We would like a couple to help get our garden back in order (weeding and pruning). There could possibly be some general landscaping/labouring (there is a walkway that needs gravelled), depending on the person.

Length of stay - 3 day minimum, no longer than a week. 3 hours of work per day required.

Accommodation is in a shepherds hut separate from our home. There are basic cooking facilities/bar fridge/ensuite bathroom. Note it has a composting toilet and there is no wifi or tv. Queen size bed. No smokers and you will need to like animals as we are a small working farm. Own transport required and you will need a current WHV.

This is a work exchange for accommodation only. We will also supply you with farm fresh eggs for breakfast and depending on the work you end up doing (if we can get someone who knows how to build fences for instance) then we will also provide an evening meal.

We are located 5 minutes drive from Oamaru. We fatten bulls on a 200 acre farm, plus ha... more inside

Hi there,

We have a house with a large garden in the middle of a vineyard and are regularly looking for help with gardening, irrigation and other housework. We have 2 children who are 9 and 11, and a dog.

Generally we have people for staying for up to a week at a time.

We are looking for helpers now - please get in touch if you are interested.

We are a family with two young boys (5 and 7) living on a lifestyle block on the coast 20 minutes North of Dunedin. We have sheep, chickens, a dog, and two cats. We spend lots of time outside doing odd jobs or in the garden.

We'll provide meals and accommodation which is in a self-contained guest house with a queen bed. We expect 3 - 4 hours work a day depending on the job :-) Wifi is also included although we don't have an unlimited amount. We expect our guests to clean their accommodation at the end of their stay (clean bathroom and kitchenette, put out rubbish/recycling, and vacuum the floors). Please do not apply if you are a smoker.

The nearest shop is a 10 minute drive away and the nearest bus stop which will take you to Dunedin is a 20 - 25 minute walk from our house. We do go into Dunedin at least once a week, often more and we are happy to take people along for the ride if you would like to explore Dunedin.

There are a lot of lovely walks in the area and many ... more inside

Hello! We need help mostly with landscaping, building, gardening and general chores. Our modern house is in Maryhill, a short bus ride from the centre of the city. Helpers would have free internet and their own bedroom (2 beds) that opens onto a deck. Dates are negotiable. We are non-smokers, with a 5 year old child and 2 cats. We are not vegetarian and generally can't accommodate special dietary requirements.

We host Farmstay guests on a regular basis.
Help is required in large garden. Ironing of linen and some house cleaning duties would be expected in exchange for food and accommodation.

Your accommodation is in a comfortable cabin and shared bathroom facilities. You have your own living area with TV, kitchenette and fridge. (see photos)

We live in the Catlins, nearby the Purakaunui falls, and where you can visit beautiful beaches, native bush walks and many waterfalls.
Surfing, fishing and we have bikes that you may borrow while here.

Your own transport is essential.

We live on a sheep and beef farm.
We have 3 children, 1 which is 6 years old and we have twins which are 3 years old, so we are looking for someone that is great with kids and loves the farm life. Maybe a good place for a couple to come. We are 1 hour 40 minutes from Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin and Invercargill.

I'm a single mom. I have three small children. I'm an educator doing community development and literacy grassroots research, but mostly I'm just a stay at home mom. :)

We have a little house, but I have a free room with a single bed. I also have a super comfy couch if two people wanted to stay for a few nights.

I mainly need light help around the house and a bit of spring cleaning. There is a little bit of gardening, and maybe some bigger house projects if that's your cup of tea. I probably only need closer to 2 than 4 hours of help a day, and I can offer your own room and dinner, as well as a simple breakfast.

I would love to host people with interest and skills in education, sociology, community development...that sort of thing. As my grassroots foundation develops, I will have research projects available, and presentation work (writing and graphic designing for a publication or a website).
