We are a busy family of 5, living the perfect life in Somerset close to Glastonbury (perfect except that we have too much to do). We have a large garden in need of lots of work. We are needing at least two people to help tidy and prepare the garden for spring, to scrub a large stone floor and to help manage a woodland where all of the undergrowth needs clearing. Meals will be provided and accommodation is in a room attached to our house but with a separate outside entrance.

Beautiful old cottage and 'gardens' in the Tamar Valley, Cornwall, an area of outstanding natural beauty - between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, one mile (on foot) to the River Tamar, half an hour to the south coast and one hour to the north coast (by car).

Sue (Mum) and Grace (daughter) live here, Marcus lives up the hill, and various friends and family visit and join in. We are in the second year of a new plan for our land. Sue has been here for 34 years, raised a family, grown food, flowers and herbs, worked as a healing therapist and run courses and ceremony.

Much of the land is sloping, with limited sunlight hours but last year we got a south-facing flat piece of land! Our aim is to develop a new community project to grow more food, keep more chickens, plant a new orchard and develop the healing and community side with an emphasis on reconnecting with nature for health.

What’s needed is enthusiasm and flexibility for a wide variety of tasks – and extra strength and physi... more inside

We live in a small town on the edge of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire UK. Our house has a small piece of land and we are looking for volunteers to help with small building jobs such as putting in fencing/painting/planting out. We are looking ideally for volunteers who could work up to 4 hours per day for a week in June or July.
Our town is surrounded by beautiful countryside suitable for walkers, but on good transport links to both Manchester and Sheffield. Buxton is 8 miles away. Manchester offers theatres, museums, art galleries and great restaurants. The Peak District offers great walking, pubs, stately homes, archaeology and chocolate box villages. We are happy to have male or female volunteers of any age. We are two early retired professionals recently moved into our 1920s semi. We would be happy to show volunteers around the area as well as providing meals and a bed.

I am a single parent with 2 grown children and a girl of primary school age.
i run a small party decorating business and have a small general home and hardware store,

I am now in the process of equipping the shop

the wedding business is very interesting and demanding during the peak season of the year, because various wedding or party decorations jobs needs to be ready before taking them to venues.

This is very interesting but sometimes can be demanding due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop.

There are skills that can be learnt here which will be useful for knowing how to decorate for special occasions. how to design balloons and also how to arrange silk flowers and gain experience in customer service skills
you will also improve on English skills if this is needed

The person i am looking for must be a FEMALE that is very neat and clean

I am looking for someone who is willing to commit to at least a minimum of 2 weeks or more and also keep to th... more inside

We live on the water's edge of the River Dart in beautiful Devon !
We need help in the garden and vegetable garden, chopping logs and clearing up generally.
We need help in my scuptor’s studio moving plinths and sculptures and maybe help with sanding and ‘roughing out’ wood. Tidying the studio too.
It would be good if a man could use a chainsaw?.
In the house we need help with clearing out cupboards and maybe cooking for the freezer , also decorating/ painting and DIY in the house if the weather is bad outside.
We also have old wooden boats that need attention .
We are two miles from the village shop but have two cars and can transport people easily to Totnes or Dartmouth:

Are you available for at least 4 weeks? Do you have experience with horses/ponies? Housework? Gardening?
We are a Riding holiday centre with 14 ponies and other animals (goats, chickens, guinea pigs and geckos!
We are in the Lincolnshire Fens - flat fertile farmland on the East Coast of England. It is a very rural area, about 6 miles to the nearest town, but there is a station 2 miles away and a demand responsive bus which comes past the farm (but not often!).

In return for your work we can offer you a nice room in the farmhouse and home cooked food plus some horse riding. You need to be versatile and do a bit of everything, as no day is ever the same here! Someimes the work outside mucking out can be physica... more inside

We are a highly rated (5 star Tripadvisor) in the picturesque Wye Valley. We are situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and are right on the border of England and Wales. We are on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean with the River across the road. The famous walking trail Offa's Dyke is right outside the garden gate. The border area has many castle and abbey ruins. There are well known mountain biking centres within a few miles with an abundance of of outdoor pursuits close by. There are many canoeing and kayaking centres in the area.
There is a bus stop right outside the house serviced by a bus running between Chepstow and Monmouth which drives past the famous Tintern Abbey.
Easy day trips are Bristol, Cardiff, Hereford, Abergavenney, Brecon and Ross on Wye.
