I have a lovely warm double room to share in my home with my husband and two sons. It is the downstairs section of the house so a little more private. We are located in the heart if waihi which is a seaside town of waihi beach, with beautiful scenery and rich in mining history. In exchange for a warm bed and three meals a day we would like 5 hours work help in our cafe. Helping in the kitchen and cleaning up. With the possible options of learning to to be a barrista and preparing our cafe foods. Where possible food is organic and local. We are very happy where possible to show you the sights of waihi to ensure you leave with valuable knowledge and good memories. I would prefer two friends or couples with very good skills in English as you will be communicating with customers. Can't wait to hear from you, kerri.

I have 50 feijoa trees that I hope to start making wine or cider from, also other fruit trees and a large garden that needs tending and property maintenance and development to be done. I am a herbalist and wish to develop more gardens for herb growing and erect a shed for manufacturing herbal products. I can offer good accommodation and meals in return for an average of 4 hours work per day. There is always something that needs doing, from painting to mowing and gardening, for the skilled or unskilled. Any age considered with an average stay of 1-3 weeks. My property is in the Karangahake Gorge where you can enjoy the many bush walks & tramps, the river and a cycle trail. I have a couple of bikes that can be used for riding.

We have a beautiful 4 acre piece of land near Raglan overlooking Hauroto Bay. Its about 10 minutes drive away from the little surf town of Raglan back towards the City of Hamilton. We are still in the early stages of turning what used to be paddocks into gardens, orchards, food forests and regenerating native bush along permaculture lines. We are a New Zealand / Tibetan couple that has done quite a bit of travelling. We have two little girls so you need to be kid friendly if you come to stay. We try to eat from the garden as much as possible and have chooks for eggs too. We can cater for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Mostly we need help with the garden (weeding, harvesting, planting) and with tree planting (winter months). Might be some small building projects or other bits and pieces. We are open to people suggesting projects they might like to do while here if you have a special skill or talent. We have a caravan near the house with power and have a spare room inside the ho... more inside
