We live on a sheep and beef farm.
We have 3 children, 1 which is 6 years old and we have twins which are 3 years old, so we are looking for someone that is great with kids and loves the farm life. Maybe a good place for a couple to come. We are 1 hour 40 minutes from Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin and Invercargill.

I'm a single mom. I have three small children. I'm an educator doing community development and literacy grassroots research, but mostly I'm just a stay at home mom. :)

We have a little house, but I have a free room with a single bed. I also have a super comfy couch if two people wanted to stay for a few nights.

I mainly need light help around the house and a bit of spring cleaning. There is a little bit of gardening, and maybe some bigger house projects if that's your cup of tea. I probably only need closer to 2 than 4 hours of help a day, and I can offer your own room and dinner, as well as a simple breakfast.

I would love to host people with interest and skills in education, sociology, community development...that sort of thing. As my grassroots foundation develops, I will have research projects available, and presentation work (writing and graphic designing for a publication or a website).

A high country farm with sheep, deer, cattle and a large garden.

An amazing view of Lake Hawea and mountains.

The main roles would be doing some gardening & landscaping work and some general jobs. We are on route to the Haast Pass and situated close to Wanaka (20 minutes) and Queenstown (90 minutes).
Lots of great local walks and activities to do. We are a short walk to the lake.

Prefer helpers with own transport.

We offer working holidays on a peaceful historical Island away from busy life, a place to disconnect and slow down in a very unique setting right in the middle of the Otago Harbour! Many volunteers help out on the Island. We have several projects we'd love help with; weed control (rope skills an advantage!), painting/ maintenance, and releasing seedlings (cutting back long grass so they don't get smothered). We can offer free accommodation in our 'lodge'which is like a rustic tramping hut, with electricity. It has a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. You'll need to bring/cook your own food/meals.( can drop you off occasionally to shop (There are no shops or cafes on the Island!). We can cover the boat transport to the island. While we'll appreciate your labor, we'll insist you take time to relax too! The island is a perfect place for those who like to explore. We have kayaks you can borrow if the weather is suitable.
-please bring SLEEPING BAGS
-wash clothes before coming on... more inside

Two boys 7 and 9, a mum and dad, dog and cat living in beautiful Wanaka. We have a spare room. We exchange 3 hours of help a day for accommodation only. Lawn mowing, housework all fairly mundane. Dad is away for a month and an extra pair of hands on deck would be truly helpful.

I'm updating this after having taken a break for a while....old farmhouse on the Otago Peninsula that overlooks Latham Bay and Lamlash Bay. Regular buses run from Dunedin to Portobello, which is only a two minute walk away from the house.

There is a renovated cow shed that serves as a large glass house, a former sheep pen that is/will be planted out and smaller patches of vegetables and herbs around the property.

There are two cats and free range chickens.

Aside from tending to vegetables and keeping the garden in check, there are always plenty of other options/projects to dive into... basic building and renovation work and painting etc.

I don't count hours of work done. I trust you to make a reasonable contribution.

I can offer a room, free internet and possibly the use of a bike to explore the wildlife ( penguins, albatross, seals, sea-lions etc) and the varied scenery of the Peninsula.

I sometimes bake bread and tend to cook vegetarian Indian food. I do eat me... more inside

Hi there fellow travelers,

Im looking for only short stays, up to 7 days at this stage, depending on your skills.
I have a building project! I'm away till second week in October. Looking for someone after that, to help with some small painting and garden jobs.

After travelling myself for many years, I have now brought my own peaceful part of the world in Ettrick.
Im 1.5 hours from Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown and Wanaka.
There are daily buses from all main cities that stop at Ettrick Shop, or in Roxburgh where I can pick you up or drop you off. I live 4 mins away from Ettrick sort of out of town with amazing view of our lovely valley.
We are 12km/10min away from the nearest larger town of Roxburgh.
I would like someone to help me in my garden and also other interesting job around the farm, working for approx 4 hours a day.
I have a few friendly cows who loves lots of attention! I pretty much live off the land also build and fix almost everything around the farm.
