A biodiverse orchard, nursery & learning space which is still in its infancy.
Join us on the journey of orcharding, living simply and following the seasons.

We follow permaculture principles and deliver a wide range of educational events throughout the year to teach others about regenerative farming, food growing skills and community connection. We also open our second, established orchard as a pick-your-own from Feb till May.

We are a family of five and both Jade and Charlie work 1-2 days each off the farm. The 3 kids are all at school.

We founded the local community food co op and are heavily involved in that as well as being very proactive in the local food movement in the region.

We have a retrofitted packing shed that is self contained for our visitors and helpx crew. We run a large vegetable garden and have chickens, geese, bees and dogs. Some of the projects we are about to begin work on are: hoop house completion, propagating our nursery plants, paddock seedi... more inside

I am what some may term a "Trendy Nanna" - some people refer to me as "Nifty Nanna" - anyway I am a Nanna to many - both blood and "adopted" - I am now retired and live in my own home which is far to big for me alone so I have opened it up for share accommodation - mostly for students from all over the world - I have many "new children" and have been lucky enough to visit some of them in their homelands and even to attend a couple of their weddings - I have eight of my own children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren - both blood and adopted and they are scattered world wide - I am now on nocturnal dialysis and have been trained so that I can carry out the procedure myself at home which I do 5 nights a week. I am an habitual magpie which seriously needs attending to and I absolutely love gardening. I am a born again Christian and would like my guests to attend church with me on Sunday morning and a local group meeting called URBS every second Tuesday evening,

*Not currently taking helpers but you are welcome to contact us if you are planning to be in Melbourne in 2019

We are a friendly and active family with 3 children (aged 10, 9 and 3), 1 dog, guinea pigs and chickens. We live on a large, mostly native block that backs onto the Yarra River where you can swim and kayak. We have a big vegetable garden and our home is solar powered.

We are often looking for helpers who like gardening, including mulching, weeding and planting. We also have some painting and cleaning jobs and if you like children and dogs there are opportunities for baby sitting and long walks in the bush.

We welcome all nationalities (Meg speaks Spanish) and can cater for vegetarians or other dietary requirements. No smokers please.

We expect 4-5 hours work each day but you can choose your own hours. In return we will provide all meals with our family and accommodation. If you want to provide your own food then 3 hours is ok. We have a room for guests with an ... more inside

Small family block in Healesville on the Graceburn (creek). We have a small orchard, chickens and vegetable garden. We are working towards growing enough produce to sell at a local organic market.

Work at our place might include, native revegetation of creek, pruning and orchard maintenance, market gardening tasks, house painting, carpentry, tiling, irrigation, pizza oven building, child minding, house chores... Open to negotiate but we’d be happy for 4-6 hours work per day in exchange for board and meals.

We have two children, two dogs and ten chickens.

We have bicycles for use and unlimited wifi.

We are ten minutes from the main st on foot, food and wine lovers and bakers of sourdough. We can show you the local bird life, bushwalking spots and the local animal sanctuary.

We are not certified organic but try our hardest to work organically in practice.

Looking for helpers from January 2019.

About us: Our little family of 3 is growing in the new year so we are looking for some household help. Our family consists of myself (Brenna) and my husband James, both in our early 30s, and our 4 and a half year old son Joel. We also have a new baby due in February. We are a very friendly and environmentally conscious family living in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, around an hour from Melbourne CBD. The Dandenong Ranges are a tourist destination in themselves and we live walking distance from many local attractions (or a short drive/ bus ride.) We love sharing our home and hills with guests and learning about cultures from all over the world, traveling is now beyond our means but we love to travel through your stories of the word! Before having our son we spent 10 months backpacking through South America, some of our greatest experiences were our helpx days!

Help needed: Being heavily pregnant and soon to have a new bub, we are looking ... more inside

I am an academic doctor who specialises in wellness and tries to walk the talk. I live on a steep half acre property in Warrandyte, surrounded by trees and walking distance to the bus stop, cafes and the Yarra River. My property boasts a chemical free swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, a sauna, a small organic fruit orchard and a veggie and herb garden, along with many decks and hammocks. Our house is a non-smoking household where we eat mostly organic food, drink mountain spring water and enjoy music and a good laugh. There is always plenty to do around the property, which I share with my two teenage sons who are with me half the time.

NEWBY at this

Come and have fun helping in the garden! - Digging, weeding, transplanting, soil toiling, mulching painting. Our home is a quaint old fashioned cottage and garden.Helpers need basic fitness and a readiness to learn and to be involved are essential.

Our names our Cath, Jack & Pat.. At the moment we are a little busy with work, renovating and running my small business. My husband Brendan has been very ill and this has impacted on our lives, so we haven’t had the time to do the things we’d like to do around our home and we are in need of some extra help and my friend suggested we do helpx for some assistance and we can show you the Aussie life.

Our home is in walking distance to the village where there are local buses and cafes. We are 1 hour DRIVING from CBD and we live close to national parks and famous tourist attractions. Accomadation is a shared bathroom. Maybe a bedroom or self contained caravan.

We also like you to participate in normal family household... more inside
