Join us at our magical Tudor house, in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex.

Hi, we are Nicky and Rob and we live in a small village called Northiam, near the historical cinque-port towns of Rye and Tenterden, surrounded by numerous Castles and gardens. We moved into our 400 year- old house in 2017 and have slowly been making it our own. We would love you to come and share our unique space for a few weeks, helping us continue to make our home and gardens special. The landscaping was helped and inspired by a famous horticulturist called Christopher Lloyd and needs some love and care to be restored to it's original beauty. Rob and I have travelled all over the world and love meeting new people, exchanging stories and experiences with open minded friendly helpers in our beautiful relaxed home. We have grown up children and grandchildren who have all flown the nest. Nicky comes from an art background and is passionate about interior design - so we have a rather quirky home!

We are an English husband and American wife, and with our two young daughters have a small detached house in rural Wales. We have an acre and a half of garden and woodland. A beautiful stream runs through our garden, and the views around are breathtaking. We're bordering the Cambrian mountains, half an hour away from Aberystwyth seaside town.

Not currently looking for helpers but just updating my profile.

I would like help in the garden for maybe a week , this would be some digging and some garden reorganisation.I would really need some help just March/April. The garden is about approx 3 acres and I am very keen on growing vegetables - we have either a 1 bedroom cottage for accommodation or alternatively to stay in the house ( run as a B&B!). Either accommodation we would of course provide meals. Hugh ( my husband ) and I and Bhodi ( our black labrador dog !) live in the house .
We are near public transport to the city of Edinburgh and all its many attractions.

From mid March we're looking for help!

Hi, we've recently completed building our home on a small croft in a beautiful, fairly remote location in Wester Ross (3 miles from a bus route) We have an energetic Springer Spaniel called Bracken.

We have so many ideas of what could be done here, as we face a climate crisis on our planet, but are taking it a step at a time.

-We've just erected a polytunnel and plan to grow vegetables and some fruit in it.

-We've started to plant up an orchard.

-We will be constructing raised beds and New Zealand compostors.

-We have hopes of rebuilding a very old ruin on the croft and turning it into a store/workshop.

-Drystone walling (minor work)

-Woodland management

We are reusing and upcycling what resources we have and are becoming more creative...all ideas welcome!

We're looking for someone to work from 9am-1pm Monday to Friday. In exchange you will have a bedroom in the house and use of a shared bathroom. Use of wash... more inside

ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE?

Do you have any carpentry or building skills? We are looking for help in the summer of 2020 and beyond.... once we get the Building Warrant ( I hope quite soon) we will be starting to build a fairly eco house made from our own home-grown and home-processed timber....and insulated with hempcrete. We have already renovated a potting shed and greenhouse and have laid the foundations.

We live in the lowland hills of S Scotland, in a stunningly beautiful, wooded valley with the River Whiteadder flowing along it.

Work will be very varied depending on the time of year, the weather, and your skills.
We have a skilled joiner coming in April to build the house who has been with us on and off since last May. He is very good at teaching his skills and making the most of the skills of the helpx-ers.
Other jobs could include varied gardening jobs, picking black currants, raspberries and strawberries for eating/drying/freezing/making wine and cordial ... more inside
