. We have plans to develop a large open-sided barn to create rooms for meetings, games, workshops. We also need to construct new garden areas needing fences, polytunnel, raised beds, clearing field-drains, etc. In addition we are working on personal spaces for residents and regular cutting and storing of f... more inside

This is an ideal place to stay when exploring this most beautiful, hidden part of Ireland's rugged south west coast. Local tourist attractions include boat trips to the Skellig Rock also known as Skellig Michael, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the iconic McCarthy, the Gaeltacht village of Dungegan or ‘Dun Geagan’ in Irish, is home to a restored thatched cottage and a pre-famine village Cill Rialaig, now used as an International Artists and Writers Retreat or you might just want to indulge in and visit The Skellig Chocolate Factory amidst the awe-inspiring scenery around here.

You can stay for free in a room for helpers in exchange for 4 hours a day (5 days a week) of general duties (housekeeping, beds, small maintenance tasks. Reception work might also be available. I would need helpers to commit for a minimum of 2 weeks, Please note that food is not included and that there is no remuneration being paid. This is 100 per cent volunteer work but it is also all about good times! ... more inside

I live in a large modern house with a variable number of older children (27,19,18,14yrs) plus 2 cats and 2 dogs and a large wildish garden, no veg but flowers, fruit trees and bushes, lawns, japanese knotweed that needs regular picking out, taming wild bits, woodland. So enthusiastic cooks cleaners, diy enthusiasts, gardeners, most welcome. What I most often need is someone who can housesit while we are away, feed the pets and do some jobs, for a few days or a week or two at a time. Upcoming dates that I need house sitting for are September 9th to 18th 2018. We live in a small village, irish and other music in pubs locally, instruments in the house, cello, guitar ukulele keyboard. We are warm, welcoming, lively, easy going, try to eat healthily. I frequently feel stretched so would welcome the support in the house. My children have gone to a local Steiner/Waldorf School and I work in a neighbouring Camphill community for people with special needs - Mountshannon is a small coun... more inside

HELP! I've bought an Old Farmhouse by mistake, I need the good, the strong and the not so ugly to help me out. I sort of want to say it's organic, but I've had a brief peruse of other hosts and they're all talking about permaculture, which I thought was a bad hairstyle fashion, big in Liverpool in the eighties, along with shell-suits and rioting! I'm out in the sticks here people, well just a 15 minute drive from the famous Medieval city of Kilkenny, 'The Marble City' -self flagellation and thumb screws are optional- bravery is not, so just 15 minutes out of town and in the heart of the Kilkenny Mountains, on a rare night, like tonight, every single star in all the Galaxy, lights up the Irish sky, the crows snore, loudly and if your lucky and drink enough you might just see the leprechauns dance through the woods, that's a very rare night, it's mostly overcast and chucking down unreasonable sums of rain. Don't be alarmed during the day, which may also be damp, if you hear a tractor ... more inside
